Damn Tuvok got disarmed so easily and Seven turned her back to him and he still did nothing
I wonder if Tuvok guessed her motives and allowed her to disarm him.
@@irregularassassin6380 the nerd in me hopes she just used her borg super speed to do all that, they just slowed it down so us regular humans could see lol
@@markgoggin4776 he would be able to interpret Seven's actions as not hostile toward him... yes she took his phaser, but immediately turned her back to him (being vulnerable to a Vulcan neck pinch, among others) and aimed it at where he wasn't perceiving anyone to be (or any critical systems). Being logical, he opted to observe what she was trying to do.
@@brianbeach3024 at this point in the series 7 has only been onboard for a month or so. I’d imagine Tuvok would still have reservations towards her and wouldn’t just sit back and let the situation unfold. Like 2 episodes prior she tries to contact the collective and escape.
I know. Lame to a TOS guy, good as these later STs are. I missed all those hilarious, male-oriented fights especially with Kirk involved. Would really be better if it got down and dirty once in a while . .
On the one hand 'why would tuvok have protocols in place for cloaked intruders'
on the other: those saurians that infiltrated voyager with phased cloaking.
It really is surprising tuvok hasn't come up with some kind of protocol either communication or a full blown proceedure. And that realization that he dropped the ball probably hit him hard in that moment because this thing happened before.
After this was resolved and the new threat vector identified, Tuvok probably had 12 new procedures developed within 24 hours and was drilling Security within 48.
A training program for such a contingency would not be consistent with the Dictates of Poetics by T'Hain of Vulcan
At this point Seven had only been onboard for a few weeks. makes sense she doesn't know this yet.
You people have no idea what you are talking about.
Jeri Ryan was one of the most beautiful women on Star Trek.
Damn straight
Have you seen her in ST Picard?
She looked as stunning as ever.
@@pastlink98 she's still looks amazing!
yes but more importantly she showed she's a genuinely talented actress in the episode where she had to act like she was the EMH, or the episode where she manifested multiple personalities from the borg
One of?
**genuine curiosity** I certainly can’t think of anyone more stunning, can you?
@@Z7Sakari
Jeri Ryan takes the #1 spot for me but there are plenty of honorable mentions
T’Pol and Yoshi from Enterprise
Troi from TNG
Jadzia Dax from DS9
These women are lovely but Jeri’s character is the be all end all for me.
You have to admit she's stunning.
First to comment: The Doctor looks great in Leonardo da Vinci's costume :)
I think so too!
@@April-dv2pb Same here too.
"This ends now." Maybe one of Janeway's best ever lines and my favorite line of this episode.
I LOVE this episode, one of the best Star Trek episodes ever. I own the prop the EMH used on Seven to alter her ocular implant, I won it in the IAW ebay auctions in the mid to late 2000s. I'll record a short video and post in my channel later today. LLAP
*glances at channel* so whatever happened to doing that video...?
Season 4, episode 7... the whole "reengineer the show around Janeway, Seven and the Doctor" thing happened pretty quickly.
I always loved how Janeway was PIIIIIISSSSEED off when they brought this leader of those aliens to see her on account of the constant migraines they had been giving her to see how she'd react.
Some of Kate Mulgrew's best acting on the show.
These two were such a great paring.
Yeah lets fly between a binary set of stars.
I enjoyed this episode.
The best Voyager episodes were excellent Star Trek
Jerry Ryan took Seven from being hired Eyecandy to being an awesome character (similar in many ways to what Jolene Blalock did with T'Pol).
Seven: I am engaged in a task for the Doctor.
oh well that's all right then
Seven getting "probed" in the turbolift...🤯 0:23
I can't believe they left that line in the episode!! 🤣🤣🤣
This is my favorite Voyager episode.
"In the turbolift one of them probed me with a medical instrument"
7 of 9 pressed the " finely tune " button on her phaser
Great show
One of Seven's best badass moments in my opinion
Seven was the hero teenage me needed and deserved... ;D
She and the Fapmaster 2000
I swear Jeri went from strawberry blonde to bright blonde from her debut to Endgame
i still don"t understand how her hairstyle works
though being more comfortable as drone she would probably have just shaved it for a while... not that chauvinist Janeway would have ever allowed such cultural expression
@@vsync Seven herself would say
this discussion is IRRELEVANT.
Tuvok immediately leaves knowing she’s not listening. She’ll listen when he lets her know he’s about slap her ass down! Just wonderful writing.
One of the best episodes EVER
This episode is one of the best explanations of demons I've ever seen
"I am certain she will have questions for you." That's an understatement!
Probably my favorite of Seven's outfits, though I'm also partial to her blue and grey one.
Didn't she also have a cranberry colored outfit or a deep grey?
The Srivani was a disturbing species. Medical experminents on the crew they can feel but not see. Wow
7 of 9 being probed? I find this intriguing and stimulating.
One of my favourite episodes
Heheheh. 7 of 9 was all like “Eh fuck it” and chose violence. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Definitely a favorite episode of mine
Fantastic character.
What an awesome show, and next gen, remember when he first met Q, I'm like Holy crap he's got some powers 😲😂
When they first met Q? Wasn't that in the first episode already? ;)
The multiple layers of failure as head of security.
1. Stopped all communication to personally travel to someone you suspect of tampering.
2. Allowed suspect to take your weapon, with zero effort on your part to prevent them from doing so.
3. Just sat there and watched them act afterwards, silent and obedient. Refer to issue #1
I mean, jeeze Tuvok ...how are you in that professional position when you basically acted like it was your very first day? This would be grounds for demotion, and a whole lot of ridicule behind his back of people making fun of him. So embarrassing and unprofessional. Even Worf would have done a better job, and he has about a 10% success rate with engaging intruders.
Nothing compared to the criminal charges that should have been brought against Janeway!!
That was an awesome episode.
Seven of nine a stunning example of the feminine form at its finest 🥰
Damn right - obviously another man of culture - welcome.....🤣
Yes, Yes, Yes.............I have ALWAYS wanted to probe Seven in her turbo lift.
3:07 - 3:20 (Seven grabs one of the alien scientist and holds her at gunpoint)
Seven: "Don't move! If your people attempt to incapacitate me, I will kill you!!"
(Alien thinking: "Hmm! Given the likelihood she would either vaporize or assimilate me, I'd better comply!!)
Alien: "I believe you! What do you intend to do now?"
I always imagined she would break its neck with her borg enhanced hand
The aliens gave up too easily, killed the realism of this episode.
They were not prepared or trained to deal with any resistance. They were only scientists not soldiers.
@@mrfrenzy. That's what I thought as well.
Eh, they were cowards with a lot of power - seems fairly realistic to me
Can't blame them for probing Seven.. thought ran across my mind once or twice myself.
Oh look, it’s the Doctor AND Seven. Wow.
"in the turbo lift, one of them probed me with their medical instruments. And I recorded it, and will be selling the clip on my onlyfans"
you had me at Expose
This video is dated April 5 2063. Strange this video has been sent back from the future.
Tuvok instituted a covert communication procedure for situations just like this:
Seven: ''Wink, Wink, stare, look left, Wink, grunt''
Tuvok: ''Are you saying we're facing an Alien incursion'?''
Seven: ''Wink''
Perhaps 7 of 9 could have sent Tuvok a text message or some other form of high end communication such as writing him a note on a piece of paper...
Any time someone assures me I'm already out the door too.
She is Seven of Nine, tertiary adjuct to kicking ass.
I love that brown suit on Jeri Ryan.
man, that uniform is tight!
After all these years she still absolutely gorgeous 🥰😍
Those hand phasers have three buttons at max. Higher, lower and fire. Yet, they somehow manage to set them to whatever complex frequencies. 🤣
That is not true. Phaser also has small LCARS monitor. And with pressing on buttons they can set beams with different strenght.
@@greengreeneya2102 As far as I know, those buttons on the type 2 phasers, like Seven uses here, are for settings between one and 16. But complex frequencies..?
That’s one fast Vulcan.
If I were one of the aliens, I would’ve probed 7 of 9 in the elevator too.😂
Great episode.
