As a newer player I absolutely hate “hard-to-blockables”… I just can’t wrap my head around the logic of them being in game.

It's a skill check at the high level. They're not that easy to execute
They were worse in past games. There’s something in MK1 that prevents some stuff from being too-unblockable. For example omni man dive into low Lao hat
Few can do the setups well, def a high level strat

Honestly, Rewind never should've used Reiko. That was a bad match up from the start, knowing how Sonic plays. Kitana was decent. Shao should've been picked sooner.

5:35 to be honest, Rewind had Tremor in his crystalline variation so he could’ve used the forward assist to reflect the Kung Lao hat or the crystal armor when he had enough space. It’s not the best option but it could’ve given him some breathing space.

Its crazy to me how long sonicfox has been one of the best or the best I feel like since their rise to that level they’ve never left which I think is in insane cuss like it’d be one thing to play one single game like melee or tekken or SF or something and then be consistently for years considered the best or atleast top 3 that in itself is a huge feat but to be the best or considered one of the best across multiple different games for almost ten years is legitimately insane the only players I can think are similar to that in consistency is either Tweek from an entirely different game or Rewind maybe who hasn’t been going as long and is consistently number 2 usually to sonic which still is a feat rewind is a goat and is easily for all of his career been at least top 5 if not at rare times number 1 which is insane he’s nasty but sonic is a different beast evry game they compete in almost immediately they’re top 5; im just saying I don’t know another player who’s been in goat talks for 10 years in more than 10 different games eras end but not for sonic
I want to get into mortal kombat so bad but it seems so hard to get into in this day and age people can be hella toxic and I’ve never really been good at 2d fighters but MK1 has really appealed to me watching tournaments.

@@anteatmon6160 I set Lao hat everywhere… with Liu Kang, Sindel, Shao etc… it’s very easy to get hard to block setups with lao hat, the higher ranks you go in KL and that’s all anyone is using

From the bottom of the barrel to the top 8 in evo, every single gameplay is the same in MK1. Some are better at exploiting the dumbness of/ and brainless game mechanics.
I can be a spectator in Tekken 8 low rank and never see one round that looks like the other.
I haven't played MK1 yet but I assume Kung Lao is broken in this game. :D

Yeah you’re probably right. The only way would be to preemptively start putting lanterns up. That Shao armor counter Rewind was using was pretty effective though.

Rewind had only 1 evo under his belt and ninja has only won evos later in the games life cycles when most players have moved on to other games as there mains.
