Having the script/outline so you could shoot sections with different cars was a really nice touch. :) One question this left me with (if you know) is how do some journalists or YTers get invited to the release events? You're now accepted for press cars, but when a new car is released some (like Raiti's) will be somewhere on-location to see/drive/video it. Any idea how that process works and is different from press cars?
So I've been invited to 1 event, the unveiling of the Toyota Grand Highlander. You get invited by just meeting people and getting invited from the PR team. This is easier the bigger you are of course, and once you get invited to one event and get friendly with that PR team, they'll invite you to more. This business is 90% WHO YOU KNOW.

Just curious, do you have to pay a membership fee for MAMA? Is there some sort of deposit needed for each press car they let you borrow? Very informative!
Yes, MAMA has a membership fee that is yearly and under $200. The benefits are worth so much more. There is no deposit for the press cars. It is 100% free to me.
One thing I wondered is if you got a car and absolutely hated it... Are you allowed to show your displeasure or would the manufacturer be cross if you did?
So that’s the hardest part. It’s a fine line to walk. Obviously I want to be critical of the cars, but I don’t want to hurt a relationship. So when a vehicle isn’t good, I try to recommend another product from their line-up. Like the Kona EV I wasn’t a fan of, but I gave reasons why the Ioniq 5 is better. I have the freedom to say whatever I want, but they also have the freedom to stop working with me at any time. I try to be critical, not hurtful. And any critiques I have are always backed up with reasoning.
How do you even begin to get cars to review? Sure I can review mine and even family's cars, but that's only a few cars. How do you get to the point of getting beyond that?

Sadly I do not. The manufacturers pick all the options, but they usually pick colors that really pop or their “signature” color

I started with friends and family, then friends-of-friends. Going to local car meets or car clubs helped out. Then I reached out to dealerships.
