    I love the new gen Vekomas and I am happy, that I could ride the ones in europe. Back than, I was happy, that Intamin made Hyperion, but after I rode the new Vekomas, I kinda wish Vekoma had the possibility to build Hyperion. I do like Hyperion, but the knowing what Vekoma can create, it makes me thinking. Hopefully Vekoma gets the chance to built a Giga in EL. I can dream.

    Awesome video, I think they will definitely be among the elite by the end of the decade when people have ridden more of their coasters.
    I also think that since their coasters are cheaper, they won’t be impacted as much as other manufacturers will be by the aftermath of the pandemic as I believe that many parks will unfortunately be making less money for at least the next 3-4 years then they were before 2020 due to a lot of people losing jobs and having less money than before. Most parks won’t want to get a coaster or new ride from an expensive manufacturer and I think that is exactly where Vekoma comes in.

    i live in the netherlands, so my favorite ride when i was 14 was el condor, yes their SLC Prototype. but i rode another old style slc in chine, it was actually fucking amazing completely different layout. so there you have it, the preconception that VEKOMA is or was the worst, they are smoother than most morgan and arrow coasters, vekoma was thoight by arrow and SnS by improved upon it, with stronger tracks more spants to the rails higher spants computer engineering tbh ik drachenfire was built by vekoma, it'd be still riding today. They were never a bad manufacturer its just americans are spoiled with their crazy amount of B&M and Intamin rides. America has the most to offer coaster wise.
    |its good to see vekoma innovating, my only oncern is track gauging. for a buttersmooth SLC. maybe for their gigas and thrill rides they need a 20% to 30% wider guage that technology is B&M's trade secret.

      Pacing (for roller coasters) is how good a coaster is at maintaining its speed or intensity throughout the ride. It can be affected by weather, size of elements, and time of day. Hopefully this helps :)

    Vekoma is definitely the best manufacturer when it comes to selling their rides. Other manufacturers just have flaws, that Vekoma doesn't have. Intamin is very innovative and makes very intense and beloved coasters, but their track record is one of the worst with many downtimes. RMC has the best overall quality of coasters, but they only build very thrilling rides and don't have any coasters aiming for familys. You can never go wrong with a modern B&M, but their rides are very expensive and they also have a lack of roller coasters aiming for the whole family. Vekoma doesn't have these "flaws" other manufacturers have. Their rides don't have as many downtime, their roller coasters ranges from family friendly types like the kiddy coaster to elite thrill machines like the Bermuda Blitz and their roller coasters are less expensive than that of other companies.

    • @808CoasterLife

      @nuttydishwasher5377 Před 3 lety

      In other words, Vekoma is a very good all-rounder.
      Not too expensive, reasonably reliable, quite comfortable and able to make coasters for family use as well as thrill seekers.
      Where they used to have quantity, they are now adding quality as well.
      Of course Intamin is still the king of extreme thrill, and B&M the king of ride comfort, but they have the weakness of unreliability and expense.
      RMC is a great mix of the two, but is still quite a small company and doesn't make smaller family coasters.

    Tbf vekoma have been creating smooth track since the 2000s with their SLC and flying dutchman models. The track profiling is good it's just the trains... not so good. They started using a newer smoother track design with their motorbike launch coasters. Then on their 2nd generation flyers and family suspended coasters. But since mid the 2010s they've seriously ramped up their game. I can't think if a single negative for this company now.
