  • NOBODY Is Noticing This About Saquon Barkley
Saquon Barkley recorded a 100-yard rushing performance finishing with 102 yards on 21 carries when he played against the Chicago Bears, the same opponents, and the same ground he tore his ACL in the second week of the 2020 NFL season. The performance is one that shows why New York Giants took a gamble on him when he was picked as the No. 2 pick in the NFL draft. However, rather than be an asset which was what the Giants thought, Barkley, has made more runs on the treatment table than he has on the pitch. Apart from the torn ACL, he has also sprained his ankle and been on the sidelines for the majority of the past two seasons.
With the 2022 NFL season coming up, we have to wonder if Saquon Barkley will make the great comeback and reach his full potential!

Barkley has all the talent in the world and can truly take over a game and could easily be one of the best backs in football if not for his injuries I hope that this year we finally get to see the Barkley that we saw in college and his rookie year because when he is healthy he is an amazing player to watch

  • @Jbillion7

If you watched any giants games Instead of looking at a stat sheet you’ll see almost every single time Barkley was in the backfield teams would stack the box knowing our line couldn’t block for their lives so he was tackled as soon as he was handed the football in most situations. Can’t say at all the o-line in any way have him an opportunity to actually run the football. The giants O-line did improve with Even Neal out there so hopefully we can actually see something this year

I've heard the story of Munro's motorcycle on the salt flats in 1967. He showed up to break the speed record but each year broke down, something broke each year, his competitors laughed at him. Till the next year 1967, this time nothing broke down and they laughed no more as he became the fastest human on a motorcycle ever...enter Barkley, he's broke down before, been doubted, been laughed at, but this is his year to shut up those laughing!!! He's top 5 back this year and may end up being number 1 by end of the season!!!!

I don't think anyone would argue that the kid came into the league with incredible combine numbers and unlike many players with great numbers he showed an ability to use those athletic tools on the field. He's only 25 and the there's still time to right the ship, but the best ability is available and in that area he's struggled. The Giants haven't done him any favors though. One thing that I think people often gloss over is that when athletes have next level athletic ability they often times become too dependent on that ability, so when they have a few injuries that bring their abilities back down to that of just another good player, they struggle. The guy who is used to squeezing every ounce of ability out of his body, because he has to will often out perform the beast when there isn't as big of a disparity ability wise. Leg injuries for backs often turn great backs into good backs.

If you have been watching 26 this off season, you know the guy is finally at 100% health or better for the first time since his rookie year. He also looks stronger, has regained his confidence from the big injury scares, is more motivated then before, plus has both Buffalos, and Kansas Cities highly successful OCs from the past recent years coaching him up to be equally used as a receiver and running back to optimize his massive big play ability. I definitely wouldn’t be surprised if he completely shocks the NFL in 2022 with a huge performance.

Hes literally had two injuries. This video makes it sound extensive. He is only 25 and 2 years removed from acl surgery. Its football and injuries are
gonna happen. That said, he is no longer being asked to power run every play in Jason Garretts offense. Once this line gels and Neal settles in this offense will score points. We lost a lot of close games last year with an offense that was putrid because of the system. The D is gonna be solid we just need the offense to grow and get better as the season goes. This offense will adapt when things arent working unlike Judge and Garrett. Im not saying we win every game but this team will be competitive and fun to watch.
