- this an explanation of the xp deus xy screen and how it can be used, it works great for park hunting. my setting were stock basic 1 with a sens of 72 to cut down on the chatter. this screen is accessed by going into options and pressing the plus and pinpoint at the same time and then going to advanced options, sorry for the crap video I dont make them ever. good luck and i hope this helps.

That's simply AMAZING. I first saw this with the Deus 2 instructional video... I had NO IDEA Deus could do this. And now I find out it has always been there even on the Deus 1. Well slap me silly and call me Gomer. I only started watching Deus vids... cause I pre ordered the Deus 2. The more I see... the more I love it. Good Video.

my first day out with my Deus...used the XY screen for 2 hours, got $6 in change and a small gold ring. w o w
This method of hunting may not be for every one but its been great for me. I still use it all the time and i dont use the normal mode much. I couldnt even tell you the vdi for normal clad cause i dont go by vdi, but with the xy screen i can call out all the normal coinage and all the normal junk, and i can tell the between a trash target and a good target with ease. I love the deus its the best detector ive ever used, and i wouldnt trade it for 3 etracs and a ctx i just love it that much.

Am i right, that the *main* idea of the XY screen is that it allows you to distinguish good items from bad ones (e.g. bottlecaps) in the following way: good items have *straight* line on the graph, while bad ones' line is "jumping" all around the screen drawing kinda rectangulars? Thanks Mike, can't wait to try this. It will be interesting to SEE how some of my programs work. (Or why they work). PS, I like the bike, had 7 cruise/tour bikes over the years. Both bikes & MDing are nice ways to clear the head. Thank you very much, Subbed + Thumbs Up
awesome glad to hear its working for people. ive been using only the xy screen for a couple years and am still doing great with it, just got a 14k ring today on a short 1hr hunt. have a jewelry program that i made that does great with the xy screen.
Nice video. I just got the Deus and want to start playing with that X/Y Screen. Would be interested in that Jewelry Program, I want to see if i missed some at my permissions.
i use 18khz most of the time, i made my own program where mid conductors make a high tone and high conductors makes a mid tone, i keep reactivity at 3 some times 2, play with the silencer this makes a huge difference in trashy parks.

The only time i dont use the xy screen is when im searching deep, then i remove the control and just go by sound. its amazing how much more depth you get when you just go off of sound. Taking the control box off is like adding a larger coil for depth.
How do you have the Deus set up? Disc; Iron Vol.; Sens; etc. Also, can this be put on a one button check? Great Video, I will be trying this!

I was shown this over here in the UK on a Club dig on the 3rd March 2013. I tried it for half an hour then reverted back to normal mode...Since then never used it. I like my Deus in normal mode. Will I use the X-Y mode again who knows.....

Can you map the XY screen to a single button, so while detecting you can quickly check to see if it's a bottle cap? I've read the Deus thinks caps are coins so this XY is great, but not if you have to press 6 buttons to get there.
It's easy to save the XY screen as a personal setting. I do it and only have to go up one button and down again.
