1. Have decent crossbow
2. Ride a Sarco, or Rhynio
3. Shoot from saddle of tame
4. Fish doesnt torpor run, so just keep tanking it and shoot

i did it with a baryonyx. they heal fast with the blood rush thing so as long as the dino has a good health and saddle its easy. bary stun helps separate and kill the others.
Why not a basilosaur?
@@23Raind can't use weapons while riding a basilo. also it's too slow to kite if you just want to stand on it and whistle it to move away from xipha. At least I think it's too slow, I've been on SE since it launched so I wouldn't know for sure.

Started with sarco, then the fish beached itself. KO'd it on land.

Nice job Steve.. glad you finally got em to spawn! Ive been using a Baryonyx... use the tail stun as often as possible and just keep shooting with narcos. Helps to have a good saddle, tanky Bary, and / or an ascendent crossbow, but.. can work with vanilla.. as long as you have enough health on the Baryonix. Never had one run on me yet.. although I have had them take a break from being distracted.. but a quick pop in the butt with a tranq arrow usually gets em hauling back at me.

The required cryo fridge and generator to throw out a pod is what has killed the game
Ah yes because crypods were always a thing lmao. The new cryopod system is way healthier, it's just that we're used to how absolutely broken they were on ASE.
You can highlight a bunch of huge problems about ASA, but the cryopods aren't one of them (even then, if you want op cryopods just use a mod).

i learned that the hardest thing about taming the nibblers are their ridiculously high torpor
i saw a max level with my awesome spyglass and the thing had like 15k torpor, that's 3 times more than a mammoth of the same level
so if you're using tranq arrows and a crossbow that deal lets say 300 torp including letting it increase for a couple secs after the initial burst
that would mean a max level would take around 50 arrows to KO
that is ludicrous for a mid tier creature that you can ride before a beaver
its a real good thing that they don't run away and you can just manhandle them to sleep with a tanky enough sarco and plenty of tranqs

I just hop on a turtle and shoot from the saddle while the Xiph swims around it - it stays agressive until knocked out. Throwing out something as a distraction (tuso or basi) also helps
I use a baryonyx to tame them i stun them into the trap alot easier

@@Sleepymike91Probably, but it will let go of you eventually. Just have good armor and Lazarus Chowder active instead of relying on a flimsy Scuba Tank for Oxygen.
Plus you can stun lock the Xiphactinus with the Baryonyx anyways, so you may not even need to tank anything. I believe that the Baryonyx also can perform the stun by itself, though you need to tell it to immediately stop attacking once the spin is done or it will bite the fish as the spin is in "cooldown" (there is no real cooldown, but the AI is programmed not to spam this attack).
Honestly there's an easier way to do it. Use one of the amphibious dinosaurs like sarco, kapra, or bary, and so something similar, except instead of a sign at the end, continue the sides to the shore. Draw agro and just run through the trap and onto shore, then around and pop the gate in at the entrance, or close it if you already installed the gate. This way not only is there zero change the toothy fish can glitch through the sign, but you can even set up a shack on shore to have narcos stored up, plus your generator and cryofridge if you're on official doing this.

I have tamed it with a baryonyx. The bary passes through double door, while the fish doesn't, so it's easily trapped.
Can tuso grab it? This will definitely be the best way to tame it, although somewhat time consuming
I wonder.. I have done absolutely everything else possible except the dino wipe on my single player save, and no Arcos have spawned on my map even once. Fasos do spawn pretty well and almost everything else. Haven't seen a single ovis and only 2 megatheriums so far. Also at one point there was literally 0 yutis on the map, but that got fixed after I caused some local extinction events in the mountain ranges with my wolfpack
I call them magikarp cause during its first trailer appearance in evolved it used splash on Savage Acro
If you have a Rhyniognatha all you have to do is sit on its back and shoot the fish with a crossbow and tranq arrows
What happens if you are not in the water again and the timer runs out?
i find them stuck on the beach all the time to tame... ahhh ark
If this fish does run just make a bigger trap go in with a Dino that can tank and then it can’t torpor run out and you won’t be stressing about some super difficult trap clutch play
I spawned into my underwater vacum base and one grabbed me through the wall and killed me.

Good video as always :) I have been debating on getting ASA on my Ps5 Slim, mostly for single player. I was wondering if anyone has tried it, and how it performs on the console, as I played ASE on a PC. Trying to ask here since I mostly get mixed responses from checking forums etc. :D

R.volumetricfog 0 will remove all fog and makes it crystal clear underwater

Y’all making taming them super extra all you need is a basilosaur and have them chase you up to the beach once they’re inland they become incapacitated and all you need to do is knock it out .ps don’t use this methods near birds they will kill your potential tame shot them
Oh dear, cryopods just won't deploy out of the short range of a cryo refrig. So far this isn't going to be useful by most new players.

I have decided to delete ark ps5 untill they optimize it I’m tired of playing ark at 25 fps and I really want to play even if they can only get to 40fps as long as it stable

Not going go question the trapping... It seems solid.
BUT
Isn't it better to just let the dolphin take some hits as you go around and place the gate or whatever? You can easily tell the dolphin to follow you out of the trap instead of riding it after the deed is done.
And if the dolphin dies... Well, it's just a cheap mount you lost.
Have they fixed the single player save issue on xbox yet? Last time I played after scorched earth released it was still a thing.
Is ark still a good game
if you like the entirety of old ark(horrible preformance, bugged maps and etc.) then yes

Thats a deep question, you get used to the better graphics after a few months, it feels like the same ark to be honest
A few differences, looks better and runs better.
Depends what platform, and what game mode. Awesome PC and good server; it's good. PS5 SP; 10fps, constantly crashing, falling through map, etc.
