BMW Engine is amazing
These are definitely the sweet spot in the range. Comfort, speed, drama. The pure M's can only be M's which is only okay if you have multiple cars. But if you only have one, the M40i is the best.
B58 is a masterpiece👌

Own a 2023 one and man, it is so good. Drove it on Sport Plus and the burbles really came. Everyone must switch of fake sound as well. You hear the B58 so much better and it is loud when you want it to be but quiet when you drive it normally. Not an M5 sound but a pure Inline 6 sound is better for this car. Just realised we have the LCI model which looks slightly different on the bumper and the inside. Start stop button has moved as well. In general it looks better but is it a better place? New gear shifter as well and it sounds the same. These cars will live for ever!
Finally, a reviewer who drives the way we want. My question all along has been: "will it oversteer?" Now I know, and now I want one. Thank you.

I agree with you - this is the best balanced model in the X range for daily driving. I also like the exterior & interior color combination. 21" alloy wheels? Wow, kudos to BMW for managing to deliver a comfortable ride with such low profile tires.
35 front for 245 and 30 rear for 275 / 21 inches wheels , 30 inches total , i stack two of my wheels , and it's the size of my wife .

This is a really nice car. Don’t have a chance to test drive the 40i, but test drive a 30i, it handles so much better than the x3. Yes you lose out on some storage, but what you get is a much better handling car. I think is well worth it unless you don’t care about handling. But if that’s the case to you, maybe bmw is not for you.
Have you compared the back seats? he head high compared to X3 was a downside for me.
Also, you are comparing X3 M40i vs X4 M30i? when I tried 2019 model, both car felt the same, except 30i was softer...
is this car single turbo or twin turbo
i despise those gauges! there's no option to use different style gauges right? i think it's a deal breaker for me ...

mine X3 is 382hp in Canada, 0-100 in 4.3 tested!
Yes I'm in US and 2020 models upgraded to 382HP. My x3 does 4.3 0-60 on all season tires (michelin ps3). I think we could get 4.2 on summer performance tires
Yeah. I see a lot of things published (including from BMW itself) with the old engine specs. X4 m40i 2020 currently has b58du engine with 388hp. Saw another video on youtube where a guy recorded 4.1 seconds.
the 360/370 are underrated , it's a way more that that in real .

What do you think is better the x4 m40d or m40i
G02 40i with 388hp (real ~ 395 hp) 4,5 to 100/17,8 to 200. 40d with 326 hp (real ~ 360 hp) 4,7 to 100/19,2 to 200. Average fuel reserve 40i - 480km, 40d - 830km. My choice for every day is 40d with ST1, 16,8 to 200 and big fuel reserve.

Trying to decide which one to buy M340i or X40i.....I need to to make a quick decision 🤔
We had the X4 M40i for 6 months and now the M340 I and the engines are nearly same to drive but the x4 is much more big and not as good to handle.... this car is way to big and it’s not direct you feel nothing on the road If that sounds imaginable
