Hi guys, not sure if anyone has made a comment yet about it but just in case. The Toon Amphitheater is actually used year round, just not for day guests. It's where we usually hold the cheer competitions, sometimes it's used for set construction/filming, and is also used as a storage area during the holidays. There used to be a show in the amphitheater when it first opened but it got discontinued many years ago.
We have heard that from a few people about the cheer but not about holiday storage and things of that nature! Thank you for letting us know! We love little tidbits like that!

Behind Hogs head there are umbrellas and a nice patio that is great shelter for rain. If you are looking at the front door to hogs head, there is an archway to the right of it that brings you back to an empty patio where you can watch velocicoaster while sipping butterbeer
We love that patio! We go back there a lot in the mornings, but once the 3 broomsticks gets busy, it’s filled with people eating at the restaurant! Love it, though!!
The line for Storm force is usally a good spot to hide out lol

in Jurassic Park, the right side of the Discovery Center after you exit Velocicoaster is normally empty except for some parked strollers and is covered. In Hogsmeade the alley behind Honeydukes is always empty. In Suess Landing there's never anyone down by Sneetch Beach.
Oh absolutely! This definitely wasn’t an exhaustive list. We thought about the hideout behind honeydukes, but it seems like there’s always team members using that entrance, so we feel in the way!

Check out the awning attached to the back of Comic Strip Cafe in Toon Lagoon that you can access behind Dudley Do-Right's. The cafe closes pretty early usually so it's abandoned and shaded. I always sat there while my family did water rides and there was almost never another person back there.
Oh that’s a good one, too! People (including us) forget it exists because it’s so out of the way!

As many times as I’ve been to the parks, I’ve never been in most of these areas. Granted I’m generally just running from ride to ride like a mad woman but it’s great to know these places exist!

I went to Universal a couple of weeks ago. Before I went I binged on your videos. I’m so glad I did because I really had no idea what to do or where to go and was a bit overwhelmed. But after watching your videos I had a plan and felt confident about it. Did the two day park hopper so I could ride the hogwarts express. Had five butter beers, all three types. Got everything in in my two days there. I’m sure I missed some stuff but I think I really got everything in I wanted to. I even did those Jurassic caves. My biggest surprise was The fast and Furious because I’ve only heard people say they don’t like it but I thought it was great. Velocicoaster was my favorite. And I was blown away by all the Harry Potter stuff. I liked the rice bowls at Thunder falls terrace. Anyways just wanted to let you know your videos helped so much, would never have known about knockturn ally, was great. I subbed and will keep watching, thanks!

My family and I just got back from Universal yesterday. I must thank you for you all of your helpful tips. We had a great time at the parks from frozen butterbeer to green eggs and ham. If it gets too busy or hot, I like to sneak away to the beachclub at the hard rock hotel to grab a snack and do some pool hopping! I love that Universal has pool hopping where if you are staying on property you get access to the pools at the other properties! Then head back to the parks when the afternoon crowds thin out!

You can go if you go towards red Fish two Fish and go towards the shop there will be like a little area where you can sit down and then you also have snitch beach

The Toon Lagoon stadium near Marvel Island was used for the Mat Hoffman BMX show... 2002-2004 and 2010-2011
Apparently it’s used for several different events that Universal hosts throughout the years!
In Hogsmead behind the post office, there are some tables.

If you go out the back door of Cats, Hats, and Things in Suess Landing there is a little sitting area that is quiet or was for us.
That’s a good one too! This definitely isn’t an exhaustive list. There are all kinds of little places where you can find a quite place to sit. These are just some of our favorites!
I like hanging out in the outdoor eating area in Jurassic Park area, kind of across from the 2nd floor entrance to the large gift shop/“science center”. When it’s not prime time for lunch, it’s a nice shady area to take a break from the heat.

Last year was the first time my family and I went to Universal (for my birthday😌) after 6 years since the last time we were there, and watching your guys vids helped a lot! Gonna use all these tips when we go again this year for my birthday😂. My bday is 4th of July and honestly I’m surprised we actually got to go on all the rides we wanted to since it’s summer lol so hoping for the best this year too😂.

I stay salty because the only time we could have ridden Pteranodon, my wife rode with our son just before the parks closed. Next time we visited, he was too tall.
Oh my gosh that’s so frustrating! I think that might be even worse than not having a kid to ride it with at all.
Also our top tip, well it was my sister's idea, she suggested when we got into Islands that we turn left and head straight for Marvel and go backwards, and we were able to get all the rides done there and in toon lagoon, didn't need to use fast pass or anything, it was class!

Seuss Landing has the BEST bathrooms! There is never anybody there and they are always very, very clean! (Toon lagoon has the worst bathrooms) but I loved the walkway behind Popeyes! It was so nice and relaxing and cool to see the Velocicoaster and the water ride; and just the views over the lake 😍 Hogsmeade is amazing, but my absolute worst place due to the crowds, it’s always so so so crazy. I HAVE to find those pressure point dinosaur feets!!! 🦖 and the misty cave!
That’s so funny! On our last few trips, the toon lagoon bathrooms have been the cleanest by far. It’s funny how it changes lol. You’ll have to let us know what you think about the caves! The pressure plates are fun, too!
**looking around for Sneetch Beach**
The amphitheater is soooo rarely used. Cheerleading competitions last year. HP shows during the HP weekends, and Bill N Ted during HHN is all I can recall.
We considered it! We just never find ourselves hanging out there because it feels slightly more like a walkway than somewhere to spend some time. That’s so weird they don’t use the amphitheater more!
This seems to be a popular video theme. There are places in each land to get a breather from people. Keep looking

Been going for a few years and I smoke so I know the past areas for smoking are usually by the water behind stores. Even being smoking areas there's usually not many of us there. Also the shortcut around Seuss is pretty big and can get away from crowds. There was an alcove by the HP entrance/arch that you could sit and rest too.
Oh for sure! There are definitely other places to escape the crowds, these are just some the best ones and our favorites!
Oddly enough this morning I watched a video Taylor made of spot to hide in IOA as well, so crazy! Now I will have so many places to hide away in the parks. Usually we hid by Bluto's! Oh! I forgot, the camp Jurassic Area as well... I mean, we have kids, so we may have been in there a few times! I may have a video somewhere of Joshua stepping on those footprints... I LOVE IT!
Yeah we saw that as well! Haha the footprints are hilarious and the first time you walk back there and don't realize why all the sounds are happening!

The stadium show in Toon Lagoon was called Pandemonium. It was like a puppet show similar to the Shrek meet and greet where comic book characters would pop out of windows and such on a stage. It hasn't played since I was a kid but it was a funny show and a good way to escape the FL heat. I hope they replace it with something else.
Oh wow! That’s awesome! Several people have said they use that stadium for random things throughout the year like cheer competitions and such, so it seems like they’ve dubbed it an “extra” stage. Kind of a bummer, but we get it!

Did you know you can send post cards at the owl post or even just get it stamped. At least you used to be able to when I was there a while back. Also it may be a bogart in the trunk in borgans

Hogsmeade has a spot by Honeydukes. It looks like an employee walkway (and it is), but there are a couple cool Instagram walls back there and it's pretty quiet. Also...Suess Landing has a spot kind of in the back...walkway that has a couple low arches. You can't really see what's behind the arches from the main areas, but if you duck through the arch, you can go back and sit on an egg...like Horton!

Hi my Wife and I were in the Me Ship Olive area behind the boat. It was late at night, it might of been on a OI meetup and I was in a ECV . Warning! It can get kinda confusing to navigate the area, the ramps need for the ECV are not strategically placed to allow quick in n out navigation. The stairs are , but not the ramps ! In the Darkness i had to waste a huge amounts of time to get out of the area !! Was very difficult. Had to send the wife ahead to scout for the ramps , she walked the stairs found the ramps then directed me to them. Was super frustrating for me to get out. Good thing I didn't have a emergency. Also i can walk if i have too, but couldn't leave the ECV behind.
We’re sorry to hear that!! That area of the park can be a little difficult to navigate, so we could imagine at night in an ECV. Did you leave any feedback for Universal? They might be able to add signs for ramps or something.
I heard from another Florida vlogger that there’s a quiet place on Diagon Alley. It’s one of the side dead end alley’s. I want to say that it’s by the Broomstick restaurant. Forgive me, I’ve never been to Universal Florida. Great tips!
It’s the place we referenced when walking saying that you would be in the way of workers! It’s a cool spot, but it’s a place that workers use for breaks and shift change!

Yeah, UO has tried to do things with the old Fear Factor stadium; however, because UO isn't Disney, they have to ask the county for permission to demo it...and they've been denied at every turn...
That is crazy! We hope something gets to come to parks in its place soon!
Question: Do you recommend taking a midday swimming break at either our Universal hotel or Volcano Bay? Coming from Disney trips, that’s recommended a lot, and we usually did that with our young boys. Swim and cool down from 1 to 4 and then head back to the parks in the later afternoon. I haven’t read/watched anyone talk about that for Universal trips. Most itineraries suggest a day trip to Volcano Bay instead of spending a couple hours there daily. Does it just take too long to travel between the parks and waste too much time? What are your thoughts? For reference, I’m going with my adult sisters mid May for 5 days/4 nights, staying at Cabana. Never been to Universal, and the Wizarding World is the main draw!

It really depends how long you have at the parks! If you’re there for 4-5 days or more, you can afford the time it takes to get between them. If you have three days and you’re trying to see all three parks, trying to hop between the three is a little much. Heading back to the hotels is something that a lot of people do, though! That’s more doable!
Well Volcano bay is a water park so you're cool there, but one thing we did notice was around four/four-thirty the wait times started to drop and we were able to get loads of gos on slides, which was class and the lazy river was virtually empty, it was class!
I think the last time toon lagoon amphitheater was used regularly was2010- 2011 for Matt Hoffman's aggro circus and what happened to the s'mores at Green eggs and ham
That’s interesting! We’re guessing it just wasn’t selling very well so they replaced it with some other savory tots!
So insist landing there is a little quiet place in between 1fish 2 fish and circus McGurkus next to the restrooms is a small quiet place in some shade. And in hogsmead go behind hogs head.
Oh there are absolutely more places than this, these are just some of our favorites!
