I remember for years going nuts because I couldn't figure out how Cookie Monster's googly eyes worked, then finally getting a chance to see the puppet up close (there's one on display down at the Center for Puppetry Arts in Atlanta), coupled with the birth of HD cameras, I nearly kicked myself because it was so obvious.
😂😂😂
Haha this is literally me watching this video XD i could never figure it out!
big thanks- I have kept an unfinished cookie monster in my garage, waiting till I could figure out the best way to make the eyes. Now I will pull it out and finish it
Wow, THATS how they did it…for some reason I always thought it was a little more complex lol
Like cookie monster eyes
❤️
Wild guess... you were making an effort to not call it that.
@@erikolsen148 excuse me, what do you mean?
I was replying to Adam, sorry. It seemed like he was making a deliberate choice to not say “Cookie Monster”.
I wait so many years you to make the Cookie monster eye 2 years
❤️
Same here!
Thank you for sharing, I never realized how simple it is to create googly eyes👍🏻
Happy to help!
Thank you Adam, especially the links in the description, I’m slowly building my puppet lab bit by bit. Next month I’m getting the punch.
Happy to help!
my 8yro kid loves puppet eyes like this thank you
Love this, totally going to use this. If you were to only put the hole threw the plastic and let the velvet be over the top it would hide the ‘little nail’ completely, Just a thought. Thanks for the great video!
I love your puppet tutorials! I’ve used the techniques for the puppets on my show! Thank you!
❤️❤️❤️
Me too!
He looks so cute 😱🤪!!
"Woow ...Cookie Monster Eyes 👁👁"
Thank you🙇♀️, Adam!!
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I was so curious how cookie monster's googly eyes work. Thanks for revealing the secret
I love the googly eye for that monster puppet!
Im going to make a Gritty (Philadelphia Flyers mascot) costume so this will help thx
Awesome easy but good looking advise. Thanks Adam for the content
Thanks!
Gracias Adam, eres un gran titiritero. Me has ayudado muchísimo con mis títeres
By slowly drill he means drill at full speed😂
😂😂 I guess I meant to push slowly.
Adam Kreutinger Too funny😂🤣
Adam Kreutinger I really enjoy your videos. They help me a lot! I actually made a pretty good Kermit puppet that I posted on my instagram. Thank you!
@swift_ninja_king
@@docboy668 nice. I love Kermit
cooooooooookie moooooooooonster!!!!!!!!!!! he's always been my favorite! i've always wondered how the googly eye worked.
:D i made a dust bunny for a friend with a uvula that was supposed to drop down, but darn it, it stuck sometimes...!
you and your works amazing thanks for sharing
Hi Adam, i realy like your videos, thank you very much for helping me in a hobby.
Dis dood underrated-
❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
Amazing adam your the best
What about making a sack puppet tutorial? You haven’t done that yet, and a tutorial on how to make a snout like Cookie Monster!
I have done a sack puppet video. czcams.com/video/Ya5fbsVEeOk/video.html
Hola, soy de Argentina y gracias a ti me estoy haciendo varios títeres
Great advice in this video!
Thanks! Which part in particular did you like?
❤️❤️ thanks for the tips man!
Happy to help!!!
Finaly I can make cookie monster
Drill bits that model railroaders use would have worked to drill that hole in the eye.
You should add this to ALL of your puppets! Like...... especially if they have some sort of episode of drinking a highly caffinated/sugary drink. And then switch back to their normal eyes for the scene when the sugar/caffeine 'high' wears off. You can take it a step further, by just making a set of different eyes, that you can simply design to be interchangeable for your puppet. You can have eyes with either stationary or moving spiral patterns, or even eyes that light up on the inside (with LEDs) like diffused lamps. Kinda useful if you have puppets that might have superpowers or a dual/secret identity in a story.
❤️❤️
Fantastic Video! 👍👍👍
Thanks so much!!!
That’s it you win, your my hero
❤️❤️❤️❤️
I think it would be cool to do an ear mechanism, a elbow rod, or a walking stage puppet with straps on its feet so you can walk with it
I’m on it!
More puppetry performance tips please! Previous video was great!
Coming soon!
I will never make this, I'm not a puppeteer, but I enjoyed the video nonetheless 😁
Thanks!
Awwwwwwesome
I cam here becaouse I didn't undertand how the googly eyes of the latest good mithical morning episode's guest's (the actual cookie monster) eyes worked. I though of springs of magnets, but this is much simpler and better :D
Awesome video
Thanks!!!
Adam Kreutinger your welcome
So cool. Many thanks. :o)
Thanks!!!
Haha awesome ty
Tamiya makes drills small enough. (I'm not sure where else to find them - but we use them on model airplanes and the like - they'll fit a needle for sure) As a note, Excel also makes small drills, going down to .039 mm, but they're more expensive. (having an actual drill bit will help with the safety issues, though)
You are the puppet master
❤️
😊
I like if you would make a video on an easy lever for a puppet like the boxes have in Ave Q?
I’m on it!
If you put the piece of pin you cut off into your drill point first, the cut end works like a flat blade drill bit. hope this helps.
That would work. But not necessary.
how do you make eyes move up down left and right ?
Binky is just hearing this in the background
Lol
Lol
Should get a pin vice and some fine bits from local model shop instead of a needle and drill. Much easier.
what is the name of the fabric used to make the puppets?
genial!
???
@@PuppetNerd Brilliant idea!!!
Could you please try to show us how to make a spring loaded mech using the same one from the last vid?
Just ass a spring! It’s the same thing!
🤔
thought they were weighted eyes inside of glass balls- soo much more simple, zomg
always wondered how this was done
🤔🤔🤔🤔
:O yeah it’s your puppetry tutor
❤️❤️
When will you make a new video about puppeteering?
Hopefully in the next two months.
can you do a video specifically on shoes?
What kind of shoes?
well i saw in your background you have that little green guy and he has like little red shoes
If you’re looking for small drill bits czcams.com/video/Y44Y-3CtrkQ/video.html - Gundam drill bits .
1:58 I can see binkie in the background!

Gheheheheheheh 8:19 😆
😂😂😂
I wonder what it would be like to create a puppet as a bird (if any bird why not a duck) 🦆
I’m planning a duck build soon!
how?
The other video with pinky screaming.... that’s me with needles......
😂😂
Hey didn't he have dome pupils
Yup. But that doesn’t affect the movement. They didn’t use pins either. They used screws. It’s the same technique with different materials.
Who liked hi old eyes
❤️❤️❤️
Google glasses wants to know you’re location.

"In the puppet world".
I am now realizing that there is probably a community of freaks making thousands of puppets and getting angry at each others and making drama and hating on other freaks.
Internet was a mistake.
Does this puppet have a name?
Shakes.
Adam why are u doing this STOP TORTURING THE PUPPETS MAN
I not sure what you mean?
Quite ripping off part of the puppets there in great pain
Oh! Lol😂😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️
every puppet needs googley eyes. to whatever degree any puppet is not identical to cookie monster, it is a failure of a puppet.
