A recent often heard application in Covid times is that of “Contact tracing” What does it really mean..it means when a patient is found, they try to find all people who came in contact with the patient to figure out if they are covid infected...
This is a classic example of network analysis. in network analysis any problem where there are nodes and there are connections between the nodes we can apply this analysis. several examples occur across the real world like friends, or in the virtual world, it is quite often to think of social network based connections like in Facebook or LinkedIn..In all such examples, there are several analysis problems that can be framed..for example, finding influencers in a social network or finding how many people have been affected by repeated contact tracing of a patient. etc. In such cases most often the analysis is of finding a centrality pattern…for example the finding of influencers in social networks is a classic example of such network analysis...
