Messing about with a long (54 second) tape loop on the Marantz CP230. The Hologram Electronics Microcosm is being used pretty sparingly, mainly for a bit of reverb and its looper.

Yeah I do really love my Microcosm but I do find that it’s not the first bit of hardware I reach for unfortunately! This is through no fault of the Microcosm though and is probably that I just need to delve into what it can do more deeply! 🎛️🎛️🎛️

Yeah a lot of my stuff consists of multiple asynchronous tape loops of different lengths playing at the same time, these different lengths allow the loops to ebb and swell around each other creating new melodies each time. This also means that timing is pretty much all over the place which is why I rarely use any sort of percussion! 😜
