WOW !! This is an unbelievable find. Ra was still hot and at his best in the late seventies. His chords are just so full of surprises and his attack is so unique. It's a brand new funk. Just listen to that keyboard take off on its own.
And from around 7:00 on, almost unbelievably beautiful melody and intensely spiritual. What more could you ask of cosmo aliens dancing at a disco ini the year 3000? Deeply grateful to you Saturn and Jupiter too for giving us Sun Ra.

Rocket nine to take off to Venus is another great piece. May be some of you with more records know another one who can rival with this and show me the way to listen it.

as ra and many other great musicians have said, a child could play this, but can a child write it? could a child read this and play it from the sheet? when you see the notes, and understand it, and acknowledge there is _intention_ in these sounds, you might become aware. As the great john gilmore said, "my gosh, this man is more stretched out than Monk. his knowledge of intervals and harmony are very, highly advanced"
