Every time I see a video like this or even go to the beach, I say to myself how violent and terrifying the ocean is, but it’s amazing at the same time.
Yeah.

Imagine the vikings that went through this in their wooden boats. Must have had balls the size of grapefruits
they cared not,Odin was on their side.
Norwegian Vikings went all the way to America from Norway. Normal stops along the way: The Faroe Islands, Iceland and Greenland. Areas not known for still waters. Neither is Norway tho, so before we crossed the sea, we had a lot of practice right here at home :) But surely many died, as wooden boats offer the best sailor little protection against such forces. Although keep in mind this cruise ship is incredibly large and heavy, so the challenges faced by Vikings might have been different, as maybe their smaller ships would sail more smoothly over these mountain-like waves.
@@GangeHrolfr considering humanity made surf into a sport, maybe they enjoyed riding the waves in the boats like a roller coaster

The Captain and crew can have the nerves of steel, I need a bottle of whiskey and a straw if I am gonna be riding through that as a passenger.

Thanks to James Cameron, I will never go on a cruise ship trip, even if become a billionaire someday! Can you imagine drowning in an ocean and the deeper you go, the darker the ocean becomes!?
Note: Don't even bother making me change my mind!
On top of that some ships allow you to go to the front of the boat when ever you please! You would be completely thrown off by the power of the ocean
Im with u
I agree 💯
You're dead already
I don't think the darkness is your biggest problem if you're drowning in the ocean
I went on a cruise a few years back and we encountered 7m waves, it's was such a cool experience with the whole ship shaking every time it hit the water
I am wondering what the passengers are experiencing when the ship crashes down? How are they not tossed about?
Cool? That is not the word I would use to describe such a situation 😂 but ig to each his own
@@cristinaherrera5321 it's not exactly a violent shake, more of whole ship vibration - I would happily experience it again! They're huge and made to withstand that - I wish I had filmed it
@@jessebarrass158 I would probably crap my pants. Hell, turbulence on a plane makes me feel like I am going to die. Last time I flew and there were such severe turbulence, most passengers were nervous and I gripped my companions hand so hard I left cuts from my nails, which are very short.
@@jessebarrass158 you can't really film it - you can only experience it. I also really liked the zero-gravity while the ship falls down below you

Absolutely scarry, stunning and goosebumps!
I've been on a cruise in a storm like this. Waves higher than the 4th floor of the cruise and hitting the 6th floor. Scariest thing ever. Also most satisfying
Being on board of that is literally what cold showers feels like
I don’t know why it feels satisfying and also dangerous at the same time if i watched the ship was approached the big waves
Great video guys !! Really captures the storm well
Biscuits
Wow 😯 Looks like fun and scary at the same time
This is the time when some people in heart starts questioning the toughness of the ship's body after seeing its impact
Παμε Ελλαδαρα!Lest go Greece!!
When the ship's front comes down crashing...it's the same feeling like in a roller coaster..only more terrifying and real!
Reasons why I don’t want anything to do with large water mass
Be it travelling , deep sea diving
Just so terrifying
Hey shee
I've been there like that,5 knots is going too fast,in gear outa gear for 2 days...lovely 🤐😱😳

It would be funny if Leonardo Di Caprio was standing at the tip of the ship saying "I am the king of the world" with these type of waves coming towards him.
Finally, I found a video whose thumbnail is not fake
As the old saying goes, "You don't mess with mother nature!" 😎
I'm now addicted to watching ships passing through the North sea
Got sea sick watching it!
ohhhhh.....me tooo..
I remember experiencing waves like that in the Tasman Sea near Australia.
The scary thing is these waves are kinda small & they still throw the ship around like a rag doll
rofl, nice attempt on trolling, these waves are tiny!
Non-breaking waves in the middle of the ocean don't have the obvious peaks to illustrate their size and power, but these waves are massive. Tsunamis don't look like much either until they make landfall.
Just watching the draw of the ocean in front of these waves gives you an idea of how massive they are. I got anxious just watching the last wave appear on the horizon and seeing how much water it was drawing from literally below the boat. That's why the boat is hitting the faces of these waves with so much force! Hence all the water shooting up as the boat faces the larger waves.
They’re like 40-50 feet high. They’re not small waves. In fact they’re not waves at all. They’re huge rollers.
I wish I could be there watching this live 😍

Time moves slowly around the gigantic objects, like the ocean waves and the cruise ship
That was a grand old ship. I travelled on it halfway around the world from Tilbury (UK) to Auckland (New Zealand) in 2018. Wasn't huge like some of the really big cruise liners you see nowadays and the crew got to know you fairly quickly. Captain was Italian, he used to visit the sun deck every afternoon and chat with the passengers. We had a fair bit of up and down on the last lap across the Pacific between Bora Bora and Auckland where we had to change course to go around the edge of a tropical cyclone. Although they weren't big waves there was a 30 foot swell, enough to make the ship go up and down. Sick bags were placed at strategic locations around the vessel, fortunately I'm a good traveller and don't get travel sick.
Shame the company went bust and the ship was scrapped, but they're back in business now under a new name.
BROOOO AMAZING!!!!! Thanks for the upload!

I like my water in a glass, thank you very much
Looks great 👍
I wish all had reached safely to their destinations 💖
I was in a cruise ship when they had terrible unusual weather. The waves were over our windows. I was terrified. I sat up half the nite in one of the lounges above us, watching the cleaners.I thought of the Titanic. My mother and sister wouldn’t leave their beds. Now, this is the sister that won’t drive up a ramp onto the freeway in case she gets hit by a fast car.... In the morning, all the top decks were flooded. No water in any of the pools, spas. Hardly anyone including staff, at breakfast or activities because they had all been sick all night!
Gee whiskers...the screaming alarms say it all...🇿🇦
I was sailing caribbean on Norwegian cruiselines when Katrina hit Florida, and the waves were enormous...
Mmm yes my warm above sea level bed can't possibly make me feel this coldness, huge respect to those sailors
At first I was like “wait are they talking Greek..?” And then I heard them clearly talking Greek and it’s funny because when you hear them talk your native, you can understand that they are shocked and they curse right before a big wave 😜🤣 Great video though, συγχαρητήρια για τη δύσκολη δουλειά που κάνετε

It looks really fun and satisfying
You know a waves big when there's waves on that wave.
I had ruled a line through flying, now the water gets it too. Land locked in Australia it is for me.
No sé cómo no se rompe la proa en pedacitos. Tremendo!!
This looks relaxing
Just wondering, anyone know what the prolonged _BEEEEEP_ noise means exactly?
Its most likely a warning saying that the ships bow is about to either go underwater or is detecting a wave
@@zach4802 Very well could be.
Remember guys the cameraman always survives
Now this can definitely trigger nausea! Feeling the ship tilt down and then splash really hard. Yeah, definitely have a trash can near by!
My heart.!!! Dag dug dag dug.
I've been on one like that, when it lifts out of the water.
seems to me no matter how big your boat is, there is always a wave that is bigger.

And it moved on with them into waves that were like mountains. At that [moment] Noah cried out to a son of his, who had kept himself aloof [from the others]: "O my dear son! [65] Embark with us, and remain not with those who deny the truth!" - 11:42

As impactful as this would be for most cruise ship passengers, there’s certain to be at least one “Kankles” hell bent on making it to that buffet line. Killer waves be dammed!
