    I knew joe was going to be successful in college football when he was at Ohio state. But oh well urban meyer had to make a decision. Go Joe burrow

  • @jasartrip9598
    @jasartrip9598 Před 4 lety

    joe burrow doesn't have any bad blood at all for ohio state, it was Urban Meyer who played jt barrett when he had a heisman runner up and a heisman winner on the sidelines. There wasn't a buckeye I can think of that didn't want him to play. Now meyer is gone and ohio state has to be called the team that didn't want him, damn shame. besides, Haskins was the runner up to the heisman whereas burrow wasn't even on the finalist list, the correct decision to play haskins was right. Not a person in the world would have predicted the jump from junior to senior he made.

  • @SuperSyrianHero
    @SuperSyrianHero Před 4 lety +2

    Urban made a huge mistake by letting Joe go. Joe is way better than Haskins or Fields.I hope we can beat LSU but it's not very likely.

    • @ModelTrainOutsider
      @ModelTrainOutsider Před 4 lety +6

      Considering the record-shattering year Haskins had last year, I highly doubt Burrows would have been better. Burrows had an injury and Haskins passed him on the depth chart in 2017. When Haskins beat him out head to head in the Spring of 2018, Burrows left. Fields was not involved in any of it. Seeing the success both Haskins and now Fields have had under Day, your comment seems ludicrously uneducated.

    • @dstacyify
      @dstacyify Před 4 lety +4

      A year ago Burrow was not better than Haskins. He took a major leap this season. OSU is more than capable of beating LSU (LSU's defense isn't great and can be run on).

    • @SuperSyrianHero
      @SuperSyrianHero Před 4 lety +2

      @@ModelTrainOutsider I know Haskins had a great season last year, but a lot of it had to do with the receivers making him look better than he actually is (as you can see by Haskins' performance now in the NFL). I believe Burrow is a generational talent who will excel even in the next level. As a coach, it's your job to see the potential in a player and I just feel like Urban made the wrong decision by picking Haskins over Burrow.

    • @RoLPeace
      @RoLPeace Před 4 lety +3

      Burrow was injured. He left on his own. The defense was horrific last season. Joe does not play defense. I dont see OSU any better off with Joe.

    • @brianhackleman7468
      @brianhackleman7468 Před 4 lety +3

      Ryan Day talked about it once and how hard the decision was between Haskins and Burrow knowing that whoever didn't get the starting spot would leave. Hard to argue against when you look at record setting year of Haskins He left on good terms and my wife and I started watching LSU games just because he was still a buckeye. But, I respect that he's also become a Tiger.
