I feel weird talking about this but since I saw a lot of Carats leaving small stories and encouraging each other I figured I should do that too. I'm living with really bad cptsd (it's been about 6 years now) and because of that I'm unable to work, my parents spend their time looking down on me and calling me useless whenever they feel like it. I sometimes feel really hopeless or even want to give up, but when I found Seventeen and became a Carat, I had a source of power. I remembered the time when my friend messaged me and I was like “Can’t talk with you rn. I have a problem” and those times, she knew what I was going through then she sent me this video saying that it’s ok and she understands me and that I’m not alone. Since everyone else is doing this, I finally have the courage to say my story too. My parents divorced when I was 9 years old and since I was young, I didn’t really think much about it. But then whenever it would be father’s day or smth at my elementary we made cards for our dads and i couldn’t give it to my dad since he lived all the way in San Francisco. I always thought that it was my fault for my parent’s divorce and I felt unhappy because I didn’t really grew up with my father. My mom is a big inspiration but she was always at work whenever I would return from school, always getting home at midnight. My brother was always in his room and never really gave me attention as a younger sister, more like a stranger. I found out about this song a few months ago and I immediately started crying. The fact that seventeen, one of my favorite groups helped me find ways to appreciate myself and told me to never give up. Thank you Seventeen, thank you.

When I feel tired of living, I come to this song, because nobody else knows except the pillow that has soaked up my tears for so many years. I think the part that got me the most is when dokyeom said ”you can be hugged by me, i am the same”. I think it really shines a light of what depression and sadness can do you which is make you feel like you alone, but in reality everyone is going through a tough time but we all just keep it to ourselves to seem strong. Normalizing being sad, crying, feeling tired, taking a break, will allow us to feel more comfortable talking about struggles and not bottle it inside all the time. Know that your not alone, someone loves you, svt always say they love us, im sure everyone in this comment section carat or not loves you. As someone who has been dealing with suicidal thoughts for 10 years (and I'm only turning 18 this year) and also has a lot of anxiety and depression issues, this song makes me feel that even if the world is against me, I can still count on SVT to make me feel a little less shitty about myself. I'm so grateful to them. I know that many of them are probably dealing with mental issues too but can't say it because they're afraid but I just wanna let them know that I'm here, I won't judge you, even if you think I will. I don't know what we (Carats) have done to deserve such a brilliant group. I don't comment around much but I felt a lot of things to actually feel the need to write here. I had a tremendously bad day. A very very terrible day and yet i managed to keep the rocky emotions in. But when Jeonghan, in his honey dripping voice, sang "I'm having a hard time", I couldn't help but sob. I expected that I would be able to lean on someone, the people I trust and love. But I got no comfort even when I (metaphorically) stretched out my hand to ask for help. Instead I was scolded. I'm a new carat and I heard this song a little while back but it still pierces me as deeply each and every time I listen to it. The fact that Woozi wrote these lyrics and so warmly thought of us is nothing short of comfort. "You can be hugged by me, I am the same." I can feel the sincerity of these words and it does volumes to a person when they know their feelings are understood and that they aren't alone. The tender way in which all the members sang this song is just uGH. I have no words. I come back to read the lyrics to this song whenever I have a bad day and I always will. I wanted to share my story. I've been suffering depression and anxiety for many years now. I've been battling this mental war inside my head alone. Once they take over me, I slowly lose interest on the things I love and the things I love to do. I start to begin isolating myself. I've attempted too many times but I still fought for it. During my entire childhood, I've grown in a controlled environment where everyone has set too many expectations of me. The pressure weighed down my system even more that I am the eldest with a broken family. The trauma and damaged impacted my whole life until I reached adulthood. My panic attacks ranged from 70-100. I slowly learned about Seventeen last year, this was the first song that I've actually heard from them. It brought me comfort when I am alone and I couldn't breathe. The magnitude of words they've brought into their songs were enough. I am truly thankful for them. I admit I am still suffering right now, it gets worst but there are days they aren't and it's always thanks to the boys. I hope they know how much they've helped and reminded me to live for tomorrow.

I'm an 18 year old carat and as I'm growing older, I'm starting to realize that I have no one by my side to hug me or pat my head and say that I'm doing well. I'm starting to hate myself, thinking that people leave me because they think I lack or am not good enough. I wish I had someone to tell me what changes I need to make to be a better person. After going through some of the comments I realized that I am not alone. Even if we are miles apart we're all connected by music. Every k-pop song have given us that feeling of being loved which was can't be given by our family and friends.
I love all kpop groups but let's be honest, svt and bts has songs that just reaches our hearts and hits hard.
at some point, I just realized why seventeen will always have a special place in my heart.

I feel weird talking about this but since I saw a lot of Carats leaving small stories and encouraging each other I figured I should do that too.
I'm living with really bad cptsd (it's been about 6 years now) and because of that I'm unable to work, my parents spend their time looking down on me and calling me useless whenever they feel like it. I sometimes feel really hopeless or even want to give up, but when I found Seventeen and became a Carat, I had a source of power. I'm now slowly working my way back into life and this song really gives me a lot of strength.

I feel you, I hide everything from my friends because I feel if I talk to them, their own wounds will get opened up or that my pain seems like a blessing to them.Just wanted to say, whatever you are insecure about, whatever you are worried about you friends and Seventeen don’t see the insecurities and they except you and want to help you like you’ve done for them. Here’s something someone told me, imagine you helping them if like you pouring from a cup, what will happen when your cup is empty? I think the part that got me the most is when dokyeom said ”you can be hugged by me, i am the same”.
I think it really shines a light of what depression and sadness can do you which is make you feel like you alone, but in reality everyone is going through a tough time but we all just keep it to ourselves to seem strong. Normalizing being sad, crying, feeling tired, taking a break, will allow us to feel more comfortable talking about struggles and not bottle it inside all the time. Know that your not alone, someone loves you, svt always say they love us, im sure everyone in this comment section carat or not loves you. As someone who has been dealing with suicidal thoughts for 10 years (and I'm only turning 18 this year) and also has a lot of anxiety and depression issues, this song makes me feel that even if the world is against me, I can still count on SVT to make me feel a little less shitty about myself. I'm so grateful to them. I know that many of them are probably dealing with mental issues too but can't say it because they're afraid but I just wanna let them know that I'm here, I won't judge you, even if you think I will.

I don't know what we (Carats) have done to deserve such a brilliant group. I don't comment around much but I felt a lot of things to actually feel the need to write here. I had a tremendously bad day. A very very terrible day and yet i managed to keep the rocky emotions in. But when Jeonghan, in his honey dripping voice, sang "I'm having a hard time", I couldn't help but sob. I expected that I would be able to lean on someone, the people I trust and love. But I got no comfort even when I (metaphorically) stretched out my hand to ask for help. Instead I was scolded. I'm a new carat and I heard this song a little while back but it still pierces me as deeply each and every time I listen to it. The fact that Woozi wrote these lyrics and so warmly thought of us is nothing short of comfort. "You can be hugged by me, I am the same." I can feel the sincerity of these words and it does volumes to a person when they know their feelings are understood and that they aren't alone. The tender way in which all the members sang this song is just uGH. I have no words. I come back to read the lyrics to this song whenever I have a bad day and I always will.

I wanted to share my story. I've been suffering depression and anxiety for many years now. I've been battling this mental war inside my head alone. Once they take over me, I slowly lose interest on the things I love and the things I love to do. I start to begin isolating myself. I've attempted too many times but I still fought for it. During my entire childhood, I've grown in a controlled environment where everyone has set too many expectations of me. The pressure weighed down my system even more that I am the eldest with a broken family. The trauma and damaged impacted my whole life until I reached adulthood. My panic attacks ranged from 70-100. I slowly learned about Seventeen last year, this was the first song that I've actually heard from them. It brought me comfort when I am alone and I couldn't breathe. The magnitude of words they've brought into their songs were enough. I am truly thankful for them. I admit I am still suffering right now, it gets worst but there are days they aren't and it's always thanks to the boys. I hope they know how much they've helped and reminded me to live for tomorrow.

I'm an 18 year old carat and as I'm growing older, I'm starting to realize that I have no one by my side to hug me or pat my head and say that I'm doing well.
