I personally prefer the new version probably because carlos is my favorite and he finally has a part. I personally think kendall and Logan are overrated just from fanbase wise and singing parts (no shade). Carlos and James are underrated and needed more singing parts and more respect in general since they played the "dumb" silly ones in the TV show
I think its becuz Kendall and Logan were the songwriters of the group so on the unreleased songs they did most of the vocals...and I also think with Carlos it was a confidence thing becuz now he changes up his cadence and does more riffs when performing
I understand completely with what you're saying, they definitely had a time where the company was strutcturing the songs according to the show and for the fanbase, even now when carlos does the high note in studio versions, he does avoid it live, so definitely has something with his confidence and I just hope to see more of Carlos taking the notes because he is more than capable! They definitely have found their sound these days! Sorry for the late reply~
Kendall is far from overrated. He’s like their best singer in terms of his range. He can go as low and high as he wants. And Logan is one who can hit those high notes. And James isnt underrated at all. We all know he’s the second best singer. Plus James had way more lines than Carlos and Logan in the original

Omg such an amazing reaction! It shows that you're a fan and also know what you're talking about. And regarding Carlos' high note, its quite weird because live he ALWAYS dodged that part with a lower note, and even in some of the footage of him recording this song in the studio with Kendall, he never did it. I know he can hit that Bb4 but he's just not confident enough to go for the high notes in general
Im so sorry for the late reply! Not sure why my replies aren't going through but yes! I know damn well he can reach those notes, but something in his confidence seems like he doesn't want to, but he sounds absolutely beautiful doing it. Probably doubled with logan in the studio but lets hope we see more of carlos taking the higher notes cause he is more than capable and a really solid singer!
As much as I like Carlos as a member of big time rush he’s not as talented as the other three. Plus he was an actor turned singers more than others. There is a reason in certain songs he doesn’t have a lot of lines because he can’t hit the notes the others can. Kendall and James can easily hit the high notes and Logan can as well but he was unexpected.
@@damonestephens8722 He is talented, there you're wrong. He has the range but not the training or confidence he needs to be able to do the same things as Kendall or James. And he doesn't have much lines because the producers of the show, sidelined Logan and Carlos, and made Kendall and James the more prominent singers in almost every song.

To me the new one feels like it has that energy and speed to it bc of the live instruments especially the guitar. Without that guitar in the original it feels a lot slower to me
