    Bro. Short and sweet video. Thanks man you saved a lot of my precious time unlike those who use a million things with 20 minutes video for 1 minute of folding

    I have traveled extensively. If you use dry cleaners plastic bags to put your folded garments in it prevents wrinkles because it reduces friction.

    Great method. You forgot to pack everything else though (or leave space for it). I'm interested to see how this pans out. I think it'll still get creases, but there will be fewer and they'll be easier to iron out. Thank you for the simple tutorial!

    • @AlexMDorr
      @AlexMDorr  Před rokem +1

      Haha that is so true! I typically pack just like this for up to 4 day trips. I stick with one pair of black dress shoes and put running shoes in my backpack. I then pack 4 Mitzen and Main shirts because they are so perfect for not wrinkling. I have it on my list to make a video for a longer trip that I do for work.

    • @AlexMDorr
      @AlexMDorr  Před rokem +1

      Forgot to add to this - I only take one pair of dress pants for the 4 days. Keep it simple with black or grey because it matches the one pair of black dress shoes. This is all about efficiencies. The 4 Mitzen and Main shirts never wrinkle so there is some forgiveness there. Then one or two pairs of jeans, one pair of sweats or shorts and then 3 teeshirts. The one long-sleeve or jacket, I drape over the carry-on. Hasn't failed me in 8 years to always travel with the carry-on. Hope this helps anyone looking to travel light and with style!

    I like the folding methods for each, yet would have found a way to incorporate packing into the garment side of the luggage.

    • @AlexMDorr
      @AlexMDorr  Před 2 lety

      I appreciate that feedback. That is a good call. For many of my trips I would be gone 3-5 days so I would definitely have to use the space better. I was just doing this to finish the example. That may be a better video to create one that shows a longer trip. Thank you!

      @AlexMDorr  Před rokem

      Haven't tried that yet! Will add this to the list to see if I can get something easy for you. Thanks for watching! I believe that Marie Kondo has an amazing technique for folding those and rolling them up that packs the super clean and ensures there are no wrinkles. That may help!

    When you open it later, does the shirt have any wrinkles?

    • @AlexMDorr
      @AlexMDorr  Před 2 lety +5

      Great question - for me they never do. If you happen to leave the shirt in there for a couple of days with some extra weight on it - it might. I also found that buying Mizzen+Main shirts keeps you from having wrinkles as well. Hope this helps!

  • @1618bheeshma
    @1618bheeshma Před rokem +2

    Not sure about the suits, though. Don't they usually come with a separate carrying case including a hanger?

    • @AlexMDorr
      @AlexMDorr  Před rokem

      You can absolutely do all of that, but I found them super annoying to take on the plane. I'm all about fitting everything in a carry-on if possible. With that Away luggage I had there and Mitzen and Main shirts, I've been able to do 4 day trips all in there. Let me know if you find a better solution though!

    Do you wear the jacket on the plane? If not wear do you store it while in flight?

    • @AlexMDorr
      @AlexMDorr  Před 2 lety +1

      Great question - if it is cold, I wear it on the plane. If not, I just lay it right on top of my suitcase in the overhead compartment. Maybe not the best as far as being the most clean, but it usually fits up there nicely. Just don't forget it! I've already lost 2 in my career...
