Brian setzer truly is one of the most under rated guitarists there... he's never in the top ten of any of the "lists" however he truly is a gifted musician and monster player.
Was well past my prime when these guys hit, but I’ve always loved their sound. VERY underrated!! From early 'Stray Cats' rockabilly and right up to Brian Setzer's big band sound... love it!!
WOW! I grew up listening to the Cats on the radio -- now that I am in my mid-40's AND STUMBLED ACROSS THIS VIDEO FOR THE FIRST TIME - WHILE I WAS HYPNO IN A CZcams VORTEX - I have a new found RESPECT for this band -- Hats Off to you Brian and Crew! TALENT TALENT TALENT - WOW! Wish I would've 'got it' sooner back in the day!!
You got that right, I saw the Stray Cats one time I think it was the Built For Speed tour. I had all their tapes. Then when CDs came out I bought all their CDs along with the Brian Setzer Orchestra.
Brian S is way underrated as a guitarist, kind of looks like social distortion stole their look. These fellas are great in concert, but yeah great musicians.👍
Not gonna say that this is the best version of this chestnut ever done, or that the best bluegrass pickers are going to stand up and take note of Setzer and crew, but FFS....give Brian and the lad full credit for paying respect to the original shredders.
I never knew Brian dug bluegrass but, then again, he's always lovably unpredictable, and that's what I've always liked about him. He just turns this tune inside out! I just wondr what he's gonna next!
To Pavel Zajec That is a Deering Crossfire banjo. They have actually been around for quite a while. If you really want to see one in action listen Bela Fleck and the Flecktones.
Whole new level of musical respect right there.
Love the banjo

He should be in the top 5 on every list.
k he’s incredible but not close to a top 10
He's quite the bad@$$ with a banjo in his hands.
He’s great but not even the top ten of Rockabilly guitarists.
He is one of the best.

Are you 90 years old?
Brian Setzer is a gifted musician.
cricketbat09 - 100% agree.
...on guitar.
This, THIS is why we have CZcams. So we can see some obscure shit we would never see otherwise! I never even knew this existed. Thanks!!
I have followed Stray cats from way back and I have never seen this, he is totally awesome.
Setzer is a skilled and gifted talent
What a beautiful musician. Loved the Stray Cats, and adored Brian Setzer Orchestra. He never disappoints
Back then even people who weren't 'proper musicians' were proper musicians.
Well said 👍
Holy Crap! Brian is great at whatever he wants to do!

Rock-a-billy Rules and these guys are the epitome.
I remember when The Stray Cats came out of no where like a storm. I loved them. It was like Chuck Berry was reborn as a rockabilly artiste. Rock on!
One of the greatest three-piece bands that ever came out of America in my opinion.
This is rocking'. The bass is amazing on this one.

I love this music, in the 80's I looked & dressed like Brian,53 tomorrow... Grandad with a job these days.
Makes you want to hop in the car and drive it at high speed across a field.
The Paladins put on a charged-up, hour-and-a-half show with the same stripped-down combo Brian fields here on stage. Magic, both of them. Wow
Fantastic banjo playing I have ever seen in my life.
Brian Setzer is great . Bluegrass is great. I did not expect to see them together. Great banjo work.
