In the face of relentless climate change, the agrarian communities of Jharkhand endure unpredictable dry spells, scarce rainfall, and scorching temperatures, making livelihoods unstable and a constant challenge.
Amidst these testing conditions, the Tata Steel Foundation's Watershed project, in collaboration with NABARD and HDFC looks to pave a path for a better tomorrow.
The film showcased here delves into some heartfelt conversations with community members from across the villages- unveiling stories that are often overlooked and voices seldom heard. As of December 2023, over 10,000 farmers were enabled through the project to adopt and watersheds in their proximate areas thereby breathing life into approximately 14,000 hectares of land that was once plagued by water scarcity.
In summation, the film is a depiction of a narrative of change that is not about statistics but about empowering communities, and igniting a spark of optimism in the hearts of those who tirelessly toil the land.
