    Great, informative video - thanks
    I like the idea of the limiter as it can be difficult trying to stay under 20mph.
    Assuming with the cruise control there is a third option (like the previous model), if you need to get from 40-60, rather than tap multiples of 5 on the cruise control button, simply just accelerate to required speed and re-set the new speed on the cruise control button? Appreciate you are demonstrating functionality of the button though, so it wasn’t mentioned. Keep up the good work, looking forward to the next video. Audi should have your videos embedded within the options part of their website!

    • @CRD90
      @CRD90  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks buddy! Yep you're spot on you can increase the speed with the accelerator and re-set the cruise control.
      Definitely agree doing 20mph sometimes feels like walking speed lol so it's easy to go over.

      @CRD90  Před 3 lety +1

      Thanks David 🙂 be sure to check out our delivery day checklist before you collect your car.
      As for the pillars, it's hard plastic but not hollow, you can actually pull it back to run cables down the inside of the pillar (I did this for the dashcam install)

    Another really helpful video Auzzam, thanks, you've demystified the cruise control/limiter. Whilst writing this I see from the Audi Configurator the Lane Change Assistant seems to have been dropped completely. Also, by way of feedback to others, I'm sorry that I didn't get the Driver Assistance package as I regret not having Active Cruise (standard on the new Golf) and the Traffic Sign Recognition as Audi has excluded speed limits from the satnav display, no doubt to encourage you to buy the Driver Assistance Pack. I suspect Traffic Sign Recognition will appear in the Audi Extended Functions Shop as a download feature but will be expensive.

    • @CRD90
      @CRD90  Před 3 lety +2

      Thanks Paul,
      Helpful advice as always. Yep I do think they are being cheeky with the speed limits. It should be there according to the manual but the way they have got away with it is by saying if your car is fitted with the camera then you need the driver assistance pack.
      Now nearly every A3 regardless of trim has the same cameras used by the driver assistance pack so that why they can disable it.
      I wonder how much they will realistically end up charging???

    Great video, love the content! I have a question about an issue I’m constantly facing in my Audi A3 Saloon, it’s brand new and has only been driven for 2 days now. In the last day or so, at random times the mmi would just cut off and display as if it’s signing into a user and “loading personal information”. It’s quite annoying as I use the sat nav and music and it just completely turns off everything for around 1 minute then goes back to normal after. Any idea how to fix this?

    • @CRD90
      @CRD90  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey bro, thanks for the support and for subscribing!
      I had this same issue last weekend, I lost the sat nav for 30-40 seconds and then it rebooted remembering the route I had programmed.
      I do know they are working on a fix for the mmi issues. Some of the carplay ones have already been addressed.
      The latest version is May 2021 according to the Facebook groups so I would say get it booked in to your dealer to update.
      Also try get it in writing bro, as if the car keeps giving you issues you'll have evidence to back everything up

  • @chrisaawalker
    @chrisaawalker Před 3 lety +1

    Good to add that if only temporarily cancelling cruise control, by using the brake or a flick back on the stalk (as opposed to all the way back), you can re-engage at the original set speed eith a flick toward you. Vehicle will just accelerate back up to cruise speed. Good for having to slow down for traffic as you say, but without having to reset everything each time.

    very useful videos, Thanks I have one question: my new 2023 A3 SLine my Cruise control is not keeping the set speed on a downhill or going up on a hill. I set the speed at 60 kmh and on a downhill it goes 5-10 km or more up and if there is a police I can get a ticket for it. Any idea what to do?

    • @CRD90
      @CRD90  Před rokem +1

      Thanks! Usually downhill will always increase in speed. That's because the cruise control cannot physically apply the brakes.
      Your rate of acceleration down the hill is quicker than the car is able to reduce. Hopefully that makes sense, but it's expected behaviour.

    I just got my 8Y today (first time Audi owner after having moved from BMW). So is the speed limiter controls set in the same ways as the cruise control? But essentially once you press the LIM button, it prioritises limiting the speed not cruise control?

    • @CRD90

      @CRD90  Před 2 lety +1

      @@sati9542 depends on the mileage you'll be doing. The tfsi engine is great but the mpg will be less if doing motorway journeys etc.
      Also I'm not sure I'm a fan of the diesel noise myself, so depends if that's an area you want to factor into the decision too.
      Ultimately both types are fine, it just comes down to whether you'll experience the saving associated with diesel, given that it's usually a bit more expensive to buy upfront and currently the fuel prices are significantly different too.
