thank you for an honest review! really appreciate it! helped me make the decision to pay the extra buck for the xiaomi m365
Glad I could help!
This video was both entertaining and very informatively done with the human touch. I want to watch it again. Excellent for rainy days 😊 and as exercise support or training video.
I suspect that the scooter can possibly be hacked slightly to shift into it's locking mode, I'm not sure but after experiencing unprovoked hesitations temporarily that is inconclusive but annoying.
Thank you :)
Hacked to shift into locking mode 😳😳😳 tell me more about it?
Nice Video like always
Thank you 🙌
Very good review, so happy I saw this before buying one
Thanks man, glad you enjoyed it!
This is a great little scooter and the zero chance of a puncture is a no brainer for me, I had a m3650 original and got a flat and I nearly threw it out it was so hard to fix.
I know many people like it for "no flats" :)
Thank you, I almost bought this today until I watched your review. It's not just a copy, it's a bone shaker.
It is a rough ride. If you read comments - you will find that many people praise the other AOVO sooter (or is it the same person with many accounts? I don't know). I need to get the other one to try.
Its a fake btw
buy the xiaomi 1s it is way better and cheaper than the m365 (rattling noise doesn't exist anymore because of the new fender
@@Fluxirya 1s has a tiny battery though..
@@VRMinde true but I've put 2000 km on mine and it still lasts pretty good
I am 60 years old and I rock the Aovopro M365 daily over some eff'd up walkways and roads. I will take the non inflate tires. I have ridden mine on semi graded gravel and limestone pack without a hitch. You guys are just wimpy! hahahaha My Aovo drags my 5'9 190# a$$ up some pretty good grades. Happy Aovo owner. PS.. Adjust the tiller clamp??? Good review.
😂 yeah, probably a bit wimpy 🤷🏻♂️
As I said - it is love or hate relationship with those hard tires :)
Thanks a bunch!
yes travis kelce drives the aovo pro on cobblestone roads...bunny hops and breaks the handles and blames the scooter lol
Get the Xiaomi. I have one, the ride quality is much better: pneumatics.
The Xiaomi accepts both types of tires. I put 50-100ml of SLIME in the inner tubes and it’s all good.
Xiaomi feels better but also costs much more :) So it is really personal choice for many...
Not having a tire pop and having to push a sad flat scooter up a hill is why i will take solid over air any day
That is everyones choice :)
Not only that, I simply can't afford to lose my means of transportation without notice just like that. What do you do if you count on your scooter to get to work the next day, and you find yourself with a flat tire? If you use it to fool around, I can understand you might take your time to fix a flat tire, otherwise I don't see how you can afford that gamble.
@@tingotalango5473 good point
Purchased a refurbished one for $200 i love it
Enjoy it :)
Damn lol, so many fake comments! I was almost about to buy this AOVO pro, thank god I came across this video. I had suspicions right from the moment I saw this product. It was offering a lot of features for this price range and other brands were nowhere near it. Also, I like your video editing style, keep up the good work bro!
I can only say the scooter works still today without any issues :) I see there is a lot of competitor fight in the comments… :)
Genuine aovo skoots are decent for the doh, had mine 3mth now an it's solid, no problems at all.
Did you buy it direct from the manufacturer?
Can you do a review video on 'Aovo EsMax' ?
With dual suspension/anti puncture pneumatic tires.
Is it any better that 'Xiaomi' or 'Niu kqi3 pro' ?
Not gonna happen soon (in a month or so) for sure 🤷🏻♂️
Hi, what about some hill test ride? Which one better "climbs"? Thanks.
It is a bit hard for me as there are no hills 🙄 but I will try to think of something
Please, advise:
I have bought Aovopro M365 with solid 8.5 tyres few days ago.
It feels bumpy.
Do you advise me to return it back or to fit a front suspension instead?
The suspension will only help a bit. I suggest air tires :)) they have only one downside - you can get a flat.
How much air tyres are smoother than the solid ones? Is there a big difference in riding?
Which scooter do you recommend to buy with air tyres?
@@mohamadrashid8931 it is a day and night difference. All the annoying vibrations are gone. There are many good scoots depending on your needs and budget mate… original m365 from Xiaomi is my personal favorite from this class..
Wich is faster xiaomi 365 or this? And it is New version aouvo pro es80 you test?
Do you have a spare scooter? Are you super fast to fix a flat tire? Or do you have such a life that you can afford to lose your means of transportation without warning? If you answer no to all three of the above questions, having solid tires is a must!!! I will sacrifice comfort any day for the peace of mind of having a dependable means of transportation...
I bunny hopped mine of a curb and the mudguard brace snapped dunno what I was expecting tbh 🤣
Haha :) these are not built for aggressive riding :)
this scooter is so good i bought 2
Glad you liked it :)
So basically you get what you paid for. I got a budget for something around this price range. $300 what other scooter would you recommend?
Basically yes, it is not a bad product. It will last ages and the price is great.
There are many scoots for similar price, some kugoo products, for instance, but I can’t tell that they are “better” or “worse”. I try to avoid the recommendations as everyone has different needs 🤷🏻♂️
10" tyres would significantly improve road vibration and rattling to prevent bolts working loose and folding mech become ineffective.
Yup, even inflatable 8.5 are much better
@@VRMinde No i have a scooter on air tyres 3 months right know i already had to change the inner tube 4 times.
@@nlgadgets4946 I had periods like that. Killing 😂 stock old m365 had terrible tyres catching every flat. Replaced them

Thank you for the comment man, it supports the channel!
I've just ordered A new one- I bought one very cheap 2nd hand Aovo Pro, used it for 2/3 week and the weld just near the recharge socket and same place on other side cracked apart and it went a bit bendy and ready to snap in half-So plenty of spares for the new one I guess ,I might even go 2WD :) I'm definitely buying some inflatable tyres for it though-I'm also thinking of taking the plastic off and using it as a template on some 4/5 mm Aircraft grade aluminium with screws countersunk into 2 rails of same thickness to strengthen it a bit more and also thinking of building GPS locators into the new one too... and now getting ideas about buying ,customizing and selling them as a little money maker. lol :)
I can see you are not short of ideas :D
It seems lot of people talk about a fake Aovo and a real Aovo. Would anybody provide a link to both versions as I couldn't find any differences? Thanks
Found the comparison
czcams.com/video/DFh4OfBI1Jg/video.html
i have the aovopro and i dont live in a big city, its a very very painful ride even on a concrete bike path
I do not like the solid tires either… many people do somehow
I tried everything with the mi 365 and aovo, aovo is much tougher and faster.
Fun fact? the rubber tyres, when new , are hard but they gonna soften after some hunderds of kilometers and behave like a normal tyre
That is interesting. I never worn the hard tires enough as I never take one of the scooters on hard tires 😅
i hit 23mph/37kph on my Aovo pro on a flat smooth surface. I weigh approx 180lbs
Good for you man :) I can only get to these speeds (almost?) with 12s battery pack on basically any scooter. I know that many of my viewers have much faster scoots than I do...
Are any of the speed claims used a gps? The video creator used a gps?
Just found one, front wheel nut came loose and the forks were bent and the cable all twisted, producing a E7 error code.
So I removed the wheel and bent back the forks and repaired the cable by opening up the wheel and rewired the cable and once back together I took it out for a ride,
a bumpy ride, but fun.
My only concern is the handle bar stem is very thin and to over come the loose screws I used thread lock and duck tape just to be safe and has not become loose since.
Love it when people make things work! Enjoy the ride mate :)
hi is there a way to get hold of firmware for aovo pro ??
I doubt it has a programmable ecu. Most likely you need to replace the controller if you want more power/adjustments
Hello, can you tell me for a girl with 1,50cm, isn't this model a little big?
Thank you
Hi, it would not be terribly large, but I would rather look for a model with an adjustable handlebar height.
I have a question, can the scooter be driven on the pavement in the UK?
No idea on UK laws 🤷🏻♂️
Hey
I think I missed that part, how much cheaper than Xiaomi this one?
This one 260, m365 380-400
@@VRMinde How do you think or it's possible change that's tires on normal?
@@valdsswed hello, yeah its possible. I have done it by drilling holes in the motor and rear wheel. One thing to note is that the scooter in the video is a fake version of the Aovo 365 pro.
I like this scooter
@@maxhoekstra9490 Hello, who betrays that it's not real? It's interesting to know that don't make a mistake when buying.
it’s better than the xaomi mi pro 2 my mates got one and i smoke him in a race and it goes the same distance
The non-inflatable tyres made me suspicious. So this is the weakest point of this scooter. But i didn't expect the shaking pole, one can make a pole dance though 😄
I am not sure but i think the classic xiaomi m365 had LG brand battery. So this could also be an important point for the quality.
Thx for this good comparison and test
I really don't know why people choose non inflatable tires. I think I live in a place with great roads, and even here it is too uncomfy for me. The original m365 has lg cells, did not cut this pack to check what cells are used. Thanks for the support mate!
@@mixedtopic There are people who want to never have a puncture and they use the non inflatable tires. The same with the companies like aovo, they “upgrade” to non-inflatable tires. I hate the ride comfort on those!
I hate inflatable tires because they can pop. It's not worth the extra smoothness of the ride for me personally
@@BaawBee it is a personal choice, great that we have both invented :)
To me non inflatable tires are a must, riding in the city among broken bottles and other debris, I can reassure you I would rather have some rattling knowing I can use the scooter tomorrow if I must, rather than having a flat tire unexpectedly, and not having a means of transportation without warning...
Can you switch the tires to something else
I believe so, yes
No, no holes for the inner tube valves.
Are you sure this is an original? I've seen some videos that there are fake ones and your's in the video looks like it's one of those. Also the link you had in the video is on the original website and is listed as selling fake scooters.
There is a company called AOVO, that has the website aovostore.com
They have brand AOVO certificates at least in the EU, China, and the US, but I'm not sure about other countries. The scooter is from them.
And then there is a company called "AOVOpro", they have a website AOVOpro and they also have brand certificates for AOVOpro scooters. So they are two different companies calling each other "fake" and making similar scooters. What is important here, that many of their scooters (I mean both companies) are knock-offs of other brands like in this case Xiaomi M365. So all of them are fake and not fake at the same time. Hope this makes sense...
2:50 - after a year of intended use mine has zero play in the pole. Abusing it way beyond what it was designed for as don ehere will introduce play obviously.
My m365 after 3 years of abusive torture and overuse still has no play :)
@@VRMinde Fair play, I guess you pay your money and take your choice. I'm upgrading to the Kugoo G3 because just now anyway. I want some suspension due to the harsh ride on the AOVO. What you think of the G3 by the way?
@@steven-vn9uiI have not tried it, the last one I tried was G2max. While kugoo always made decent scooters, the G2max was on another level. Really good quality etc. I hope you enjoy the G3 as well :)
I do like this scooter. But could do with the 500w motor in this
Higher voltage battery and more amps on the controller would do miracles :) motor is fine, I think

Just put a dollop of gorilla glue at the folding mechanism and that will shim it up

I find this review a little unfair. I love you and your videos man! I really do ❤ but this is a simple commute scooter not made for super high speed (definitely not made for bunny hops). The market they’re going for is simple commute. For students and people like myself who simply would rather scoot to work than walk a mile in the rain/snow/heat. It’s shaky, yes. But this can easily be remedied by wisely choosing your routes. You won’t get it right every time but I live in a ghetto so if I can do it, anyone can do it. There are plenty of smooth roads to ride on. If you just use this thing for it’s intended purpose being: a light and enjoyable cruise to work or school, you won’t have any issues with it. Nice of you to review though!
Appreciate your opinion mate. I review the scooters the way I ride them - I jump on and off the curbs 🙄 daily 🙄 and some scooters take that better than the others. The white Xiaomi has seen at least a hundred of hops and is sturdy as on the day one. The Aovo is not as sturdy. I do not see any harm in highlighting that
@@VRMinde You’re an absolute legend for replying bruv! I appreciate it. And I totally do see what you mean. I think though the average commuter will be afraid of a bunny hop 😭 I know I am! Hope all is well brotha thank you for being so chill!
I can fully appreciate what you are saying, I use the scooter because there is no public transportation when I finish work, at around 1:30 - 2:00 am, so to me having a working scooter that would take me back home is a must, unless I fancy walking for more than an hour... I decided to buy this one because a friend of mine bought one second hand and it was waaay better than the sh1tty xiomi essential that I got... also I moved a bit further away from downtown, and the last hill before home the xiomi essential won't climb it at anything more than 8 km/h, and I find it hazardous to stay on a street with passing cars at such low speeds.
@@tingotalango5473 the essential has a tiny battery pack, performance is terrible…
@@VRMinde it kind of works, and it's very light, but the battery is almost empty within a small distance...
I have 1 of them and u con put the speed power up to 31 kmph and its not designed for stunts it's an e scooter not stunt
It is not a stunt scooter, but if I can make handlebar wiggle in 5mins, after 6 months you will have it wiggling just from “normal riding” 99%
@@VRMinde they do need regular tightening but as long as its being used for what it's designed for ie computing it's acualy a great little machine although you are right about the solid tyres they are a nightmare and don't grip the road very well especially when wet but iv put some shocks on mine back and front and it does help with the rough ride a fair bit
yes i agree mate thats why i took them off and put tyre and inertubes on it and its well better. but i think you must have a shit one because mine does 20 mph on the flat and 24 mph not kph down hill lol
The first upgrade - tires for sure :) The speed depends on the riders' weight a lot. When I lift the wheel in the air it shows 31km/h max. And the controller say max 17A, which kind of makes it "no surprise" with the speed :)
@@VRMinde yes honest mate i fitted tyres just today and just come in this min and man the difference it makes and yes my weight is about 10 and half stone lol thats why i get 24 mph dwn hill lol😂

both AovoPro and Aovo are knock offs of Xiami. Aovopro is also a knock-off of AOVO...
9:56 Folding mechanism looks like it'll delete your life! I'm not buying this. Amazon has a few 1 star complaints that it comes off while riding & people crashed. I'd rather have a tough & hard folding mechanism that stays locked.

If two companies take a design of a third company (xiaomi) and sell on the same name, how do you define what is “Fake”
@@VRMinde Because they clone a design similar to Xiaomi. But the name is different. The fake is copying the name Aovo and using lesser quality parts than the other Aovo.
@@nunyabusiness3082 This scooter comes from aovostore.com which has the trademark AOVO and the AOVO logo rights registered in EU, UK, USA, China. The UK: euipo.europa.eu/eSearch/#details/trademarks/018346539

The USA: tmsearch.uspto.gov/bin/showfield?f=doc&state=4801:hqx0kr.2.1/90550684
This is why I think this is actually legit AOVO brand. The other one does not even use the original AOVO logo (as they do not own it), and even their website is called "aovopro". Do I miss something here?
@@VRMinde well look up In the USA Ford tractor vs Fordson. The name Ford was was registered before Henry Ford did and he the original Ford tractor manufacturer refused to pay for the rights for the Ford name and instead called his tractor Fordson. This is done today with Internet domain names. The idea is to register the names before they are taken and sell them at a high profit margin to someone that needs/wants the name for profit.
On another note are these speed/distance tests done with a gps? Because I just bought one thinking so and found out these scooters do not do aswell as the speedometer by a long shot. I am extremely pissed I bought this scooter assuming it was gps verified distance and speed. It's 2022 and everyone has gps capabilities and it should be a standard to test as such.
To the first topic, I do not know why would you call a company with registered original logo, trademark etc. "fake" and then another one without even the orignal name, tradenmark or logo "legit". Does not make any sense to me.
And on another note the speed tests I do in my reviews are always done with GPS. The provided specifications from majority of the manufacturers are wrong most of the time. They always add in a very small font that the specifications are for a person of 70kg body weight riding in almost vacuum :D I agree it should not be this way...

Hi, thanks. It is your choice mate. I warn every company that wants to send me a product that I will only share my opinion, both good and bad. I believe transparency is the way to go.
Now on the hops: 5 bunny hops and folding is already clunky. It will get the same from daily use without hops in 3-4 months. You will pull and push those bars when you accelerate, brake, hit potholes etc. What I do - I accelerate the process. I am aware it is not a scientific approach, but it quickly finds if folding mechanism is built to last or not.
Why xiaomi is in the picture? Because Aovo is an obvious copy of it. Is it not good to let the people know how a copy compares to the original product?
