Mais mon choix est sans hésitation Cecilia Bartoli dont les prouesses techniques vocales sont toujours au service avant tout de l'expression d'un texte. Rien que en l'écoutant on a l'impression d'être sur une scène d'opéra et de suivre une belle histoire
le choix est subjectif, car elles sont toutes merveilleuses. aussi tout dépend avec quel orcherstre et conducteur elles sont accompagnées... c'est une alchimie ...et là Sandrine Piau avec jean Christophe Spinosi à la direction, c'et le must
Comme ce questionnement me plonge dans ce qui est certain et que je ne peux pourtant que si mal nommer ! Chaque voix me conduit ailleurs mais dans ce voyage ce sont les voix d’Hallenberg et de Bartoli qui m’ouvrent des champs les plus profonds et subtils Merci
Each one is beautiful in her own range of voice and peculiar way of singing; however, for my taste in interpretative quality, I prefer Cecilia Bartoli.
I think Invernizzi is an excellent singer, but I don't like her here at all - she takes 3-4 breaths where others take one or none (Bartoli!), sounds like she's drowning, and not even the changes of register are clean. I like her variations in the dacapo part, though. Piau's interpretation is brilliant and flawless, but for this specific piece I prefer richer voices like Genaux's and Bartoli's. It's a pity that the quality of Hallenberg's interpretation is so bad, otherwise she might have been a favorit, too.

Vivica Genaux. For some strange reason, I associate her voice with Chianti wine. Especially in this aria.
All are very impressive - personally I prefer the simple brilliance of Sandrine Peau and the dramatic furor of Cecilia Bartoli.
