Shouldn't you give the credit to Portishead for actually writing Glory Box - you seem to be pushing this as your song unless someone points it out that it's actually Portishead...

This is one of very few tracks on my channel that is built on someone else's song, so maybe I could have done better in terms of clarifying that. I was working under the assumption that for anyone who knows the band - or checks out the band - it's very VERY obvious this is Glory Box

Thank you!!!! I could jam to this for hours. It's Portishead meets "Twin Peaks Fire walk with me"... and the song "The Pink Room". Takes me back 20 years ago and going to a strip club in the middle of the woods, off a dark side road beyond the highway. It was winter, snowy, and cold, with the glow of the neon sign outside the small rustic club. The moment the dancer came on and picked Portishead for her song I knew she was the one that was going to move me.....and she did move so dark, passionately and slow.

Love the long, laid back trip hop feel. Awesome to play on. God, I remember buying Jamey Aebersold play-along books for this shit, the future is now. GREAT for Sun Ra harmonic experiments!! Get a really off sounding scale that connects barely to the structure going on, but makes sense with the backing. Use the distant scale for a improvised melody/theme.... then shred 16th note triplets and some 32nd note runs during the space. This is a great track for organizing outside harmony while still creating a theme.
