Best jam tracks on the net sir!
interesting points ,if anyone else is searching for blues jam tracks try Sarparder Blues Jam Starter (just google it ) ? Ive heard some decent things about it and my colleague got cool results with it.
@@rezzzo76 100 percent. I can play to this all day. Now If I could only sound nearly as good as Quist.
Shouldn't you give the credit to Portishead for actually writing Glory Box - you seem to be pushing this as your song unless someone points it out that it's actually Portishead...
@@hhpp6911 Portishead has been credited at the start of the video description since day 1. This is one of very few tracks on my channel that is built on someone else's song, so maybe I could have done better in terms of clarifying that. I was working under the assumption that for anyone who knows the band - or checks out the band - it's very VERY obvious this is Glory Box
i'm so tired of playing, playing with my bow and arrow...
GIVE ME A REASON TO LOVE YOUUUUU
Yesssssss đ€
Hahaha, yeah, i always sing Glory Box lyrics while playing this.
Always was a Portishead, Tricky fan. Maybe I'll Massively Attack this for an hour.
This is the Pun Police, and you've been busted for your busted-ass punary!
@@JeighNeither Lol. It was pretty lame.
Just spent a very enjoyable hour improvising to this on my fretless bass. This track is so good, the lead is optional! Thanks!
+Carlos Grau that's awesome!!
feeding it into my system ...will be doing the same...by chance did you record any of your bass?
mil gracias maestro
Fun isn't it?
lately, i fell asleep amongst the flower, for a couple of hours, what a beautiful day.
Awesome... I love jamming to Glory Box by Portishead, so I'm really digging this! Thank you!!
Coool!! Yes, Glory Box is such a dang masterpiece.. And just makes you want to get creative...
This is my new favorite track to jam to, thanks for uploading!
Awesome - have fun!
I love Portishead! Nice job
Just amazing. I can improvise hours on my acoustic guitar with it... If I had other instruments could alternate forever
i think that was the best backing track ive found, realy makes a nice change to all the blues and boogie shuffle stuff
"Still my guitar..." Great track. I could play bass over it forever
Great job. Again. Quist! Thoroughly enjoy your backing track contributions. Thank you again for sharing!
I had this on and played the solo to bold as love. It hits DIFFERENT
Cheers for this! I've been playing guitar since '86 and loved the whole Trip Hop scene of the 90s but have rarely jammed over something like this, it's splendid! Thank you! Great fun to combine natural minor with blues here, play some soulful lines the combine with golden shred marmalade.
Golden Shred Marmalade...groovy band name.
This is great! Something fun to play with on guitar with my singer. Thanks a bunch! We enjoyed!
Thanks man, been months since I've picked up my guitar seriously, and this brought out the inspiration. I love how you kill everything and have just the drum.
so fun playing over this. love it
Thanks! I love your backtracks!
Thx bro! Awesome backing track!
By far my favourite so far...
I really have to thank you!
Quist! you are great dude! all of this tracks that are really a useful tool for all. Really well made and a great background ambient music too. Thanks!
Damn that was fun to jam to. Lots of gain, echo, and reverb with a good dose of tremolo and I almost couldn't sound bad.
made it to 4:50 before breaking my high e
c9chord haha.. ouch
Awww my man, I'm sorry
Thank you!!!! I could jam to this for hours. It's Portishead meets "Twin Peaks Fire walk with me"... and the song "The Pink Room". Takes me back 20 years ago and going to a strip club in the middle of the woods, off a dark side road beyond the highway. It was winter, snowy, and cold, with the glow of the neon sign outside the small rustic club. The moment the dancer came on and picked Portishead for her song I knew she was the one that was going to move me.....and she did move so dark, passionately and slow.
Funkadelic "I'll Stay" ...You nailed this to the wall!!!
Holy Cow JQ, You're Trippin the Light Fantastic. Thanks
Oh man this is a great track! My new go-to for an unwind backing track after a long day of work. Thanks, man!
Love the long, laid back trip hop feel. Awesome to play on. God, I remember buying Jamey Aebersold play-along books for this shit, the future is now. I have been trying to improve my bass (main inst.), guitar and trumpet playing, this is so much fun to play on, so easy to not sound shit. Cool beanz dude!
Amazing work! I love this track! I improvise everyday!
So cool! Trippy for sure.. Thanks for sharing!!
this my favorite so far. i love portishead
This is absolutely incredible and deserves so much credit đ

Yo this backing track changed my life. I don't know how but please never take it down
I absolutely love this, 20 years before it was a 90's thing, it was a 70's thing, either way, it's an awesome thing.

Awesome groovy track like always Quist!
kaljan :) :)
Sick backing track my man, keep em coming. Preesh.
@Quist everything is so cleanly mixed. properly phrased. as well as super inspiring for me as a musician and dj. thanks ;)
I almost got my words to this just hearing it the first time. Sweet beat!
Very tasty guitar work, great to jam to. Excellent production - cool parts in all the right places. Not overly distorted tones mixed with clean tones. Subtle use of effects. Well done, sir!
What a great backing track. I was unable to play guitar for a while due to a broken wrist in a motorcycle accident and searching for random stuff to improvise over. Really fun track to jam too, the intro solo is nice as well.
This is like a slower version of i'll stay, by funkadelic. Love it!
SIMPLY AMAZING đ„
I would love to see a longer intro or even a full playthrough. It was smooth as f
Outstanding! Many thanks for this great post, it is a true joy to jam along to.

Great jam track! Iam learning but this track is perfect for pentatonic skills. I feel like i can playđ
Super fly. Thank you đ
Cool Portishead melody! Thanks for the upload.
Happy jamming !!
isent that a 90 band? i really dont think they got here early enought to claim anything att all
, except for beeing a really good bunch of preformers
@@TheMrmudminister They were a trip hop experimental group. The song this was taken from is called Glory Box.
Great track - thanks for making this!!!!
My absolute favorite of all-time track, it's so wide open and uniquely emotional .. . TU ;)
bro this reminds me of Portishead & "Teardrop"....this is the BEST jam track. THANK YOU! Love the slide guitar in there man!
Uh, it really sounds nothing like Teardrop, but it's basically note for note "Glory Box", by Portishead, and some old blues guy.
@@JeighNeither Uhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh, actually, to me, it sounds just like "Teardrop". I am entitled to my opinion, just like you are. I don't think it sounds anything like "Glory Box". Jesus Christ...go bother someone else. Byeeeeee.
@@hunterreed1010 Teardrop was by Massive attack. And I'm plus one-ing on this being basically a Glory box backing track. I think you might have your songs (and artists) confused. (Love it by the way Quist - thx)
GREAT for Sun Ra harmonic experiments!! Get a really off sounding scale that connects barely to the structure going on, but makes sense with the backing. Use the distant scale for a improvised melody/theme.... then shred 16th note triplets and some 32nd note runs during the space. This is a great track for organizing outside harmony while still creating a theme.
Dude this is so sick thank you!
Very fun track to play to.
sweet track to jam with, keep it up!
Killer track man!
Classic blues riffs
this is so good.
chill mood ! looovinnggg !!!!!!!!!!!
Amazing... thanks for uploading. Dummy is still the best triphop album.
thanks... yes, I think I agree
Wow! Great track for jam! I must try it with my band! Nice job Bro ;)

This immediately makes me think of Portishead "Glory Box". Love it!
Or my funny Valintine...
