When it comes to the calling kids kings and queens thing It all a matter of perspective and how you use the term. In the black community it's used to let people know that they are great and can achieve great things despite what society tells us. You can take a word literal if you want, but it's the context in which you use it and the actions you back it up with that truly gives it its meaning.

The secret is to teach them at a younger age. To lead by example & be their role model, someone they could look up to, go to for advice sort of like a best friend but not like a best friend to let them get away with nonsense. Us Cambodian and Laos call that sauce Kapeak. It’s a little different from what you guys ate but ours is shrimp paste, fish sauce, sugar, chili peppers, shallots, and crushed toasted rice. Shit is fire!!! 🔥🤤

I think the problem is there is no happy medium for some parents. They don’t want to inflict any of the world on their kids but sometimes we need to bump our heads and realize we are only human. You can encourage your kids but also teach them to be good citizens, good hearted people, and good friends. Teach them respect for others and to observe the world around them. Nothing wrong with being real with the children, they need that.
One of the things we aren’t going to do is give our kid a phone too early. He’s ten and he doesn’t have one (when most do) We don’t want his view to be skewed because of social media

to david dont try to finish too much mangoes, u finna shart yourself differently than before LMAO. Tim, I think we have something similar used as a dip for unripe mangoes in the Philippines, there are 2 variants that I am familiar to. its soy sauce and sugar, and then bagoong it is fermented fish or krill or shrimp paste in salt, thats what I am familiar with in my region, so other places may have something more.
Pilipinos, we eat unripe mangoes with bagoong. try it!
