He went home later on that evening and his wife said this is not the product Robert
😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
mate.... 😂😂😂😂😂
This is now a 700 million dollar company
😂😂😂
😂😂😂
80k sales at a 5M valuation?? I’m shocked Robert didn’t ask for 33%
10000%
These videos on the channel are cut version of the actual pitch that might had been 1hour or more, so there must be more context to his decision going only 12%
A beautiful woman can make a guy do things he wouldnt normally do.
There are other investors who paid 675k. Probably the valuation was 5M then.
Or at least 25%
They need to approach AIRLINES, Movie theaters, and airports. That’s where the funk is and ppl might be willing to pay the premium in those spaces.
The mirror should be on the long side.
Yes! Why did they miss that in designing?
Price. Bigger mirror more $@@wintercame
Price but also getting the fingers on the side would leave prints
more expensive to produce on the side
Robert and the entrepreneurs both probably know the deal wouldn't close, so they took the flier without any counter 😅
That’s a great deal for those entrepreneurs. They got soooo lucky with that deal
Yeah, 80k in sales and he gave them a 2 million dollar valuation.
They sure did 👍
7:22.....Her friend gets irritated and pushes her off of her....lol
thats a funkoff
She really did. That was a "get off me" push.
Maybe because it was a “don’t celebrate too early until you hear the offer” cause I thought Robert was gonna ask for 25%
dont be parasocial..
Yeah but she still took the deal before the blonde. Shes the boss
the price is extremely ridicilous, if they decreased it to like $5 people would consider buying it but currently it's just way too high
Yea well its now a 650 million business. Supply and Demand
You have no clue, do you?
They're not targeting ooor people like you mate
@@privateemail5870 agreed. Even the pitch made that obvious.
@@privateemail5870 not poor just knows the value of money and the product is not worth the money
$22!? For a disposable toothbrush that lasts 30 uses? If you’re at work and you use it 2 times a day, you’ll use it in 2 weeks. That is insane.
It is convenient tho since women usually only carries super small bag, imo a lot of travel-size products are way more expensive because the design is more intricate and difficult.
22 is cheap glow up
Glow up bro.
This is for high-end customer in high-end places so $22 is a pocket change compare $100+ plate dinner.
$22 is cheap 😂😂😂😂 I pray you fix your finances
My biggest concern is the price point. They’re comparing it to lipstick or gum but those cost $5 or less for a similar amount of use, and they solve a problem that occurs much more frequently than food stuck in your teeth. Couldn’t imagine buying this for $22
I know right? Travel size toothbrush and toothpaste for around 5-6 dollars vs $22 for this... But it has a MIRROR!! A MIRROR!!!1!!
@@docptlexactly what I was going to say. I’d rather just carry around a travel toothbrush
But you don't, and many people don't. But they may carry this around, that's the idea. @@K_i_t
I don't agree with Mark this time, that product should be mainly sold at retail. Seriously not many people would buy it when your main goal is to eat to fill up your hunger at restaurant or bar.
Yeah some would get it but i would buy that thing somewhere first if my main goal is to funk. About the price, lot will prefer to bring a disposable toothbrush instead paying 22 bucks after eating.
There are disposable tooth cleaners that go on your hands already. But I would buy this it’s cute 😂
3.6 stars on Amazon, 20% of reviews being 1 star. Yikes. Think they were way too early. Felt like they could have improved it, sold more and then licensed their patents to Colgate or a massive dental company with the help of a Shark. A 5 million valuation was so dumb.
You’re right
You're right
You’re right
you’re right
You're right
When she screamed "Go FunkOff" at the end there, i was almost offended 😮😂
you must get offended over leaves falling too..
Same!
The issue is that the cost is still just a tad much. Those Colgate Whisps are $1 for two units. You can have like 20 of them in your car. Plus you can throw them away, rather than have a product that has your dried saliva on it in your purse or pocket.
Theres no issue there millionaires and those strips have saliva too move on
I just looked it up on their website, Colgate currently has them at $5 for a 24 pack
They're idea is okay, but the large dental companies can compete with them without breaking a sweat
@@AlAl-bk5eithey have 8 patents…no they cannot. 😊
250k investment for only 12.5% and Robert is the only Shark interested? Somethings fishy...they only had 80k in sales. 🤔
Maybe the 8 patents and etc but yeah I was expecting 25 minimum
I'm guessing they're all alcoholics
whats fishy about it..
@@reyy9220 I'm not sure why I said that
I will have to watch the video again .. if it's the toothbrush for alcoholics that drink too much red wine, like my sisters, then that's Roberts type of business partner in sales.
The two females with the tall large blonde, they can market the Funky purple teeth cleaner while drinking red wine. He'll set them up to do something they I already love doing, drinking - and they look good doing it!
That's Roberts' type of investment in the business world beyond computer tech.
I don't know why I use the word "fishy"
🐟
So you're asking a good question
❓
🤓
I just do small business. The only investors are my left & right hands....
I'll go back to hockey videos
🏒
😆
✌️
Alot happens off the screen too, these pitches aren't this quick irl
What a funky product
It's a little strange Sonia has worked at all those big shot brands, but yet the brand hasn't grown and sales are so few
she a big shot on somebody else's budget. now she has to spend her money and she dont like it
Probably cus it’s pointless to sell this online, this is like a chapstick. When you need it, you need to get it right then and there. ASAP.
Yeah, that’s what I thought too…
@@arresthillary9502 this is exactly it
And she’d know mini disposable tooth cleaners that look like a finger already exist
I carry single use floss and travel size mouthwash and it works just fine
This would be good to use after eating each meal while at work
This was that one time when Roberts wife saw the pretty talk blond and said “ Robert, this is not the right product”😂
$22 for a tiny toothbrush🤣🤣 I'd pick carrying around my toothbrush and toothpaste that I already own for a fraction of that cost every time lol I can even buy travel size toothbrushes and toothpastes if I wanted to save space in my bag 😂
Funk off is just so funny lmao
I'm rooting for this business
Wow I am surprised Kevin didn't roast them on their valuation
I've had a travel size toothbruch and paste for years. This product is such a novelty. Not even refillable? Seems funky.
that big old california unit knows how to dress, she's on a different level....private clubs, personal shoppers etc
Good job, Robert.
Robert was so nice
People with money with pay for convenience and beauty. Mark is right, high end customers are the clientele here
Happy lunch everyone
This product is genius, I always brush my teeth at work in the morning and in the afternoon, I HATE carrying around the disposable tooth brush and mini toothpaste, this is A PERFECT solution, I will be buying!!!
4:28 I like to think that Mark is eating it.
There are probably other details that were not revealed, why would Robert invest at that valuation??????
Because they're all alcoholics
Way too pricey. It's basically a glorified $1 travel toothbrush (which already has a protective case) and some built in toothpaste.
they undersold themselves
maybe if they could refill it more people would buy them
It is a good product, after eating you can use it, easy to carry around.
State the obvious Mr. obvious
I'd buy this product 100%. I hate the aftertaste of pretty much everything, but especially coffee with milk. I always carry a toothbrush and toothpaste with me. Great product.
That was an extremely generous offer from Robert. Could have easily gotten anywhere between 25 and 40 %
She said, "Go funk off!"😂
Ok. Fine. Grrrr😂😂😂
Just started but a 5m valuation for an upgraded travel toothbrush, they better not get a deal.
They need to get the price down and they need a good sales person and a good marketer! People need to know about first so they can buy it!
Good product but where it at tho??
Robert is awesome.
The whole funk and nothing but the funk.
They def blew the money on themselves
truth
They spent it designing, patenting, and manufacturing a product from scratch. Pretty typical story on Shark Tank.
Lots of corporate wine tastings for research
Mmmm
yup
Lol that was a TV ending if I ever saw one. I don't think the product makes much sense but if other people like it, sure.
All we have to do is sell this in liquor stores - that's who this is for, alcoholics
Arilines would the greatest customer. Make a smaller / cheaper one, and that preferably bristles on a side mount.
Well change the name because I can’t sell the product at my church ⛪️ potlucks 😔. 🤣 😂 frfr though.
She REALLY should NOT have screamed "Go Funkoff ! "
I hate hearing its a little too small! 😂
Oh wow I’m shocked Robert paid that much for such a lil percentage
What's Mark chewing at 4:28? He's eating the product?
isnt this also a holiday product? goes in your bag instead of a toothbrush and separate tooth paste. That at least gives you an easier route to market.
She said i love it without considering the partner
all airlines should have those.
This product needs to be in a homedepot or a petco.
For the Rich and Famous cocktail party people that get dropped off by a limo. Gotta say though, if you want to impress a date, this would be a good move...😁
What are the additives in that puppy !!
A $5M valuation with just $80k in the last year of revenue is a factor of 62.5... hahaha
5m? Maybe too sell it off and thats funky saying that
oy! that was a lack of activities
Robert's in foe more than the product. He's gonna get his funk off 😂❤
Missed opportunity, "Shark teeth are very very SHARP" and tap your head.
mark was right on point thats the way has to go about it
no way. you dont sell this to restaurants and solmeniers. 😂
I don’t understand Cubans point about the restaurants, they aren’t going to stock this and peddle it
A 24 pack of Colgate wisps cost 5 bucks and are disposable, idk about carrying a used toothbrush everywhere, it does look cool tho
Gotta love Lori! Cheers to success! She’s just the sweetest
4,000 units sold? Wow...they really got lucky.
I had a classmate that just carried a toothbrush and toothpaste to brush his teeth after lunch. You can have a small travel toothbrush and small travel tooth paste..but whatever someone will buy this lol. I'm sure they'll have to get the price down
Wow,i dodnt see that coming.....How much is the company worh now?...
$22 seems high
first time I agreee with robert . lol
whaat?.. there are amazing and cheap travel sets even from big brands. Nice little box, easy to use. This does not look like it's easy to use!
Robert probably went home and his wife was like "why tf did you buy that pos product that makes no money??!?!" 🥴
Is the svelte blonde too tall for Robert? Kim better keep an eye on this deal.
80k sales but 2.5 million valuation is insane
She has a great future from behind
5 million*
I miss Barbara, because Barbara comments😂
"This show is to help those that need help growing their businesses" yet "you don't have enough sells I'm out"
Not enough sales for that valuation for sure. They are there to invest and help grow businesses, not going to waste time on anything destined to fail.
It's a great idea put it earth the toothpaste isle and I would buy it
I’m very meticulous about my dental hygiene, but most people are not… unfortunately. Like Mark said - most people wouldn’t even think to check their teeth!!! Much less brush them during the day!
Nah
What the funk! Funk off
Chevalier du Tastevin
😂😂😂❤
Take it to a cheap lipstick factory and add brush and gel to it, they’ll figure out how to reduce cost for you significantly. Consider doing it in factory out of the US where labor cost is low like in China, India or Vietnam.
All the commenters in here can FUNK-OFF!!!😮😊
250k for 12% and a meeting later in their hotel room lol
no way they got that offer
Does mark not know that one reason is one reason? Every episode hes like i didnt like it so for those reasons im out 😂
Crest Minis or Colgate wisps are better.
This evaluation is bonkers. Why weren’t they roasted for being sooooo out of touch??
Because they're all alcoholics - I can't believe people don't see that? That is a sad statement on society..
Can't even pick the boozers out of your own crowd
How Generous was Robert.
Those wisp brushes? They're 4.99 a pack? Itty bitty
This isn’t for broke people.
At that point, they would have done a deal at 40%
Robert could’ve asked for 20%
Whats wrong with a 1C mint toothpick?
I bet the TV company/channel put up the money and told Robert to invest. With their money?
Completely bad product. This doesn't mean anything, people don't really care about the problem it supposedly solves. That's why it had low sales and that's why despite appearing on shark tank, the company is still struggling.
They are delusional. Almost blew it again
He paid for a $2.1m valuation for a company with $80k in sales and 0 profit. They got so lucky
Product name needs replaced. Needs to be refillable. Need to focus on different markets-airport club lounge is a perfect example or the expensive gift stores/high end retailers. ( a colab with an expensive purse brand to be a “gift with purchase “ would be a hit!) Definitely overpriced so need to lower their landed cost! Lots of room for improvement in this clever product.
This is insane from robert...
I agree with Robert. I’m buying one right now. I know how many times I wish I had one of these. I bet everyone here will start noticing how often they could’ve used this.
