- The Tycho puzzle is a brand new design created and manufactured by Craighill. 8 pieces need to be taken apart and reassembled into a cubicle shape. Made entirely from brass and steel the Tycho is providing an extremely satisfying puzzling experience!

Tycho, Venn, Jack? What's your favorite?
HAI
Jack.
Awesome, I got the Venn and Jack during the Venn kickstarter. Very exciting to see this one so soon! Even more beautiful and complex. :)
Visually, they all look great. I'd put them on their stands and put em all on a shelf. They'd look great as static pieces.
Mr.Puzzle all but I like this one the most it just looks cleaner than the others
Very cool. Looks like magnets would be welcome for final state.
That piece should definetly be magnetic. It'd be just next level satisfying!
I swear your enthusiasm for these puzzles is infectious. That's half the fun of the videos.
Hearing the German accent makes me genuinely happy
The most Satisfying Object Ever - a crumpled up piece of brown paper!!
My cat prefers a cardboard box, but I get your point! :-)
Remove all the wrinkles without an iron. Go!
Lol
Holly Jesus, this is BEAUTIFUL! Look at this design, the edges, how smooth the piece is, and the high quality. The brushing of the metal and the colors, everything is just perfect and it also works as a decorative piece. It's art, seriously. I'm amazed.
(I only wish I had money to get one)
i believe the developer made the decision to not add magnetized fitting, as this adds to the challenge.
A brass and steel sculpture..It truly is a beautiful piece of art.☯️
I wish that it didn't crumble apart so easily. A puzzle should be a mystery to take apart and put back together.
Honestly I thought it was difficult to be taken apart and when he just slid it apart in a second, I was like "well that was disappointing"
It could be because that one is a pre-production piece. Maybe the finished units will have tighter tolerances.
There are different puzzle types. This is a dexterity puzzle more than anything else - despite the need to find out the assembly method.
I'm also not a big fan of dexterity puzzles, but plenty of people love *specifically* how volatile their build is when not completely assembled.
Hopefully they can find a way to make it magnetic
@@kevinvu5432 The puzzle looked cool, but way overrated. I don't really like dexterity puzzle.
I love puzzles like this cause I can watch the video and STILL buy the puzzle cause I don't remember anything about the solution
:D
Well done! I laughed when it fell apart in your hands, but not maliciously... only because I know I would’ve been highly frustrated. 😆 You handled it well.
Stop watching for a year, now your intro is so upbeat. Mean, you've opened up a lot. I love it!
As a puzzle this one seems to be a bit too easy--I even noticed the curved vs. straight arms on your first attempt to put two halves together (which I don't think I've done before--I'm not usually so observant!) But the build quality and materials are outstanding. This being a pre-production model and looking as good as it does--the final release versions will be STUNNING, I'm sure.
Also, a thought for those who are concerned that it falls apart too easily from the starting cube condition: based on their other puzzles, I suspect the final version may have much tighter tolerances and may hold together far better through friction alone. I'd love to see Mr. Puzzle give us a quick update review when he (inevitably I think!) gets his hands on the final version!
They should use magnets to keep the pieces together.
not a good idea, risky
@@jome8059 how so?
stainless can be magnetic actually.
That wpuld give away the answer
I love how pretty these Craighill puzzles are.
Absolutely!
Lol, it was so cute how hyped Mr. Puzzle sounded in the intro. Dude's probably this buff bearded Germanic man who milks beer out of hops with his bare hands, but then he sounded like Dora the Explorer for a brief second. I truly love this channel. I now spend like 80 bucks a month in wooden puzzles to add to my coffee table's rotation. Thanks, Mr. Puzzle! 🤗
Great feedback.
p.s.: I don't milk anything
Mr.Puzzle anything??
I tried to solve the giraffe puzzle and after 52,000 years I still haven't solved it.. but I do know the answer to life.
42?
@@ypleuh1068 No... the true answer to life, is... The Giraffe puzzle is only the 2nd hardest puzzle.... the first hardest is how the mind of the woman work.
@@adorbstotesadorbs.9371 I'm affraid this first one has no solution.
@@ypleuh1068 :I ik T_T
There should be a magnet holding it together when assembled
ha.. hat off to you, I just concluded the same 👍
Agreed. The puzzle is just too flimzy and loose.
Agreed but it won’t work on brass or some stainless steel so would need a lot more machining of pockets to glue magnets in.
@@thechumpsbeendumped.7797 no.. it shouldn't be several magnets glued in, in that case you'll have to deal with polarity and that would be a giveaway to solve the puzzle.
just ONE magnet just enough strength to hold SOME pieces nevermind the brass.. and then build the cube around it.
No, the puzzle should be held together mechanically, not magnetically.
Your so funny. Watching you do this puzzle was hilarious. In the nicest way possible. Almost got it and it all came apart again. What a neat looking trick!
The kickstarter clips seem to show it holding together much better. If it falls apart as easily as in this video I wouldn't want it. While symmetry is nice, this also isn't much of a puzzle, seems more a dexterity challenge.
Your excitement is contagious! Great video!
Many of these puzzles the real challenge is your own dexterity. Beautiful puzzle.
Your enthusiasm and delight is so charming, especially showing us such cool and beautiful puzzles. My favourite was the "Hä?" upon finding the two halves would not slide neatly together. Wirklich süß~
Hi, I ordered the Tycho. You're well appreciated at Craighill! I have not failed to reference you
Thanks, you will love it! 😎
It looks so good! That thing is designed to be showed off. It reminds me of something that would be on an executive's desk. 😎 I love puzzles that look nice while solved. It makes the feeling even better.
3:34 actual disassembly (for the impatient viewers)
Mola Diver thank you 😭🥰🥴❤️
I'm challenging everyone in the world to make a puzzle that Mr. Puzzle can't solve.
You've never heard of the legendary Giraffe Puzzle?
@@Dargonhuman 😆
a 4x4 rubiks cube he surely wouldn't solve without help. Really it is not difficult to make a very difficult puzzle. Most puzzle designers go for a balance or at least a logical progression. Otherwise you might as well make a box that just gets you to guess a ten letter long password. Hard sure, but not very satisfying.
@@GigsVT Mr.Puzzle has stated in the past that he's not very good at "twisty" puzzles like Rubik's Cubes and that he much prefers logical progression and dexterity puzzles.
Im still waiting for his blue metal puzzle he covered a while back. He himself said that it would take him quit alot of time to finish it if he even finishes it. I would say that is one close to the one he can't solve. At least as long as he doesnt post his solution to it
Thank you Mr Puzzlevfor a beautifully crafted piece of art.
Total crazy ! How to manufacture these parts ?
Manufacturing itself is a puzzle !
A must have !
Great show !
They were CNC machined most probably.
he's genuinly having fun with it haha I love it!
I think adding a little magnet (with a weak pull) inside the structure, while assembling it, would help in keeping the pieces together, after you solve the puzzle
I admire your patience! Great channel!
Matthew
Nice man! Thank you!!!
the most satisfying thing is when you say " HI " at the starting of the vedio!
I feel some magnetism to the steel will help the final ‘display’ of the Tycho or is finger dexterity part of the puzzle?
Cheers

edits was crazy good on this video ♥️keep your the good work!!
Thanks!
The cenobites really have got the hang of precision engineering.
They should add magnets to the design to hold it together nicely once you've put it back together
That looks gorgeous
Unbox a bag? That's puzzling.
Im here for the white gloves !
Very pretty!
What a nice puzzle. To bad i cant watch this video yet as i ordered this one :)
Best packaging ever.
Pretty piece!
It deserves a great box for it to be presented in
It will gave I guess
That is a beautiful puzzle.
Will be adding this to the collection. Hopefully I can get it back together, unlike the Jack which for me is a nice collection of brass rods (doh)
Beautiful
7:50 da kamm der Deutsche zum Vorschein 😂😂
This looks like Loki's Rubik's cube. Gold, silver, and full of trouble.
I was going to comment something same about loki but your comment would be better than what i was thinking. Well done
@@NiceEyeballs No. No. Now you have to say what you were thinking. Don't pep it up. Just put in your original thought
@@michaelpipkin9942 my thought was just basic, your content has
have lot more information. So nevermind and have a nice day
@@NiceEyeballs ok. Just curious, ya know.
"Not going to be the most difficult puzzle I have solved this year."
Me: I really hope those two halves don't just fit nicely together. Yay!
Fantastic 😻
3:36 He gets on with it
Oh god. If it's from that company I know I can't afford it.
Thanks Mr. Puzzle i needed this video after a long day of driving 637 miles its a nice video to relax to before bed
Great puzzle and nice video😁👍
That made me laugh a lot! Thanks 😁
looks like the impossible dovetail joint in carpentry, now time to watch and learn
You've not heard of Tycho Brahe, the famous Danish astronomer who lost his nose in a duel?. He lived in the 16th c.
The puzzle is named after him.
Let them know if the put magnets in it would be more fun
That is a good lookin puzzle!!
I would be tempted to drill small round slots into some of the inner facing surfaces so as to insert some small iridinium magnets so the whole thing clicks together better
With magnets, it might be to easy to solve unless the magnets are strong enough to hold the finished product together but at the same time too weak, to have the parts stick to each other whilst assembling
Love your vids mate
Thanks!
AYE I FOLLOW CRAIGHILL, Found them for their knives, but recently saw they did some puzzles, super cool you guys are into them
There you go,my favourite German lol!!! Thxx for another great video!
For Halloween, you should do a video of the Hellraiser puzzle box. For laughs.
Great Video :)
It needs magnets to keep it together if you are going to use it to put stuff in it.
I love the combination of dissimilar metals , unique looking ....
Did they make a version of this beautiful puzzle out of silver and gold? Would be a fun investment.
I did enjoy (in a friendly way) the manner of your super puzzler confidence come crashing down! Super video my friend with a sprinkling of humour over great problem solving!

Thanks!
One thing about puzzles of this type is how you can take just one, or in this case, two different pieces and use multiples of each to create these intricate shapes.
Your previous puzzle, made of wood had three identical parts, and they combined to make three cubes.
This mimics how nature uses basic shapes to create pretty much everything --- cystallography.
Fun puzzle, thanks Mr. P. : )
great video Dr. Puzzle
Thanks Hulk!
Nice puzzle and most definitely not as easy as it looked considering there were 2 ways to assemble the 'halves' of the puzzle where there were inward curving points and inward flat points that allowed for the final assembly of the puzzle.
I checked the published date to make sure it's not April's fools cuz i thought the paper was the puzzle.
I got this today, came here to see if there was any tips on solving🤗
This is cool!
Best application ever for a wedding ring.
:D
Love the 🧤
Some hidden magnets could sure help to keep the integrity of the assembled puzzle.
Maybe instead of using both open ends to bind it together, you could try using one open and one closed end to help it stay together better. When you had it combined at the end it looked much more unstable than when you first showed it.
That does work; I put mine together like that, and now, I can't really get it apart. It locks in quite well.
Reminds me of an origami ornament I tried to make. Some do the same goofy tucking in thing. Was going by a book I had at the time.
I think it would be even more satisfying if the pieces do not exactly fit but have some very slight over so that they hold the puzzle firmly together when solved.
That pitfalls of symmetric design (2:20). Putting 4 pieces together like that always creates a swastika with the seams.

very nicely made
I suggest they consider magnetizing this puzzle so it doesn't keep falling apart.
Hey, Congrats on 700k..
Thanks!
Definitely satisfying but difficult, I don't think so. Thanks for sharing!
Cool Puzzle

Hey Mr. Puzzle can we get a B-Roll with the disassembled puzzles after the solution?
Love it dad, easy (for you) but it's really nice.
Glad to hear that! :D
Every your video is satisfying for me. Especially when you can solve the puzzle.
So this one will be satisfying for you! :)
Maybe they could add internal magnets such that the puzzle could only be solved if opposite poles were juxtaposed?
Beautiful but shold be magnetic for perfection!!
