Based on what? Billy strings sounds exactly how you'd expect a dedicated acoustic picker to pick up electric and have no control over dynamics. Sloppy. Lyrics here sound like bad karaoke. Rhythm section sounds like tennis shoes in a dryer. Dead and co eat this gaggles lunch with relative ease, honestly bud.
@@blanejohnson9045 yea, nice story bro. Tell it to someone who hasn't been on the bus for 40 years. Dead and Co. has no energy. It's that easy. Bobby and JM have turned the Deads library into elevator music. I would rather see JRAD, Phil and Friends, or Billy and the kids any day.
I love quite a few GD songs but this one Might be my favorite! “Delilah Jones went to meet her God and the old never was the same again”!! That’s Dylanesque!!!!
Holy damn gonna need a couple of 10-strips to make this listenable... crazy people paid so much to see this. TAB sax man is the only one bringing any kind of real heat.
Compared to the 5/8/77 Grateful Dead version of Brown Eyed Women, which I and many consider a high water mark version of the Hunter/Garcia tune, this version from this crew sounds as flat as a can of Coca Cola that sat on the table all week long.....
Any modern version will struggle compared with Cornell, so why bother? It's wonderful that the music continues, it reads as if you would prefer the music to be preserved in aspic, rather than re-interpreted.
Billy and the Kids ain't fucking around. This shit is the real deal.
Cookin'
RIP James Casey. Incredible !!!
RIP James Casey. Crushes it here.
Kreutzmann is a fuckin' legend. When the Dead were in Egypt, Billy broke his arm; just kept drummin' anyway with one arm. The man's unstoppable.
RED ROCKS THATS A BUNCH OF ROCKING KIDS!✌👍💗
Rest easy James! A beacon of light gone too soon.
I believe it's Brown Eyed Women...because hey, there are so many.
James Casey tearing it up on that saxo!
That solo gave me tingles!
@@jameshauer8554 Love it!
Healing energy going out to him
Goddam, James Casey will be irreplaceable. 😢❤

Rest easy James😢
First Dead cover stuff in years that's really blown me away.
The music is great and it warms my heart to see the people diggin' it and groovin' in the crowd.
One of the Classic Dead Tunes. I still get goose bumps.🎶👍👓🎶👍👓
Best show I’ve ever been too. Holy cow. Super group to say the least!!
god damn that sax is so good
I always thought that a sax would sound great on Grateful Dead songs. And indeed it does!
Check out the 1990 concerts with a sax player, really good for late Dead
@@peyotegardens Are you referring to the New Years Eve show with Branford Marsalis?
the Big Man played sax back then too! Both so epic!!
Very nice work, Reed. Love this unit!
Best concert of my life I think
Blows Dead and Co. Out of the water. Billy K put it together right

Damn closest to the Dead now Dead and Company come join the more upbeat Dead we need. I need a miracle, along strange Trip it will BE.❤❤💯✌️
Rockin Billy K!!! What a band...
Love when Billy has the red hat on.......A sure sign the band will be smoking...
Thanks Reed and the Boyz!
Grateful Show
These guys seem to play a lot of Grateful Dead songs
steve, That's the purpose of this endeavor. Ole Bill Kreutzmann was one of the Dead's original drummers.
@@paullevine1813 You don's say? Which one of these guys is John Mayer?
@@bigtopsteve 😂🤣🤫

@@TheAndyAllwood yup
Oh Billy, please think about leaving that Band
I wouldn't worry he's got so much going on he can do it all . Seems not so much on this but some of the clips from Hawaii he's having a blast.
Originally it was labeled "Brown-Skinned Woman" but was considered racist
No it wasn't lol
