- Enjoy a special view from the airport control tower as Captain Sam "RaZZ" Larson flies his F-22 Raptor through a full demonstration at the 2023 Battle Creek Field of Flight Airshow and Balloon Festival in Battle Creek, MI. Watch for several CLOSE passes and a tactical pitch out over the wall of fire by Firewalkers International Pyro!

I never grow tired of watching the F-22, especially with a pilot like RaZZ, who can really show off what that aircraft can do. It's truly amazing.

Recorded audio doesn't do the sound of these jets justice. Here we get that tearing air sound of a jet engine but these things flying at cruise speed sound so feakin' awesome.

I loved the F-14 Tomcat and was heart broken when it was retired. With the F-22 Raptor? No idea what I'll do when this amazing jet is retired. Love the sound, the agility, ahhh

Wow!! I thought the F35 was awesome but this takes the biscuit. The raw power of the F22 is an ultra adrenalin rush especially in the hands of a pilot like RaZZ.👍
Love it! I was there Monday and the Raptor definitely Stole the Show, although the F-18 Super Hornet was awesome too! Can I ask what Camera your Shooting with and does it have an eyepiece Viewfinder? I got a Panasonic HC-VX870 with 25x Optical Zoom, but it only has the Flip-out screen and I find it hard to Track the Planes with it. Next Stop...Oshkosh!
We use Sony AX-53s, viewfinder is a must for us!

I from Battle Creek so I enjoy this airshow every year hope they can bring the blue angels back to the cereal city. It’s cool you got in the tower or like how I like to call it the iconic tower.

Pretty sure that little thing hanging below the plane is so that the airfield's radar can actually pick it up!

@AirshowStuffVideos Next year if the F-22 demo team is back in Battle Creek, you absolutely NEED to come film the evening show!!! Its always my favorite one to watch! The mach diamonds are super bright & vivid with the darker evening skies. What day was this footage taken? My brother and I were there for both the Friday night & Saturday shows.

I got lucky and got to see one kind of. One was supposed to be at airshow but got called away day before. However during work which is quarter mile from airport I saw the f22 practicing and just took my lunch right then

The end of the video shows how modern fighters use aerodynamic breaking with no need for a chute. Pilot keeps nose up to expose large cross section to slow the jet down.

Hopefully, when Raptor Demonstration Team Performs in Cleveland this year there will be pyrotechnics or chaff flares used. Overall, really excited to see this aircraft this year.

I can’t think of any aircraft, and don’t believe there is an aircraft that can perform the maneuvers the Raptor performs. I am always amazed that the pilots can withstand the G forces created by all these maneuvers even with a G suit. I continue to wonder how congress let the Air Force severely reduce the build given its capability especially with the block program that can improve upon any capability shortcomings. No traditional dog fighting is rare but that jet may be able to out maneuver SAMs.

Either it was still running or in it's cool down...you can't manually 'open' or 'close' them from the cockpit.
Any reason for the missed approach?
Making sure there was no FOD on the runway from the pyro

Why use pyrotechnics? Aren't the a/c enough of a sight? I mean, the pyros are by no means realistic, so why bother?

I'm amazed when they fly over my house here in southeastern Michigan every August however, aren't we in a climate crisis? Given the amount of fuel they burn through, isn't this irresponsible, particularly when used for entertainment purposes? If they can pull off these magnificent shows across the country throughout the year, why are they not functional for military purposes?
