Coheed and Cambria never ceases to amaze me... No matter where they are in the world, they put on an epic show and rock their faces off. I'm glad I saw them live a few years ago.

Yep, saw them in Singapore, played a short set too. But there was a band opening for them that played for about an hour and a half before Coheed went on.

I just saw them at the house of blues in Vegas, if you guys thought this performance was good you would've pooped yourself at the one I saw haha. Best live show I've been to, well next to Satriani anyway.

like look, perception of art is subjective, so i'm not gonna be all like "this ain't even a good song let alone not even the best Coheed song" HOWEVER every aspect of post colonial western music leads into influencing rock n roll, and every aspect of rock n roll influences every other style of more contemporary western music. i personally think it's narrow minded af to limit your understanding, appreciation, and enjoyment of rock n roll music to a paltry 6:09 of organized sounds framed under "progressive rock". a decent composition yes, but not my proxy for the culture.

If I had to guess its cause they were playing in a bunch of places over seas so had to pack lighter gear wise since they were flying from place to place. I was also surprised not to see it.

Even though he is essentially a Rock Star, he has been in interviews saying he used to use the hair as a privacy screen, he is very shy and large audiences would freak him out. His hair is shorter more recently I think, he has been talking about overcoming his issues.

Why so many dislikes?
Why are these shows so short? 12 songs? First off they should have played the entire Afterman album in its entirety plus encores. That is just what you do when you make a double album, especially a concept piece (ahem, Lamb Lies Down on Broadway). Secondly, they have such an extensive Library, how can they only play an hour and a half's worth of music if that?
Anybody have the specific make and model of Claudio's guitar in this video..? (I know a few different manufacturers make very similar models and I don't know nearly as much as I should about Coheed). It's hideous, but Claudio almost makes it look beautiful.. 😆

Last time I saw these guys play this live, Claudio had a pregnant chick steal a dude's crutch so he could break a string during the solo, which sounds terrible out of context, but it was pretty awesome. lol

He bassist and drummer of this band is amazing....... The two guitars, n that they're not good. They're just not doing anything too especial, but can't admit that they aren't good

Are you serious? You did watch the video right? Both guitarists are amazing. Thats not even an opinion, its a fact that both guitarist are very well trained and can play their guitars very well. And this was only a taste. You should see some of the godly back and forth guitar solos they do on the willing well IV the final cut live.
Justin Wimmer I did say that "but can't admit that they aren't good", so I'm saying that they ARE good. It's just that I'm not impressed as I personally know a 14 year old guitarist that can play that and harder pieces. SO yes, they are good, but no, I'm not impressed. but then again it's really hard to impress me so ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
coheed has never been about difficulty prog anyway, its all about the histories envolved and they write the instruments to match the themes

Terry Yao There is more to music than the most complex of pieces. There is the feeling, tone and overall sound. If you listen to a lot of bands with very accomplished guitarists, they go out of their way to showcase their technical abilities they lose sight of the prize. Sometimes, less is more.
And guitar playing (and music in general) isn't supposed to really be so much about impressing people with their technical ability. I'm not down-playing the importance of practicing technique either! What I'm trying to say is if you are focusing on whether or not you're "impressed" by these guys, you're missing out. Sit back and let yourself enjoy it.
