    one of the many reasons young people are not going into farming is having to put with the TB testing scandal that is going on for the last 70 years and to think it is no better than the day they started

    There's always the threat that if the son /daughters relationship to their spouse breaks down then farm will be broken up sold
    They came with nothing and left with half .. very hard to watch something you've nurtured worked on day and night to be broken up

    I am 46 years old my dad is 92 he will not let go the farm he gets all the money and I am farming it I have All the bills some job this (((((there should be no state pension for people like him 68 years old you still farm no pension then you would have young people farming

    No good in talking about what was there two caps ago,we now have the worst minister for Agriculture we ever had , must remember he was only Third choice for the job,It was a discrace what was done to Barry Cowen .

    Stop pandering to Fianna Fail and Fine Gael, (Sinn Fein no better) IFA , ICSA and ICMSA,are full of political touts for the establishment parties.

      Irish farm organisations had a chance to form a new political party like their counterparts in Holland but wimped out.
      Plenty of their people have made speeches to farmers outside Dail Eireann and then stood for election successfully for either FF/FG.
      Irish farmers are a very soft touch.

      There is no party worth voting for which is why a new one from urban and rural people is needed. A few individuals like Tony Gregory, Jackie Healey Rae and his sons have been the hinge of power re Ff in power and got a shake extra for their areas. Irish people very naive with their complaints followed by automatic voting patterns. Irish people dont want the responsibility of government.
      A severe reduction in the number of TDs is required .

    Hey, sorry for not getting back to you sooner. this is a nun political channel, just because I interviewed the minister or anybody in politics are in the firm in only stations is not pandering to them. We need to hear what they are saying they are the people that sets the policies for eight acculture.
