Hello and welcome back to the channel!
This episode, we continue our caravan tour of the UK, as we tow the caravan from our last campsite in Shropshire to Fell View Caravan Park near Scorton in Lancashire. Along the way, Stacey has a rotten time towing, as she encounters challenge after challenge, from narrow bridges, dodgy reversing, and a water crossing!
We catch up on being digital nomads, as we show you an insight into how we make money on the road between shows, by packing orders from our website, ready for dispatch. Van life sure isn’t ever easy, but it is wholly rewarding!
Finally, we explore a local nature reserve and just take time to catch up with everything.
Enjoy :)

Who are we?
We’re Jamie & Stacey McNeill, two, 30-something professionals, who’d had enough of the rat race in summer 2018, when we quit our jobs and sold our house, in order to live full time in a touring caravan in Wales.
Our channel shows our journey living this way, the highs, the lows and everything else in between. We also use our platform to advocate to others, the benefits of living a lower stress, more balanced lifestyle.
We have built our CZcams reputation to date on honesty and integrity - you won’t find us using ‘click bait’ titles or nudity to draw in ‘cheap views’. We’re here for the long-term to show that this way of living can be a lifelong change for you as well as us.
If you’d like to make contact with us, we’d be delighted to chat with you. We read and respond to every video comment, so feel free to raise a question or anything else that’s on your mind.
Best wishes,
Jamie & Stacey
The garmin satnav you need is a lgv700 as it's for hgvs so you can put in the size of vehicle
That Garmin sounds amazing, but we are two cheap skates who can barely afford to fill the tank with diesel, let alone luxuries like that!!! However, I will save your comment for future once we've made it big in the greeting card industry! Thanks for the tip!!!!
Thoroughly enjoyed the first vlog I've watched of yours! Just subbed.😊
Welcome aboard! I’m trying to maintain a regular Saturday morning upload schedule at the moment. Feel free to ask any question you have.
Loved the video & the sense of humour on the cards at the end. Well done on the driving Stacey. Keep the videos coming.
Thank you! We try to take everything in our stride. More videos coming - I promise!
You weren’t far from us there. We hiked around there last autumn, we called it the ‘River Wyre circular’ which started at Scorton country park.
Awesome! It looks a lovely area. Whilst we’re loving doing what we are doing, one drawback is not being able to explore the areas we visit more. Not to worry, we’ll need to visit them again!
Hi guys.
Thanks for your repair vids.
Im using them to do maintenance on mine.
Cock ups and all. Lol. All the best.
Well done Stacey! I HATE narrow roads in the van, and hate reversing even more. Why that car didn’t keep coming down, I think non towers have no clue how much room we need.
Ha ha, thanks, David. In fairness, I don't think that the oncoming car could see that we had the caravan on the back. They probably regretted invited us forward once they realised. In future, I think that we will just sit tight, especially as they had room to pass us where we were stopped originally! Never mind, all part of the fun!!!
Loved the video , especially the road obstacles you overcome…well done to the mrs
She makes a lot of fuss, but is an excellent driver otherwise!
Thanks guys , loved the vid. Keep up the good work.x
Glad you enjoyed it, Gaynor! We aspire to entertain, educate and inform!
Fair play Stacey you smashed the towing! Don't think I would have been as calm! Best of luck with your new venture. Look forward to your updates :)
Thanks 👍Stacey is an awesome tower, though she does get a teeny weeny bit stressed at points ha ha!
Great Post guys. Nice to see the shop going well👍
Thanks 👍It's getting busier all the time, which is keeping us in employment, so can't be bad!! :)
Well done Stacey! What an horrible position to be in. She did great.
Yeeeeessssss.....double decker!
Love a double decker!
Just up the road from me , walked many of those fells .
Shame we didn’t have more time, as it seems a nice place to walk!
Well done fir getting there not laughed so much in ages 🙄 🤣
Pleased to have been of humour to you! :D
I fish at that site and can say that there are at least 2 far easier routes even with my Twin axle. There are a lot of narrow bridges due to the M6, Canal and Railway. It is a stunnimg area and a stunning site don't be put off turn right way earlier just after guys thatched hamlet when coming from the Preston side.
How r u?~awesome editig!see u around! buddy!
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed the video! :)
Seems you took the very scenic route 🤔 🤣 well done at least you got there 👏
It made the beer at the end of the day even sweeter! Cheers!
@@TheMcNeillsonWheels we always take the easiest route 🤣 I don't think I could cope with the stress 🤣😊 must admit we've never measured the height 🤣🤣 hope you had a fabulous time 😀
I knew it… you're out on the road with your 'van.
Yup, out on the road and getting to shows - that's our new motto!! :)
Nice driving, you will need to put a nice funny cartoon logo on the side of the van so when other cars get stuck beside you again, at least they can have a laugh at your logo, Design a few and get the subscribers to vote on the best one.
Ps I think you should write the van and caravan dimensions and weight details on a sticker, put it on the windscreen for quick reference,
Great video , thanks
Thanks for the tip! I'm not too bad when it's metric, but imperial baffles me. I have some nice big stickers in the van, so I will definitely get that sorted. Saves all the faff at the roadside!
Would you go back guys
Trials and Tribulations of Caravanning 😂😂
Ah, but without such challenges, the evening beer would not taste so sweet!
Nobody gives their height or weight in metric - even the stupid scale weight with STONE is ridiculous because it doesnt tell your weight - nobody is doing the maths to figure out how many stone X lbs + the extra lbs to give the total actual weight , ie 237 lbs or whatever - also buying fuel in litres is dumb as no one asks how many miles to the litre does you car do - UK measuring system is a complete screw up
