  • Air Conditioner blowing warm? Not cool in your home? Well this might be the problem. Your drain line on your evaporator has a automatic turn off switch. Your system might have water to the point when the emergency hvac cut off switches are telling you AC to cut off. You often will not know.
    Pull negative pressure (vacuum) on your drain line to your HVAC system that is not working. Do not put compressed air blowing air into the drain. You do not want to blow disgusting dirty water all over your cooling systems evaporator.
    Check this out simple get your wet dry vacuum from your garage and its time to use it on your air conditioner.
    Fix the problem easy and this is often the problem
    This is good to do every year just as simple maintenance.

    90 F here at 10:00 at night and my ac was down all day. I watched so many videos and didn't know anything about what I was doing or might have been wrong. I never leave comments but I must say you guys just saved my family some money and a horrible night! I used a small marine drill attachment pump and. It fixed the problem immediately. Thanks again!

      Good stuff thanks for your comment. It is simple and you don't need a service call for something simple to try and do. Often people realize hey I can do this.

    THANK YOU!!! It is 102 outside and we noticed the air temp inside creeping up from 73 to 75 the 78 and started to worry. A quick google search and 5 minutes later my shop vac was full with over a half gallon of sludge. 10 minutes later I could feel the air blowing cold from the vent again.I bet that just saved a $200 service call. CZcams is amazing.

    A good shop vac can be of great help and maintenance to pull the dirt out of the condensate lines just never blow air up into it. You should do this yearly no matter what just good practice

    My ac unit not blowing cold air had a tech take a look at it real quick said nothing could be done but replace compressor which cost $3,000. Trying to find other alternatives

    • @Environc
      @Environc  Před 8 lety

      Okay sounds like you are in a situation whereas the tech was able to determine the compressor is locked up on the Air conditioner. Its now about getting quotes to replace vs the repair. How old is your system? Has it had many problems? Etc... It might make the most sense to change out a locked up compressor is a serious repair ask about the warranty on the repair aswell. Good luck

    • @JayLangi21
      @JayLangi21 Před 8 lety

      No hadn't had any issues it has been 9 years I do want quotes to get a better one but if that's the only option I got plus the price didn't include warranty

    Muggy out so turned on my AC and temp in home (74) is not lowering, even though I have the AC set to 68. Last year, same issue, condenser froze. Turns out, had to clean out the vents in the AC with a hose (filled with dust) and then change the Aprilaire filter, was quite dirty. Now, cleaned out AC, filter is almost a year old but not that dirty. Still not working! My system does not have those two hoses, just one big hose feed into the house, no way to pull it out and vacuum out "sludge" Any other ideas?

    • @Environc
      @Environc  Před 9 lety

      Bill Jones Yes try going up to the unit and find the hose that goes to outside and blow compressed air through it. Always keep filters clean. This will do the job if you can get to the PVC on the HVAC system
