Becky, When my 3 kids was young teenagers I was a single mother and I worked and went to college both, fulltime. We survived off of 30 day bulk freezer meals and crockpots. One of the request from my kids was chicken nuggets, so i would take one day on the weekend and made between 150-200 chicken nuggets. Cook them enough to lightly brown them but not fully cooked. Then froze them. The kids could pull out a few at a time and pop into the oven to cook at their leisure. There was no way i could go through the trouble of making them every time they wanted some! If i was goingbto make them, might as well make plenty to last several meals.

Hi Becky. I wanted to answer a few questions you had for viewers in some of your episodes.
    1) Use a magazine holder to store your silicone storage bags.
    2) the fronts of your island drawers were a popular design trend in the 2000's for an "old fashioned general store" look. People filled the acrylic cabinet fronts with dried pasta noodles, dried beens, etc.
I really enjoy your shows, thank you for sharing your talents with us!

A kid I taught several years ago used to bring brown butter rice krispie treats for her birthday. She and my daughter were good friends so I asked for the recipe. Soo good! My favorite touch was that the recipe called for sprinkling some finishing salt over the top on the finished treats. I don't always have fancy salt to do it with, but it was a great finishing touch.

That method of coating the chicken is also how I do zucchini when I make Hobak Jeon which is a Korean pan-fried fritter. Just slice up some zucchini into rounds about a 1/4 of an inch thick, sprinkle it with some salt and wait until it's pretty flexible. Coat in flour or cornstarch and then egg. Fry it up and serve with a dipping sauce of 2 parts soy sauce and 1 part rice vinegar.
I'm growing gochugaru in my garden this year. I'm hoping to be able to make my own Korean chili flakes. Wish me luck!

I have been making Rice Krispie treats for 50 years, my sons all loved them. We’ll just a few years ago my granddaughter and I were making some for Christmas, and I thought we should try melting the marshmallows in a very large bowl in the microwave! After marshmallows are melted I add the butter. It is so nice because at Christmas we like to make different kinds of shapes, so if the mixture starts to cool, we just zap it again and then is pliable again. Easier clean up too!

I doubled the sauce recipe as you did and added sriracha. Best idea! Thank you for sharing your recipe and for showing us how to do it! Cheers from 🇨🇦Calgary, Alberta🇨🇦

We use a white board to make our lists Becky then just take a picture on our cell of it when we shop. After we are home we wipe off the things that were purchased and the things we did not get stay on the list till next time. White boards are more eco friendly! 😉 Love your channel! We make those fried chicken nuggets about once a month. I just fry them until they're done in the pan and then whip up an array of sauces for dipping--usually honey mustard for my husband, ranch for our girls, and then bbq for me! We love it--and it's a nice alternative to fried chicken. I'll try your sweet and sour sauce next time. Looks delicious!

When you were making the honey mustard chicken marinade, I thought of this new honey I got called Mike's Hot Honey. It's infused with chilies, but it isn't too hot. I've actually used some on French toast & it was delicious. Maybe something you might like to try out.

Becky, as I run out of things I get from Azure I add it to my Azure order, add an extra and go through the check out process. That locks in the price, and you can continue to add to your order until your cut off date. This really helps me to keep most things in stock hand avoids impulse grocery store purchases.

I was tasting them rice krispie squares along with you 😊
Also, I've added a sprinkle of granola, cornflakes, unsweetened shredded coconut & any cereals that were almost empty. Even bran flakes that no one in the house liked. 😂 Great way to use up undesirables, by slathering marshmallows on it, but the trick is just keep krispies to half of dry mixture.
Enjoy & thank you for what you do.

Great stuff. Those rice crispy treats were huge, but they looked so good. I can't wait to try the honey mustard chicken. When I make sweet n sour chicken, its the opposite of yours. I cube the chicken and then coat it in batter before I fry it. We make the sweet n sour sauce separate and serve it oven the chicken balls, which are crispy. I'm in Scotland, UK, so maybe thats why we use a different recipe. Thank you so much for sharing xx

I just made some of your marinade recipes the other day and marinated turkey, chicken and pork.
We have chalkboard foil to our fridge in the kitchen (was pretty cheap).
Everyone writes down on it, what needs to be bought.
Before that, we simply used erasable markers for whiteboardsworte and wrote on our (white) refrigerator . The markers annoyingly dried out often, so I exchanged it with the blackboard foil one day. Works great for us...

Hi Becky! You’re all about not wasting anything. I can recommend having an electronic citrus press (the kind that spins around and you press the orange or lemon on top and it removes all of the pulp and lets the juice seep through in a container below). I have tried these hand pressers and the amount of juice you gain more of the electric device is astonishing.

So thought maybe why not meal prep a lot of that chicken then freeze just the nuggets, then add your general tso sauce when you are ready to cook. It is so expensive to buy this pre done so I’m gonna try to make it homemade. Awesome job Becky!

Becky Josh Sprout Fellow Commentators. I was just thinking your mom's master shopping list would be great for a basic list for your freezer controll/ shopping list. I keep my freezer list on top of the chest freezers and on the door of the fridge freezer. The actual shopping list could be on an inside cabinet door in the kitchen...whatever you open MOST.

Hi Becky! If you like Rice Krispies treats, then maybe you should try using Mars Bars instead of marshmallows. The recipe I use calls for melted milk chocolate on top of the squares and I sometimes add sprinkles too just to finish them off in a pretty way!! Pre-pandemic, I helped at a kids activity group for 4-9 year olds and as it was my birthday on one of the nights the group met, I took some Mars Bar squares along for everyone. They went down really well, but then I think kids love chocolate anyway and we had all come back to the building where the group was held from a treasure hunt, so I think the kids needed a snack! 😀Hope Joh enjoyed the sweet and sour chicken you made this night. If you wrap lemons and probably limes in tin foil, then you can freeze them whole until you get round to using them if that helps you at all, or you can zest and juice them and freeze the zest in a bag and the juice either in ice cube trays or in a container that you can keep adding to. You probably know all that already though!

Stir in cereal and then fold in the other bag so you get these gooey little chunks. Delish! Brown butter is a game changer for these suckers! :) Love watching your channel!
