Thank you. And to be fair, it is probably the cheapest panel saw on the market. I got it from Woodcraft when I had my sign-shop. I retired and few years ago and sold almost all my equipment, but I really like having a panel saw.
It's made of cedar so you probably wouldn't have to paint it. I just wanted the house with the white picket fence. I'm working on a video about the best way to paint it.
Helpful video. Thank you. One question, I see you modified the gate but how easily would it be to shorten one of the panels? If I did this, I would probably need to shorten one panel by a foot or so.
Thank you for sharing your experience with this 'no-dig' fence. I am considering installing one myself. One thing that scares me about installing no-dig fencing is that I do not know what I would do if I was driving one of the stakes and hit a rock or root that would prevent the stake from getting driven in further. Did you run into this issue?
I did not have an issue with this. The soil in my area is 50% sand and the rest is silt and clay. Pretty easy to drive into. If the ground is rocky it could definitely be a problem.
It's more like a system than a kit. The poles come in different sizes and work with a variety of panels and are sold separately. But the fence panels do come with the hardware pre-installed.
Do you know if it’s possible to buy the “eye” hardware separate? Considering doing this myself but just building my own panels to help with cost. Thanks.
I have not seen the hardware sold separately at Lowe's and that's the only place I've seen the Yardlink fence. You might send them an email. I'd be curious to know that as well.
I'm not sure it has to do with heaving, but here's a video I made about adjusting the fence when it moves out of line: czcams.com/video/50p9uzmDijw/video.htmlsi=WRVkpcdEMwK8SpID
17 panels to make the fence and gates in this video. The parts are sold separately. I made three trips to two different Lowes stores to get the pieces I needed for this video. But their inventory was much better when I built the fence for my side yard. Probably because it was early in the summer season instead of later.
@@KatieLee0823 It makes a really nice looking fence and I've never used anything quicker or easier to build. I also like that I can easily take it down and put it back up if needed. Or if I need to replace a piece that becomes damaged.
Do you have to pull a permit to install this type of fencing system? We were quoted $18,000 for a custom vinyl fencing…Totally not in our budget. We want to fence in our yard for our dog. She is a small beagle and we don’t want to take out a loan just to put up a fence. So when we heard about the No dig fence option, we were intrigued.
I think it always a good idea to check with your local ordinances and have utilities marked. But because of the way this fence installs I believe it could be considered temporary fencing.
@@accidental_relevance thank you! I am going to call my local ordinance department and check on it. We already knew about calling 811. We actually called them before we broke ground for a garden and a couple of trees.
Well that question is a little above my pay grade 😁 But I can tell you that it survived a pretty severe windstorm last year. Here's a video of some of the damage our neighborhood received, and you can see at the end of it that the fence is still standing czcams.com/video/DllomTvIhGI/video.htmlsi=ttVmsEd9wKKfXIWy
Such great timing on the panel saw joke, I spit out my coffee.

Excellent video! I appreciate the tips and the safety tip of the cargo possibilities while driving.
Thank you. I'm' glad you found it useful.
Thank you. I am installing the same fence. Very helpful
Thank you, I'm glad you found it useful.
Super helpful!! Thank you!!
Thank you. Glad it was helpful!
So helpful. Thank you!

Waiting for part 2!

They look great, and that’s what I need! Probably have to paint or treat it.

@@accidental_relevance I want one too! I’ll look for that video!

The wood is very soft and easy to cut. So you could use a square and hand tools with no problem.

I liked your video on installing a picket fence. It looks like the hardware (poles, connecting "eyes", gate link etc.) came with the kit?

do your posts come out of the ground in winter..."heaving" when the ground freezes and thaws? Thanks!

how many of the panels did you have to purchase? was everything sold separate? Approximately how much did this cost? Thank you

@@accidental_relevance thank you for your response I’m definitely looking into investing in this for my yard

What is the wind tolerance on this type of fence?

Where did you buy this?
Lowes
OCD kickin' in? Grief, from the loading in the car PSA, to the corner level thingy, man. I hope the microwave popcorn gets done before the movie ends.
