Thanks a lot, Freya! I would be extremely happy if you go through Shubert's "Die liebe Farbe" (from "Die schöne Müllerin"). Although it's a tenor aria, it's comfortable for me to sing it in the original key (low contralto here). I'm really struggling with the "ü" sound, and with "g" in the beginning of the word.
Another suggestion - Mahler's "Ich bin der Welt abhanden gekommen", it is so beautiful.
And whichever song you choose next time, can you please include a link to a performance you really love? The one that is good both in terms of vocal technique AND pronunciation. It's often difficult for me to find a singer that I can rely on in terms of pronunciation. Most are not native speakers, and everyone pronounces the same sounds differently.
