this song makes me so frickin sad
it was 2015 and my sister was hospitalized for a kidney disease without a cure, which causes random kidney failure. my dad was trying to see her for what could've been the last moments of her life (her kidneys were only working at about 4%) on the night of my very last daddy-daughter dance before junior high.
during this song, when everyone was slowdancing happily with their dads, i had a mental breakdown and was sobbing in the bathroom.
all the mean girls that hated me banded together and gave me love and listened and made me feel better.
my sister remained in the hospital for a long time.
she lived.
