Doomsday did not indefinitely kill Superman. He did wound him deeply and badly enough that he had to be "dead" for months to come. But he didn't kill him, Superman just slowed his metabolism slow enough to not use too much energy and heal

This was always my favorite Doomsday origin story. Not this movie/series version but the comic it was based off of. Being from Krypton made it make sense as to why he could hurt and kil Superman the way he did.

My favorite style of doomsdays creation not just made that way but tortured and killed adapting to each death making him immune to it and having to find something new to put him down for a short period constantly evolving a persistent never ending threat to Superman and everyone around him. Not sure but I think he even adapted his way out of the phantom zone one time
To be fair most of doomsday origin stories come from this, an experimental being that is destroyed an reconstruted again and again till it is an almost indestructible killing machine

Some people like that must be tossed to survive in a Post-Plutonian world. It is like a whiny kid complaining about the splinter, so, they will only learn when they will get impaled on a branch how pointless their whining about splinters was. I love how most of the comments are just comic fans gushing on the original Doomsday origins and hating on the show’s version of Doomsday being a multiple-time tortured/resurrected Bizarro. While it’s disappointing that the true origins of Doomsday has not been shown fully in animation/live-action, I’ve never really been disappointed in the alternate versions. This one and Zach Snyder’s are probably my favorites. In my opinion, the genetic manipulation of these familiar Superman villains into new versions of Doomsday is just interesting. Sorry, not sorry. While I like the original origins, I also feel it lacks something (perhaps a deeper connection to Superman besides sharing Krypton) to cement itself above the others.
Why does it need a more personal connection to Superman? That's just boring and predictable and makes it look like the universe revolves around him, it's just boring and bland. In fact, when it was revealed in the comics that the planet Doomsday was created on was the prehistoric version of Krypton that kind of made it a little more boring to me. The point of Doomsday when he was first created in the comics was that he was a random menace of a monster from the far reaches of space that was a match for Superman, and more was capable of killing him barehanded through sheer physical strength, and the mystery and lack of ties to Superman at all made it that much more interesting. It brought up questions of where tf he came from, and how did he get so powerful, and why was he on Earth, etc. The mystery of it induced a fear unlike any other in the audience when they put themselves in the shoes of the DC residents who witnessed this all, because it was like "if there's something like this out there that can beat Superman to death, what the hell else is out there? And are they also hostile? And if they come here how are we gonna stop them?".

I think it would be nice to have more quests that incorporate characters from the films 5&6 like Lando. Being able to become the boss of a faction with a major quest would be awesome. Having the ability to bring along a shipmate for quests. More planets to travel to obviously makes for an easy dlc. Also adding more tools and loot spots is an easy addition. Incorporating melee weapons with how intensive the stealth aspect is in this game. A duel arena would be amazing. There is so much potential to expand this game and it could last for years. One of the most disappointing things is beating a game and it becomes so dry. New game+ was a smart idea but adding drastically different outcomes prevents it from becoming monotonous.

I love how most of the comments are just comic fans gushing on the original Doomsday origins and hating on the show’s version of Doomsday being a multiple-time tortured/resurrected Bizarro. While it’s disappointing that the true origins of Doomsday has not been shown fully in animation/live-action, I’ve never really been disappointed in the alternate versions. This one and Zach Snyder’s are probably my favorites. In my opinion, the genetic manipulation of these familiar Superman villains into new versions of Doomsday is just interesting. Sorry, not sorry. While I like the original origins, I also feel it lacks something (perhaps a deeper connection to Superman besides sharing Krypton) to cement itself above the others.
Why does it need a more personal connection to Superman? That's just boring and predictable and makes it look like the universe revolves around him, it's just boring and bland. In fact, when it was revealed in the comics that the planet Doomsday was created on was the prehistoric version of Krypton that kind of made it a little more boring to me. The point of Doomsday when he was first created in the comics was that he was a random menace of a monster from the far reaches of space that was a match for Superman, and more was capable of killing him barehanded through sheer physical strength, and the mystery and lack of ties to Superman at all made it that much more interesting. It brought up questions of where tf he came from, and how did he get so powerful, and why was he on Earth, etc. The mystery of it induced a fear unlike any other in the audience when they put themselves in the shoes of the DC residents who witnessed this all, because it was like "if there's something like this out there that can beat Superman to death, what the hell else is out there? And are they also hostile? And if they come here how are we gonna stop them?".

I think it would be nice to have more quests that incorporate characters from the films 5&6 like Lando. Being able to become the boss of a faction with a major quest would be awesome. Having the ability to bring along a shipmate for quests. More planets to travel to obviously makes for an easy dlc. Also adding more tools and loot spots is an easy addition. Incorporating melee weapons with how intensive the stealth aspect is in this game. A duel arena would be amazing. There is so much potential to expand this game and it could last for years. One of the most disappointing things is beating a game and it becomes so dry. New game+ was a smart idea but adding drastically different outcomes prevents it from becoming monotonous.
