Ideas for my next 2 videos: one on *"the dark night of the soul" (spiritual depression)* and one on *how microdosing actually treats depression and anxiety* . What do you think?

People don’t understand that catching yourself getting distracted is the whole thing with mediation. You may wander off for 3 mins before you catch yourself, and with more practice you will start catching yourself drifting a lot faster. Keep up the great vids Julianne

As a seasoned mediator with decades of practice, I suggest using a mantra when having any difficulty meditating.Thoughts will get in your way if you try to meditate under stress.A mantra simply replaces thought with a sacred sound. We don't need our thought flow to control us, and we are not our thoughts.Meditation daily and micro dosing mushrooms, are the best things we can do for our mind and body.

Um what you were kidnapped!!? Definitely want to hear about that! I also need to get to a more regular schedule, very sporadic at the moment. I'll definitely keep these tips in mind. I find that bringing the background to the foreground is quite revealing and causes a different type of awareness which ties into catching yourself and being aware of the present.

I like the part where you state that you don't have to be either a zen master or a normal person. I feel that you're on point with the notion that we can be distracted at a point and then bring back our focus. It's ok to get off track, the goal is to re-center. I appreciate the tips and I'm definitely going to start meditating.

Thank you! Just released a new video today about meditation too :) and I have another one in the works about using mantras. It basically just replaces your stream of thoughts with a sacred sound (doesn't even have to mean anything). I've been enjoying this type of meditation as of late. GL

The combination of a meditation practice with psychedelics is something that interests me immensely. I'm only just getting started on my microdosing journey with psilocybin mushrooms, and I'm hoping to reignite and stick with the meditation routine that I once practiced.
I realize this video post is more about meditation practice in general, but I'd love to find more topics online about bringing together the two healing practices of meditation and microdosing. Plenty of discussion out there about the benefits of a meditation practice versus the benefits of psychedelics, but I've yet to come across much worthwhile insight on the possible benefits of meditation in conjunction with a micro to low dose of psychedelics, and having one's intention during a low dose trip be... to 'go beyond' the emptying during a meditative state.
I'm enjoying your channel very much...
    Appreciate the sharing and honesty...
Wishing you much continued success!! 👍

Biggest challenge is not replaying in your mind the endless “worse case” video of what may happen in a future state and this for me is what mediation and The Power of Now is all about...can’t fix the past, can’t predict the future, you can only live for the Now.
Something I’ve been doing lately which sounds so simply, yet so profound: whenever I start beating myself up about something and start ruminating about crap, I just count the number of negatives in my life vs positives and quite often the count is like 1 negative to 10 positives. So basically, less worries and a more positive attitude throughout my day.
Final thought: I just discovered light therapy and no better way to spend $30. 30 mins a day in front of the light while having morning coffee and much better energy though out the day and less negativity.

It was hard as I slipped into so many thoughts but I took your tip and I brought myself back in to self awareness and listened to the birds chirping. I tapped into the background noise and that was extremely helpful. Thanks so much, Julianne!

I forget how embarrassingly close the other side is; the side that can be opened up with meditation. -Raise your hand if you're guilty of forgetting this...my hand is up!.
Gosh, getting caught up in feelings of despair from worldly stuff can indeed fog up the spiritual lens. I have to remember that WE CAN detach without disregarding the pain the world is experiencing, and come back a more useful being to ourselves and others.

Rereading your comment again today was just what I needed to hear! I've moved (so the setup is different/not complete)... filmed what would've been tomorrow's video at least 5 times over 2 days... kept running into technical issues (audio hum, battery going off) -- it just seemed like the universe wasn't on my side (it rarely is... you're supposed to just surrender). In the end I decided that what I needed was a break to properly settle in, instead imposing harsh deadlines on myself. You're so right - how close the "other side is." Sometimes we tap into by choice, sometimes we are thrust into it after tireless hours of trying to "will" your desired reality into existence. /rant. And ... thanks for listening :P (and commenting)

oh, technology and how us users of it are at the mercy of its little bugs when they arise. ... psychedelic thought alert: it amazes me how it evolves with societies intentions for it's use; it's like a prosthetic extension of ourselves that we use to communicate, express ourselves, get things done and explore our world and collect information and transduce it into something that we can comprehend (to our own human understanding...so weird 🙂.
Looking forward to your next video. Hope everything is going smoothly at the new place!
