Three words. The Big Push. Ren’s busking band back in Brighton. I have not found one thing that Ren or his band has done that I don’t love. Their version of I shot the sheriff/road to Zion/hip hop is something magical to behold. Wade in the water is also a must watch. It’s just so incredibly mind boggling the amount of talent that he has.

New sub here, before Ren never listened to a single reaction or spent that much time on social media, youtube especially. I'm so hooked, it feels over the top at the moment, but it's a great feeling to find someone who resonates so deeply, makes you think, is talented and inspiring - it's just doesn't really happen that much, so I'm letting myself fall into the Ren wormhole for now. Some of his early songs that are not in video form, but are so worth it! such as Hold ON, Ocean, Love Music pt, 1, 2, 3 are just delicious! Power, Life is Funny and Everybody drops are great and of course Money Game pt 1 and 2. Just keep reacting and those of us that can't get enough of Ren, will just keep watching. The message is spreading and taking root deep in the collective subconscious.
"Teach over beats" is my favorite line in his catalog. That's exactly what Ren is doing with his art; teaching.
You don't have to pay real close attention to see what his overall message is. Capitalism kills.
Ren wouldn't need all these donations if we lived in a better society that didn't force everyone to be so greedy. There are millions of people going through what Ren is going through that are not getting the help they need because capitalist society doesn't value them unless they are uber talented. Ren is only getting the treatment he needs because of his talent. This is a source of anxiety for him as well because he feels survivor guilt. He wants to help everyone that is going through hard times and he knows that is not possible under capitalism.
Ren is trying to help society move past capitalism through his art. What a special boon to the world he is.

Ren is in the very unfortunate situation of having contracted a disease for which there is no cure unless the disease is caught in its’ very early stages.
The problem being many people don’t ever know that they’ve been bitten by a tick ( especially if it’s an immature one) and many people who become infected , don’t manifest symptoms for years or even decades. Some seem to have a natural immunity and even if infected don’t develop illness.
