  • In this video, I show you a guitar that I have for sale and that I believe is truly a great-sounding instrument. This is an Eastman AR910CE, which is Eastman's top-of-the-line model. It has a floating pickup that sounds super warm and jazzy. This archtop definitely has "the sound." I want to know what you think about the guitar. Leave me a comment, and thanks for watching!

His education includes years of college and private instruction with a variety of teachers, including Mitch Holder, Ted Greene, Joe Pass, and Charlie Shoemake, to name a few. He feels education is a continuing process. There's always more to learn. Wes Montgomery, Joe Pass, Howard Roberts, Ted Greene, and Larry Carleton have all influenced his playing.
Rich wrote three books for a major publisher, Dale Zdenek/ Belwin Mills/Columbia, providing him the opportunity to work with other great artists/authors like Tommy Tedesco, Joe Diorio, and Ted Greene. After teaching at GIT/Musicians Institute, in Hollywood, CA, for three years, he developed and published his own home study guitar school-type curriculum available on his website www.GuitarCollegeLibrary.com which has helped over ten thousand students improve their playing.
Rich has won honorable mentions and awards in songwriting and served as president of the Ventura County Producers and Songwriters Guild. Touring for three years with "Dick Clark's Good Old Rock and Roll Show," he had the opportunity to perform with Bo Diddley, Chuck Berry, Little Anthony, and many other great, old-time rock and rollers.
After moving his family to the Yosemite/Fresno area, he taught guitar and directed the jazz band at Fresno Pacific University for two years. Being a well-rounded player, Rich is comfortable playing a variety of styles, including jazz (his favorite), blues, rock, fusion, country, and solo fingerstyle. He performs at local venues in a number of different scenarios, as a solo guitarist, with his jazz trio or quartet or smooth jazz quintet. At home in his studio, he is continually producing new lessons for CZcams and www.GuitarCollegeLibrary.com.
The years of experience and knowledge he can share with you will
help you be the player you always dreamed you'd be.

Hello Rich great playing as usual. Your arrangements are
Excellent l own an L5, custom shop artist guitar. It is amazing I recently purchased, the Eastman, AR 910 CE blonde. Loller floating pick up with the tone control. The guitar is absolutely phenomenal. It makes you never want to put it down.
There are not many of them out there and the price is definitely not going down. It seems to me like they’re not making that model anymore. I can’t say enough good things about that guitar. You just have to play one to realize. It resonates if you put your belly against the back of the guitar change the tone.
For those who haven’t played one I highly recommend this guitar. I almost want to buy two of them, but that would make not make sense. Lol. I also have the AR 880 John Paisano model. I’m crazy about that guitar to. I could buy any guitar I just don’t see a guitar really being better. I’ve been playing guitar for 50 years. The volume and tone pot could be more linear. Other than that 👍. Just my two. Cents.

I recently get an ancient version of the 810ce, with floating pickup, and it's a marvelous guitar! Same feeling as you described!
By the way, what is the pickup on the 910 model Rich is playing? Sound absolutely warm and amazing !

The dried out fretboard is something that I see commonly at the Guitar's in Guitar Center. I bought one recently which they gave me a discount because it had that issue. I put the guitar in a nice case with several damp cloth and paper towels and I watched it every day for a week and that problem went away entirely the problem went away entirely. Typos by iPhone

I test drove one of those at a place in Seattle that specializes in Django R style music. It sure had a warm sound to it, softer than an old Gibson archtop. I ended up getting a '39 Gibson L-50 from an online archtop business also based in Seattle.
Thanks for the video. You make any guitar sound great.

Nice to see. It is much like what I have in mind for my L4 build. The maple binding is especially interesting and so is the pickup.

Lovely machine and lovely arrangement. I let go of my blonde AR910CE last year only because I found myself reaching for my Golden Eagle most of the time. I found the original (2011) Kent Armstrong/Eastman pup was thin sounding, so I replaced it with a KA 12 pole floater and loved the tone. They really shimmer on the high end.

Great sounding guitar! Do you know what year the guitar is?

I wish you could hear the bass better. Maybe you could compensate by increasing the bass on the amp? And on the other hand I think that a humbucker standard size indwelling would be better for its electric sound.

I have had a few Eastman guitars and that’s one of my biggest gripes with the company is that the bridges are way too high even when it’s lowered to it’s lowest point. I ended up buying a resomax bridge for mine and $50 dollars later the problem was solved. I also noticed with the resomax bridge the top opens the sound up more …Just curious did you have to sand the base of the bridge for the action on your guitar to be playable?
