someone's probably said this, but I believe Play Boosters start in Murders at Karlov Manor. LCI and Ravnica Remastered will still use the set/draft system.
If you’re doing more Ixalan content, please look up any of the pronunciation guides for the set. Many of the names are based in Mesoamerican culture.
Good vid, ive been hoping to see a vid like this soon so i could see a number of packs opened. However, I'm greatly disappointed in how few pirates have been placed into the set. This is the only set where pirates are a part of the plane; and there are so little pirates. Greatly disappointed 😞

There are a fair few new pirates in the commander deck, but it did feel like merfolk and other tribes got more love in this set.

I preordered a Draft box early enough that it came out to 2 dollars a pack, it’s too bad play boosters are going to raise that.
I'm excited about collecting this set. And so is my son. He wants all the Jurassic Park cards. Lol

I think tokens don't work with descend. It says permanent card not just permanent. Kinda like bloodchief ascension.
Tokens can’t exist in graveyard. They go then immediately vanish.
A token is not a permant card for Descent
Yup, tokens are considered permanents, but are not cards. Very important distinction here.
You actually get more from a play booster but it's more expensive and considering there's 36 packs of those expensive packs per box.
Box didn’t look like $120 worth of value. When I open mine next Friday I’m hoping for at least 8 JP cards. I was expecting higher frequency than what I saw here 😢

I got absolutely fleeced by tgis box so hard I'll only be buying singles from now on.
It was so bad that my box topper was a @$$&ing "Worn Powerstone."
Nearly all the rares were taken up by these really not great but "okay" dual man-lands.
For some reason, the flip side cards where almost all crafting artifacts which focus on tribes I don't play.
I have a booklet of the uncommon dual legendary creatures, especially the not as good ones.
If it wasnt for a surprise Meathook Massacre list card, i would have made a third in value of the box cost itself...
I pulled:
Meathook Massacre
Shek God
Aclazotz double damage demon
Golgari "play a permanent from graveyard" 3 cmc card
Brass Excavator
And like one or two other semi noteworthy things.
The commons and uncommons are okay kind of thanks to explore and discover, but that mechanic appeared in so few cards of mine. I didnt even get a good map token generator for another commander deck of mine.

Even if you didn’t get a lot of Jurassic cards, you got lucky with the ones you pulled. Looks like land cards are what is the most commonly pulled based off other opening videos.

Look at it like this. Less mythics pulled pr box can mean that the cards actually holds some value. Which is a good thing in my book. I actually think reducing it to one or two boxes (collectors i doubt will go away) is the the right way to go. But the price increases we are seeing with just about every new set is not. We are paying more and more for worse and worse quality of cardboard and quality control in general. Which is bad. My two cents.

Um he pulled out a Lord Windgrace, maybe you didn't paid atention.
Lord Windgrace is a special guest in the Ixalan set, and since he pulled one from the set booster they are draftable out of them.

@@DiaMindRecords it's not until the advent of play boosters with Murders at Karlov Manor that the Special Guests will be draftable. You cannot find Special Guests in draft boosters, as they can only be found in the List slot, which a draft booster lacks.

He made back the value of the box for sure. I looked at the value of the mythics plus the Great Door, and it's sitting around $78 total, and when you add Lord Windgrace to that, that's probably the box value right there. Then there's all the other cards as well, including every rare he pulled.
@@collinbeal Spiked prices since the set it not released yet. Checked the great door and the 256 copies people are selling are going for about 5.5 dollars currently. Dude did not getting his money's worth.
