Great discussion and matching make-up! 😁 The blending of genres and settings sounds fascinating! I see the paperback available on Amazon right now but no ebook or audiobook. I put it on my Wishlist!
We had so much fun doing makeup to match the video, it was great! I'm glad you did, I would LOVE to discuss character psychology with you for this series once you start!
I picked up Ninth Rain because of Elle's constant recommendations 😆 I thank her so much for it. This series was perfect!!! I loved the combination of SF and fantasy. Loved your conversation about it. It's definitely one I will re read. Noon was also my favourite character. Thank you guys for this. ❤
I just finished The Poison Song and then immediately came to check out this video because I needed to hear other people talk about all the things I had been feeling when I read it. I loved this series so much and I'm so appreciative to Elle for recommending it. It's definitely a new favorite for me. My favorite characters were Bern and Aldasair, but it's hard for me to even pick out a character I didn't love (or love to hate) because they were all so well-written. Such a great series and I'm so glad that more people are hopefully discovering it because of recommendations and videos like this.
Yay I'm so so so glad to hear more folks have read this! Bern and Aldasair were SO sweet, I was rooting for them since book 1 and Bern's family is the absolute best
Great discussion and all of your make-up is sooo pretty! 🥰 I definitely appreciate the spoilerfree discussion since I only read the first book. The talk about the ending of the series and comparing it to the ending of Mistborn has hyped it up even more for me!
Thank you! We each picked a different color for the makeup :D I'm reading the 3rd of Mistborn this month and I'm so excited. I LOVED Poison Song, it was heart-wrenchingly amazing, such a strong conclusion!
Hest is a reason someone might not like this. Her arch makes no sense and it was boring. I only read the first two books though. Not planning to read the third so here I am for the spoilers. The first was so good, the second book was so disappointing. :(
I didn't love her arc as much either, but I think you have to dig a bit to really understand. I think her ending makes sense though. The third book is AMAZING in my opinion, I really recommend trying it out. One of the best conclusions I've read this year and it's my fav book of the series (Ninth Rain is in second place!)
@@KistiReads I think you are thinking of the Secret of Nimh. I did like that movie as well, but I wasn't allowed to watch it very often because it scared my sister. Secret of Mana is an old video game RPG where Mana comes from a sacred tree and Mana is the basis of life.
@@RKStumblingbear think you are right I am thinking of Secret of Nimh (so good though). oooooh okay I haven't played that one, I was obsessed with Doom and Diablo growing up as far as gaming goes!

Your description is giving my Secret of Mana vibes.
waiiiiiiit - is that the animated cartoon movie with the mice?? It had some dark themes and I LOVED it!
