Hey Leon. It's HoosierDaddy. I'm on my friends pc. Question for you .. Can you adjust things like sag on these |Atomic 6's? Also, Do you like the effects? I mean, I like to use a harmonizer from time to time, and delay and reverb, and that's basically it. I also will use my Bad Horsie Wah, and I can't think of anything else except maybe some compression for a clean tone. I only want a clean tone, edge of break up, and lead tone, and lead tone with a harmonizer .. Sorry for the long question, but you're the master of the modeling domain sir. :-)

Have you tried Waves Archon sim? Impulses are limited to 50 ms there, though, so it would also be interesting to test what effect IR length has on the final result and who can actually feel a difference.

Todd, do you reckon there would be a market for "simulated IR responses"? I've looked around trying to find something like this. some software to construct an IR.
Not your fault but this video shows just how incredible over complicated and frustrating it is to get a good sound from the Amplifire. I am not a sound tech, I have no idea what frequencies to cut and boost and don't really want to spend hours trying to get it right only to discover when you play this at high volume certain frequencies get emphasised and other ones lost, its too fiddle. I have this and the Kemper the Kemper is dead easy to get a great sound straight away but the Amplifire I have spent frustrating hours with but still get a crap sound I am not happy with, even though I know it is capable of great sounds. Rather spend the time playing guitar with something simple user friendly to setup and get great sounds like the Kemper(I am not a Kemper salesman)
@@LeonTodd Thanks for replying. Yes I think also if i'm correct not all the settings that are on the Amplifire are on the UI and visa versa. Just to further complicate things but this would be true for all amps and modellers is the sound will vary depending on the guitar, weather single or humbucker pickups, hi or low gain and pickup character frequencies. I feel a bit like I need to put a white lab coat on to set it up, wish I could afford a guitar/sound technician to set this gear up.lol

Such a fantastic device the amplifire. Imo feels a mile better to play than helix, cant say how far its from the axe fx

I've never had any luck with Amp sims and IR's .
Right now I'm using a Bugera 1990 and a Twonote Captor 16 .
I do like the sound you are getting .

great vid. isnt that arkhan model great? you can even get it dirty and tight enough without the boost and then clean it up with the guitar pot

The Amplifire UI is my biggest gripe with it. Sounds great but it's not as plug and play as a kemper.
