can we all stop to consider how many moments it took to transcribe this for an orchestra, make it sound this incredible, and not to mention the time needed to perform, practice, rehearse, and record this monstrosity of musical mayhem and magnificence? Wow. Floored. Well done.

Glad I pulled it off, you never know after listening to your own shit around 200 times...
Phish's segues are one of my favorite things they do, I couldn't help including one of my own!

This sounds really awesome! What notation software/DAW/sample libraries are you using? Would definitely be curious to hear more!
I find often that the arrangers for Trey's orchestra tour material dont quite capture the spirit of the original works. In a lot of ways, I think you more authentically recreate the specific details of the source material, with textures that more closely align to how the Phish instrumentation actually plays it.
6:22 the winds would have such a tough time making this happen lol but it sounds sick. Id want to see the score for how you really have it happening. Check out Stravinsky Petrushka for some ridiculously awesome wind parts (and insane solutions to make stuff like this happen). Fishmans ride cymbal is such a critical piece of this entire section and would help the ensemble stay together. A reliable subdivision from a cymbal bell could make all the difference, plus it would be really fun to play. Dark world theme comes in like a boss, but at 8:22 i would expect huge percussion here! Fishman is again so prominent in this passage and there could be amazing snare and concert tom fills and big bright cymbals. Across the board i would love to hear more use of Fishmans supremely expressive playing throughout the piece.
Scent of a Mule theme was honestly a really amazingly cool moment and i love how long it unfolded while still in the "check it out" section. Awesome way to open this up into new music. The cymbals here are awesome and the sudden drop into lyrics was strong and felt really satisfying and surprising after being distracted momentarily by Mule.
These are all just my immediate takeaways and this is an obviously huge amount of work and you have done an amazing job. Looking forward to more.

Thanks for the careful listen, I appreciate it!
This was made in Reaper using Spitfire's BBC Symphony Orchestra.
The section at 6:22 should be playable. This is arranged for a 2/2/2/2 woodwind section, and typically each instrument is doubled or played in octaves, but The Chase is sort of a concerto with the 1st violin and 1st oboe playing solo. In the half-time section at 6:22 the 1st oboe is still playing the melody legato, the 2nd oboe is playing staccato notes, and the bassoons are playing the melody staccato in octaves and separated by a 16th note, so it sounds like a single bassoon is bouncing up and down an octave incredibly fast when in fact it's just two playing at a leisurely pace. I think one clarinet is doubling the lead oboe, while the other clarinet is doing a dab with the flutes or something. The soft xylophone adds to the effect.
You're right on the section at 8:22, some more percussion would definitely have been nice! Percussion is definitely a weak area for me, I am scared of anything that isn't sharp xylophone or timpani in a supportive role :) Outside of the cymbal and piatti I don't think I used any unpitched percussion, but my next Phish project definitely has lots.
Glad the insertion of Mule worked how I hoped it would... smooth into it, then a hard drop back into Fluff where you remember what this is supposed to be.
