The Gates of Hell - Scorched Earth DLC is here! Well.. almost anyway, its probably releasing very soon, however the devs were super awesome and gave my friend Davidson and I early access to make some videos leading up to the release of the DLC! Here we have an as complete as I can make it overview of both the new units in the Scorched Earth DLC as well as the free Content Update #4!

I hope the devs see this message I really just want to congratulate them on all the work they put into this game from the details of each model right up to the inclusion of these units in each faction their efforts as well as content they put out regularly really shows. Would just like to say thank for such an awesome game. I also truly hope one day we see an American as well as English faction come into the fold somewhere down the line. But nevertheless good job guys, truly!
I think with lend lease vehicles as the Churchill, Sherman's, Stuart, Valentine's and Scout cars they are well on their way to make a British and American faction for sure

Another fact about the Storch, it was one of the last German aircraft to arrive in Berlin in 1945. Hanna Reitsch, famous test pilot and aviation pioneer, along with General von Greim of the Luftwaffe, were being summoned to the Führerbunker so von Greim could assume control of the Luftwaffe after Goering got the boot. They landed in the Tiergarten, which at that point had been partially turned into an improvised airstrip, after taking heavy fire from Soviet troops on the ground, in which Greim was wounded in the foot. He and Hanna would go on to leave Berlin in a different plane (which on a side note made some of the Soviet infantry who saw it take off a little worried because they thought Hitler was on it), and he was eventually captured by the Americans, famously saying "I am the head of the Luftwaffe, but I have no Luftwaffe."
That plane definitely was part of a lot of history!

I don't know if the battleship gun scale is correct but damn, it's scary to see it next to tanks that are juggernauts in size, even today.

Awesome video! I've been itching for a rundown on the current units in the game. Mostly because when I play conquest, I have no idea what I should go for when selecting my research tree units. Something like that, or a helpful source would be dope.

The DLC is awesome! I really love the new doctrines especially the late war "endkampf" doctrine! Awesome Jagdtiger and Especially Thor and the 17mm Artillery! Everything you need to get things done!

I'm really excited for the aircraft. Ive always wanted aircraft in the game. Give a bit more purpose to AA emplacements and AA tanks.
There are already a few aircraft for sure but more is good!!

Hey Sherm, have the devs imparted any information to you about what will be added to Conquest campaign mode with this DLC?
No but I was able to see the vast majority of the new units in the conquest roster so far

2:05 I've always wondered this in GEM engine games, what is the 'correct way' you are supposed to load a map so that the trenches and craters etc have proper depth?
Its like a combination of loading the map and then the mission or something, im not sure why tho
What I do is save the map in F2 mode then save it in F3 mode, then load it in F3 mode.
Yes it's convoluted. But I haven't found another way to get the depth without the mission playing.

During the reloading animation of the Karl, the back 2 soldiers don't hold the handles correctly when cranking..
I did notice that
They kinda missed the super heavies IS-3 & Maus.
Im so glad they finally added the T-50 it was the missing piece between the early tanks and the first T-34.

with this, there will be 3 variants of IS2 in the game which not significantly different. I wish, IS3 joining to counter that JgTiger
IS3 would kinda fit in the last seconds of the war I guess

Yeas and no the SE units are paid, the Shermans, Stuart etc units are free

Now I need to find a mod that adds Pershings to the game, install the valour mod and I can recreate the scene from gup

I hope to se more DLCs with new free updates, factions and units. For the price and the DLC program I don't care. I will follow the same route for the Total War games and others. Buy the game in promotions and full of DLCs even if I need to wait some years.
Also great job for the dedication and detail of the creators, hope to see in the future less know units or variants like the Dicker Max or the Sture Emil. Hope to see also a Pacific campaign scenario for the USA and Japan even if a need to wait some years.
I am hoping we get to indeed see some units like the Dicker Max, Sturer Emil, but Id love to see Jagdpanzers IVs in the game!
@@theShermanator Maybe wee can show our feedback for what type of content whe want for the game. Also more time to wait, more "free" content like for example the mods of the Steam workshop. Also I don't have many hopes for the Men of War 2, even if they finally get rid of the model of missions/multiplayer focus from AS 2.

Wasn't it a mod? Id have to find it - just let me know if you find anything about the Gustav or the P1500 or so, Id be interested! (not the P1000, I know where to find that haha)

I dont know just yet as they are not in my build

Nope; SHoWW2 was made by Bestway and published by 1C, this is made by BWS and published my DMS, they are very different :)
Kinda sucks seeing some of these iconic vehicles locked behind a DLC tbh
Yeah I don’t understand why the Ostwind,Whirlbelwind,PAK43, Jadgtiger and SPGs are dlc. Makes no sense. They are iconic vehicles and it seems like the devs are greedy when assault squad 2 gave us all of these in the base game
I can see that, I think the DLC is about more than just the units though, 8 missions is quite decent, almost doubling the amount the game launched with (which I think was 5 for each faction) - they are very good quality so far with interesting scenarios. The units are also new and not ported from Men of War to MOWAS1 and then from MOWAS1 to MOWAS2 lmao
Ofc you have to decide for yourself if you want to get the DLC and support the devs or not in the end

mmmm maybe, they are both RTS games, both WW2 thats about it, I think they are very different, especially when you look at the direct control feature

This has proven to be far better than the Men Of War series to me.

game is sick just sucks you have to buy like 5 plus dlc to basically get the full game, also it seems gates of hells maps are bigger wish it was the same for regular CTA
CTA is such a lazy game, literally the only reason I play it is for Gates of Hell
CtA has not much to do with GoH other than that the publisher wants you to buy their game so you can get access to GoH.. CtA is alright with amazing mods like the Warfighter mod tho!
I am excited for Thor, but its a bit sad it has to be balanced. Germany suffers lol

There is free content as part of the update, if ur asking why you are paying people who made these vehicles and 8 missions from scratch.. I think that's the normal way of life; they are giving free units, patches, fixes and 6 maps, the missions and some units being paid is fair for the work they did on them
