- We live in an age where cars are becoming more like automotive Swiss Army knives than ever before. The new Mercedes AMG GLC63 coupe for example a practical SUV, a serious performance car and a luxury cruiser all wrapped up in a stylish and sporty European body. And while this breadth of talent might be convenient, I do crave something more focussed. Rather than an automotive Swiss Army knife, let’s check out a scalpel.

Watched your video a gazillion times - last week I finally got one. Many thanks for your excellent effort!
Alexander thank you SO SO SO much. Seriously, this means the world to me!
Love your surgeons/scalpel metaphor
Thanks Peter. Hopefully it's a pretty accurate metaphor for the car. Thanks for watching too.
G'Day Peter, just thought I'd let you know I've started another car content channel and I'm hoping you'd enjoy it. Here's the link: czcams.com/channels/VnLfmYPxEGHO7BRXSxSJ_w.html
Fantastic, well done. Cheers mate
Possibly the best review on a 2017 Lotus I have ever watched! Definitely very enjoyable.
Oh wow thank you so so much Moritz. That truly means the world to me.
Ace camera work, legendary commentary and amazing car. Well done Adz
Thanks legend!
Outstanding job. One of the more enjoyable Elise driving CZcamss I've seen.
Ah thank you!
Great video, it's as if it is professionally made, in fact it goes beyond the quality of car advice, cars guide etc. You deserve thousands more subscribers along with many more views on all your vids
Wow! Thank you so so so much!!!! You have no idea how much I appreciate your incredible words. Again, just thank you.
Oh wow James thank you. Mate feel free to tell those guys your thoughts.
excellent analogy. the Elise is so sublime it's an ideal
Thanks mate
Glad you enjoyed Bill. Thanks so much for watching
I just got finished praising the now-perfected body on the 2017 Exige S roadster. Ditto for the 2017 Elise S. They both belong in the Louvre.
Totally agree. And thank you for watching
Sehr schönes Video. Sympathisch rüber gebracht und gut fotografiert. Daumen hoch!
My 2010 has a cup holder but i might add its a work of art as only lotus can make (cunningly slides under the dash )always to busy inside to use it though, love my beast shes totally point and shoot. regards NZ
I'll tell Lotus to fit this one with a cup holder ;) and thanks so much for watching
Very good review. Love my Elise.
Ah thank you so much
You'll have you're own TV Motor show if you keep this level of work up. The likes of Top Gear have hundred of people producing and directing their show and you've just out done them on your own. Very very well put together video, great sense of humor throughout, informative and accurate. you've just got yourself a new Sub!
Wow. Just wow man. Thank you so so so much. You've made my day.
Kyle, I've taken your comments from 3 years ago and have created ReDriven. Love your thoughts on it. Here's the linkczcams.com/channels/VnLfmYPxEGHO7BRXSxSJ_w.html
Great review, I Love my Elise just waiting for winter to pass.
Thank you so much.
Can you remember what the Elise S’ revs up to ? As the 06 elise R was around 8500 in 1st & 2nd , 8200 in 3rd - 6th .
Waiting 4 the winter is over what, I drive it all year long, it's my daily.
Love this video, love lotus and well filmed. Excellent! I'll park it next to my Type R!
Cheers mate
Mate, I've started another car content channel and I'm hoping you dig it. Here's the link: czcams.com/channels/VnLfmYPxEGHO7BRXSxSJ_w.html
@@adzmorris Subscribed and bell hit! I'll support you. Merry Christmas. Do you still have the 996 911?
@@jaylocke9574 Mate thanks so much! I don't have the 911 and that was just on loan for a while (I do wish it was a permanent loan). Currently in the garage is an i30N (again not mine but on loan), my 1989 MX5 (the track car), a mint very low kms 99 WRX and a 2015 Subaru XV as the daily.
@@adzmorris Sadly just sold my Fk8 for 2020 Cx5 Akera turbo in Mazda red. Really great quick luxurious SUV for 52k away. Would give that Skoda Kodiaq RS Diesel a good go at the lights. I was surprised. I really want a 124 Abarth as my fun car. Drive one and just loved the transmission and aprovik? exhaust. Enjoy your new year and happy New channel.
I love the Exige S but this is a close second.
I couldn't agree more - this is a car for a driver.
I'm so tired about rolling data centers that even want to take steering away from me while sending all my data constantly to someone.
I want to DRIVE. If I wanted to be driven, I'd take a taxi.
Thanks for the video.
My pleasure mate, thanks for watching
Now we have redriven
Very well done, congrats! Keep it up.
Fathi (
G'Day Fathi. I've started a new car content channel called ReDriven and I'm hoping you'll dig it. Here's the link czcams.com/channels/VnLfmYPxEGHO7BRXSxSJ_w.html
Subbed awesome video
G'Day Occa. Mate I've started a new automotive content channel and I'm hoping you'll enjoy it. It's called ReDriven and here's the link czcams.com/channels/VnLfmYPxEGHO7BRXSxSJ_w.html
Hi, great filming, great review. Just a quick question -- is the car running the stock exhaust or does it have an aftermarket exhaust fitted (if it has- which one?). Thanks.
Cheers Mate
It's a Lotus Sports Exhaust. Fitted at Simply Sports Cars in Sydney. I'm not exactly sure which model exhaust it was as they offer a few variants but if you speak to Richard at Simply Sports Cars, he'll get you sorted.
Awesome, cheers!
i want one ! but no money yet :D
Second hand ones are floating about for around $30K
900kg is a lot and thats because its from 2017 so its imo not the scalpel it used to be. The sc is also a let down imo. I have a 2003 lotus elise 111s with rover vvc engine 190hp 747kg, now thats light, cam converted 8400rpm redline........ow yeah.
Are you telling me I own an Elise engine
Yes!
Turn off the music!! Let us hear the car, or at least you, not your taste in music
G'Day John. We would have loved to feature more car sounds but we had an extremely limited time with the car and we honestly just ran out of time to capture quality audio. As far as the music goes, again we had a short time to get this edited and live and finding great licence free music that sits within our budget in the time we had was already extremely difficult.
We do try our best and I endeavour to create the best videos I can and my apologies that it hasn't met your standards but, putting videos like this together with the time and budget constraints we faced comes with some pretty monumental challenges.
I feel that unless someone is directly involved in the world of production, content creation or motoring journalism, what we create can feel far easier and carefree than what it actually is.
@@adzmorris i understand, sorry to be a nuisance.
@@johntomaino4614 Oh mate not a nuisance at all, I appreciate any feedback. Have a great day.
@@adzmorris Thank you
G'Day John. Mate I've started a new automotive channel called ReDriven and I'm hoping you'll enjoy it. We've kept the music pretty minimal but I'd love your opinion on it. Here's the link czcams.com/channels/VnLfmYPxEGHO7BRXSxSJ_w.html
