First off, great video! Unfortunately, three days after this was published, one of my closest friends died by suicide. The heartbreak and grief is indescribable. I knew he was struggling with depression for years, and his family knew as well. He had a therapist and had taken medication for years, but he still ended his own life. Once a person is getting professional help, and their family knows, and you offer to listen, if there anything more that a friend can do? I feel like I failed my friend, and unfortunately I have other close friends struggling with depression too. I don't want to fail again. Any suggestions?
There is nothing you can do, unfortunately... These people, most often, don't want to talk. Even if they talk, this does not help them. Nothing can help them. You can pray for a friend (if you are e believing person).
thank you remi and ad council for spreading mental health awareness (a topic that MORE people need to talk about).
