I can't thank you enough for publishing the video, it helped me tremendously. You are a wonderful kind person to share your knowledge. Thank you again!!
Great job dude! You are the best explaining in simple ways! :)
Thank you for this video I’ve been having this problem for 2 years and was about to take it to the mechanic and I hate taking my vehicles to the mechanic for small things plus I’m a DYI GUY ALL THE WAY LOL.
I just bought a jeep Cherokee, it’s doing this exact thing! Now I know what the heck! Thanks ❤
This is fantastic. I am going to see if this is the same situation for my 2017 Cherokee Trailhawk. I am getting a wet vac full of water from the front driver side well.
Great video! This same problem developed about 5 months ago on my '01 grand cherokee and has gotten worse since. I watched this video, pulled down the trim to check it out, and the whole hose fell apart on both sides. I happened to have plastic tubing that I used to fix the problem. Thanks for sharing.
Glad it helped!
I can't thank you enough for sharing this video, it helped me tremendously. This is the same issue I have with my 2001 Cherokee. Thanks again!!
Thanks, I’m glad I found you on CZcams! I had no idea where the water leak was coming from! Will try and fix ASAP
Very sample, talking while working instead of sitting telling your life story while someone trying get help, thanks and great job
Thank you for sharing this. I’m almost positive this is the problem I have right now with my 06’ Jeep Liberty
I have a 2012 Grand Cherokee and looking at this video help a lot now I know where it's leaking... Thanks 👍
You are the MAN!!! Im gonna go check my 06 grand Cherokee right now!!! Going crazy trying to figure it out!!!
Thank you❤❤❤
You got to be kidding me! My dad always told me, "Never buy a #Chrysler." I didn't listen. Every year I go through some mysterious mechanical problem. Who that hell thought that was a great idea at the Chrysler meeting in China?
Thank you for your video.
Thank you so much! I was going insane trying to find put where the water was coming from🙏
EXACTLY what’s happening in my 07 Liberty- THANK YOU!
I have a 2016 cherokee and my back seat floor gets wet so I’m gonna try this! Thanks for sharing!
Been having the problem for about a week thanks for the quick fix
Thanks for showing the video, I have the same problem with my 2016 Jeep Cherokee and now I know where the water is coming from and how to fix it....
definitely gave me insight on how water is getting in the drivers floor in jeep commander
thank you! I'm fixing it myself this weekend...
Thanks. Will try this. I'm an overfixer too!
Thank you. I'm gonna attempt to fix my own.
NICE!!!! Colin you saved me from ALOT!! of grey hair Thanks for the post. In fact i have 3 other customers cars with similar issues gotta check this fix for the others.
Awesome instructions and humour
Wow. We just learned how to get to the plastic tube. We were blowing air or sending a thing peace or tubing down through the top to clear the tub.
Exactly happened to me. Thanks alot
Thank you soo much! You just earned a subscriber
Thank you so much. My Jeep is driving me crazy.
Bought an 05 Jeep GC, no sunroof, but front floorboards on driver's & passenger's side soaked after the rain we had yesterday. Found this video. Fingers crossed that this works on my GC! Thank you!!!
We hope it does but with no sunroof I'm not sure. Let us know what it was when you figure it out. Thanx for watching our channel.
So what was the issue?
@@ColinsClub Mine is the same, haven't checked if there are hoses in the frame yet. Thought it could be the roof rack leaking somehow?
this really helped, thanks!
yo, thank you for the video!
OMG!!! thank youuuuu!!! Will try this asap
I'm going to try this right now !!!! Hope I don't break my nails !!!
Good deal my 08 Commander just started leaking from the A pillar square plug on the driver side and it doesn't start leaking until I drive down the road then it starts leaking from the plug, and I'm betting this is my problem thanks.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR INFO YOU SAVED ME A LOT OF TIME, AND MONEY, IF YOU GET NEW TIRE WHEEL SENORS GO FACTORY AFTER MARKET WILL , NOT FIX IDIOT LIGHT ON DASH, NOT COMPARABLE WITH JEEP SOFT WARE
Awesome job!
Great creative alternative.
Hello. Just wondering. If the driver side is the same way to fix. i have a big water problem on the driver side floor
Thanks for this ❤
have 2017 jeep Cherokee and my floor board is wet but my window panel is not leaking. What’s my problem?
You are a Hero, thank you dawg
Mine was unplugged from bottom for some reason. I plugged it back in poured water threw sunroof and it drain threw the bottom how it should.
I hope it's the same on Jeep Liberty 2005?
Can this be the same issue in a 2006 Jeep Liberty? I also get a huge puddle of water after heavy rain on the passenger side
Thank you brotha
I can’t seem to get the 7/32 wrench to that screw on the handle. How did you manage??
Thank you!!!!!!
Canada here...bingo!...thanks!
Funny. First time i owned a jeep. And was boggled by this problem thanx because i was about to take the windsheild out and redo it myself because it was recently replaced and i thought they didnt seal it properly.
I almost did the same
Mine is doing the same but I don't have a sunroof. So ?
Thanks 😊
Thank you for this
did this work for you?
Great, thanks.
Great fix, reminded me of the old man!
THANKYOU ‼️❤️❤️
Omg, thank you sir.
You're welcome
Unfortunately I'm getting a good amount of water in the back passenger side of my 2019 Jeep Renegade..Don't have a Sunroof tho so not sure where the water is coming from...any ideas not having a Sunroof?
I don't sorry. Keep googling it
gonna try that... it was driving me bananas...
But when you drive its going to break on the other areas thst are brittle. Wouldnt it be better to look at some of the other videos and go to ace hardware and get the plastic hose and do the whole part and then do the drivers too. Becaise if one is dry rotted, the chances are the other side is need a new hose. I think the back has two also just going backwards.
What if I don't have a sunroof?
I don't know what was better the video or the slurpee that I had while watching the video! Lol
Mine does this!
I'm sure my leak is coming from there as well because of the staining on the trim on my 12 Liberty. What if the break is higher or lower where it's not seen?
If it's higher or lower and ya can't see it that's a tough call. There has got to be some videos out there on that. Good luck and thank you for commenting
When about if it leaks down that not reachable
Hello, I have this issue right now with the floorboards getting soaked. My Jeep does not have the sunroof so it does not have the drain tube. Any suggestions of how the rain is getting in?
I'm sorry but i don't. Keep googling for answers. :-)
Help. I bought the 7/32 socket for my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee but when I twist the screw I can’t get it to come off
Maybe have to push in harder to get socket deeper. Its a tight space
Use a hose clamp if need be
thats exactly my issue
Sweet
In my case these tubes are OK, none could figure out how water appears insidebat the driver's side😢
I dont have a sunroof but my jeeps leaking the same way anybody have a idea?
Got no sunroof and same problem. Driving my f?*$cking crazy. Could it be coming through the roof rack screw holes somehow and down under that same plastic paneling under the carpet. I've pulled it back most of the way but can't see anything. Such a mystery! 🤷♂️🤦
Hi did you manage to solve the leak? I have the same no sun roof but soaked carpets.
2009 Laredo, but 7/32” socket is way too small, and I’m having trouble finding the right one. Also, I just noticed the ceiling around the sunroof has water stains 🤬, so this is going to cost me.
Spray I little windex on it and scrub it with water. No more satins
@@forkateandnancy I've got a few stains. Nervous about touching t fabric. I'll see about the Windex
Those drain tubes go bad regardless of having a sunroof or not. It's actually leaking from those long rubber seals that run along the roof.
Does anyone know if these drains are present in Jeeps without a sunroof?
That's a good question, but i don't know the answer to that. Sorry. Maybe call a jeep dealer and talk to service manager.
Those straws won't last that long use something better. Better compound material like a black hose from auto parts store. Sun roofs aren't water tight that's the reason for the drain tubes. Lol good video none the less.
2010 jeep grand cherokee this is the perfect video help a lot thx
I'm dealing with this issue in 2008 jeep
We hope it's an easy fix for you
Having trouble getting the pillar off. The entrance way is so narrow I can't get a tool into the hole. (no pun intended)
I would just go to Lowes or Home depot and get clear vinyl tubing and replace the whole entire length of hose and never have to mess with it again.
My 2009 Laredo had a 10mm bolt, not 7/32”, btw. Unfortunately this wasn’t the source of my mystery leak. Carpets get soaked on both sides, appears to come out from the underside of the door, but I can’t find it! Body shop wanted $350 just to triage it! 😤😡
Mann my 2006 Grand Cherokee Laredo is leaking water on both passenger and driver side as well. Cannot find where it is leaking from.
My 2006 jeep liberty leaks only on the passenger side that seems simple
I am having this problem as we speak and spent $400 at a Jeep dealership and it still leaks.
Anybody any ideas why a 2007 Jeep Grand Cherokee would have a wet passenger seat??
Any answers would be grateful.
Have sunroof? If so maybe rubber seals that go around sunroof when shut are dry rotted. Or someone left open a crack and didnt tell you?
I will have a look at the seals. Did it drop on one spot for you?
The OEM hose is like 10.00
It doesn’t work for us because we don’t have that…
Mangos
Worst design in a vehicle ever wtf
Hurricane Irma died out into a Tropical Storm here in Georgia but it rained for nearly 36 non stop and my passenger's side of my 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee had about 3 inches of standing water in the floor board. I did notice a few drips coming from the trim around the sunroof and I thought maybe my drains were clogged. I'll definitely check this out today. I bought the Jeep from up North and all but one window regulator has failed and two brake calipers have also frozen up solid. My dad says the salt up there is hell on vehicles but the undercarriage has very little rust. Thanks for the video!!

Awesome. Boss . You just saved me some green. I've had three wj's. Just gave my last one to my kid. He being 18 fixed it without me. Thank you.
Great video Colin. The same issue has been driving me nuts for weeks, trying to narrow down the cause of a wet floor. Will sort this out myself tomorrow :)
Thanks for sharing this video. I followed your instructions and replace this with some rubber hose I had in my basement, have not had an issue since. I am waiting for more rainy days to make sure, but I am quite sure you have helped me resolve an issue that had me baffled. I couldn't understand where the water was coming from, I thought I had left a window slightly opened or the seal of the door was bad, but when I checked the hose at the bottom was cut off and you could see where the water was coming in. Thank God I replaced it before it caused any short circuit in the wires. Thankk you very much.
Glad we could help you. We love saving Money by fixing things ourselves.
WJ Jeep Grand Cherokee is the king of cheap DIY repairs!
Hey thanks for this video, I just got a new windshield and it fixed my passenger side, but my driver's side is damp. I am going to try this and I think it will be the solution! Thanks again, you're the only one out there with this theory for a Jeep WJ.
Your welcome Riley. Once you take off the cover, you will see right away if the plastic drain tube that looks like a big straw is dry rotted and cracked. If it is open the sun roof and pour some water in that side to see what happens.
I bought trim I used silicone I tried the fix on the floor one way valve no joy ...to morrow I'm gonna try this & this looks like a winner
Great video!! That was exactly the problem we had on our Jeep Grand Cherokee. Problem finally solved ,thanks a lot!!!!!!
Thank you!!! I was having this issue and sure enough mine were broken in 2 places. Just replaced the tubing with vinyl tubing and hopefully next rain my floors will stay dry!
Your welcome.
THANK YOU! Finally, I can fix this problem.
There are MANY similar videos talking about this same problem from various Jeep models. Would it seriously cost them that much more money to just use better tubing to begin with?
