- ►This week on the BMW F30 340i Drift Taxi build, follow Michael Essa and his team as they transform a stock 340i into a fire-breathing drift machine. The journey begins with getting the drivetrain into the car and sending the chassis off for paint with all the fabrication complete. The engine, featuring a modified N54 intake manifold, a new exhaust camshaft, Supertech valvetrain, and some intake porting, is brought over to Papadakis Racing for power modifications. With everything in place, the engine and drivetrain are finally installed.
As the build progresses, the team works tirelessly to get the Drift Taxi buttoned up and tuned on the dyno, racing against the clock to be ready for Gridlife Midwest. The first firing of the B58 engine brings more concerns than joy, as oil smoke billows from the titanium hood dump. The team faces confusion and setbacks, but they push through to ensure the car is ready for its debut.
In the final stages, the build is completed just in time for Gridlife Midwest. After a grueling 30-hour trip to Gingerman Raceway, the BMW F30 340i Drift Taxi takes to the track, delivering sideways, smoky rides to excited fans. Witness the culmination of weeks of hard work and determination as the Drift Taxi shreds its way to victory in this all-encompassing compilation episode.

Very enjoyable. That was some real dedication. My old ass would have thrown the towel in nowadays. You still pushed on like we did 20 years ago . Fairplay! 😎
Always good to have an event deadline looming haha!
It's a good watch when you can see Mike and Tim working. He's pretty much the best part of DDE and it's always good to see the champ sliding!
Essa is a Legend - and you simply cant go wrong with our boy Tim
Yeah! Finally comes part two!
Thank you for doing this stuff Mike after watching a video I couldn’t stop working on my car. I got a 90 I was ripping the radiators off like a gorilla.

Gezz I can't believe the amount of work that goes into building a drift car.. it's like almost a full quarter mile drag car.. sort of u know what I mean guys..
No shortage of work - especially when trying to build a car at this level!
Nice to see where a few $100,000 of us all overpaying for parts goes.
Startn to look like a race car 🤘
Sure is 😁

Why deleating the direct injection going to port injection instead?
injector option in direct injection still not much
